Composing Gender explores questions around the central concept of Is gender binary, or more complicated? How do we define gender and sexuality? What stereotypes, expectations, and rituals shape gender? What influence does the media have on gender? A lot of very useful readings for my freshman seminar A Man's Man and a Woman's Woman. I don't use all of the readings, but I have found several very useful. Nice updates from many of the 90s era readings I had been using.
