Bien que Louis Isidore Kahn (1902-1974) ait commencé sa carrière tardivement, les quelques projets qui lui furent confiés furent réalisés à la perfection. Avec le Jonas Salk Institute à La Jolla, Kahn créa un espace de travail aux caractéristiques fonctionnelles et esthétiques indéniables. Le Kimbell Art Museum, à Fort Worth, instaura dans une ville sans visage, une île de spiritualité, par la simplicité des formes et des matériaux utilisés. Cet ouvrage rassemble ainsi 17 projets de Kahn, des maisons privatives aux édifices religieux, bâtiments administratifs et espaces d'exposition.

Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).

If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.

An okay overview of Kahn's work but not as in-depth as some of the other books in the Taschen architect series. Concise and pleasant enough, though.
