Helpful to parents who have kids with AS

It's like a text book instead of read at one sitting type
Hence it took me a while to go through the whole book.
But it was really helpful, especially about certain topics, which are probably related to my ignorance.
I read a chapter, let it sink, improve my approach and move on to the next one.

Good advice. Not just for parenting a teen with Asperger Syndrome but these parenting advices can also be applied for parenting for all teens.

This book comes across as being heartfelt and seems to have good intentions. I liked that this is written very conversationally, as if sitting down with another parent; however, at times - often within a page or two - the author gets repetitive. (For example, the suggestion is made several times within a chapter section to think back to difficult times in our own adolescence to better relate to our child.)

I also had some issues with the premise of "people with Aspergers are like everyone else, only more so." Well...yes. And ...not so much.

I often struggle with parenting how-to books and I always have. Perhaps this may have worked better for me as a memoir.

I guess this is wonderful information if your child has been with you their whole life and not suddenly and "adult" and entering your life. I found it informative but made me feel like I had lost a lot of time in using some of the information. Still would recommend to others entering these stages.
