I thoroughly enjoyed this southern cooking cookbook. Lara Carter, one of the cookbook authors grew up and resides in south Georgia. Her home is close to where I was born and raised so for me the cookbook was an homage to familiar eats. Many of her recipes feature local products such as the Mayhaw jelly used in the Glazed Ham recipe and Vidalia onions in the Vidalia Onion Casserole. Dee-Lish!

I have earmarked a dozen or more recipes I want to try in my kitchen. For seafood recipes I can't wait to prepare her Georgia Inspired Shrimp and Grits or the Roasted Red Snapper. She has included a variety of side dishes such as Slow Cooker Black-Eyed Peas, Three-Cheese Mac n Cheese, and Marinated Slaw . A variety of interesting wines are paired with each meal inspiring me to not only prepare a new dish but to glam it up by including a complimentary bottle of wine.

Loved it!
