Can a man take you seriously when he's witnessed all of the awkward phases of your life?
After a serious injury wrecks her plans for a place on the Olympic Equestrian Team, professional rider Missy Donovan marries security consultant Aaron Everett, a man she's known her entire life and loved since her teens. Only one problem - he doesn't love her in return.
Aaron has loved Missy since she was sixteen years old, but she's never expressed interest in him "that way". Despite promptings to tell her the truth, he can't bring himself to tell his wife that he's in love with her. Will she ever see him as more than the "big brother" who happened to grow up next door?

I received this book through goodreads first reads. I did not realize when I entered the giveaway that this was a Christian romance. I do not normally read them, however this did not stop me from really enjoying this book. It has a great plot and makes you want to yell at the characters to tell each other the truth. It flows very well and keeps your interest from start to finish. I did not want to put truth down. Dawn has a gift for writing.
I really enjoyed this christian romance. I liked how she included scripture as messages from God.It even has a surprising ending. The whole book held little surprises. Loved it.
This author has a wonderful way of telling a wonderful story that mimics real life struggles or both Christians and non. If only all Christian families had as strong an example of parenting as the parents in this novel then we would find many more functional families and churches. In a time of the 'me too' movement this story also shines as a winning example of facing one's own shortcomings and also learning to stand against those that prey on others. When we (I) listen to the voice of God life turns out so much better.
Great reading. Truth a very different way of wording a name of a Book but after reading it, a very truthful one. This was a very truthful book on the ins and outs of horses and the different types of sport they are involved in. Missy was very lucky to not loose her life but to be able to heal and learn to live on with Gods help and perseverance . It should all the ways we can go on when we are in this difficult situations. A great read and one I love to review in this way. Norma Gorrill
There was nothing in the summery about this being Christian literature. It was a great story that I enjoyed but there was a lot of praying and talking to god throughout that drew out the story unnecessarily.
I enjoyed the ups and downs in the lives of the characters. The example of faith in God of the parents and the discovery of God’s leading in each person’s life progressed well. As I hate giving spoilers, I’ll just add there is a HEA :)
Oh my gosh this book was beautifully written. I love this family and friends. Two of her brothers I would like to take a paddle to. You need to read this series.
