Dark, moving and original, a story of family, survival, and getting on with life...

Flynn Sinclair understands pack loyalty — for years as his Alpha father’s enforcer, he has done things in the name of duty that he can’t ever forget. But the vast expanse of Alaska offers him a peace he’s never known. Alone, removed from pack life, he can focus on his research and try to forget his life before.

But duty has a way of inviting itself in, and Flynn finds himself doing two reckless things in one week: leaving the safety of Alaska to save his brother Connor’s life, and unwittingly falling in love with Evie Thompson, a woman who doesn’t deserve to be drawn into his terrifying world.

Connor carries news of their father’s descent into madness, and it looks like neither geography nor Flynn’s attempts at disengagement will put off a confrontation. Flynn had finally begun to believe that he might deserve something good in his life — something like Evie — but to move forward in the light, he must first reconcile with the dark.

Red Moon was one of those books you couldn’t help but love. I personally have a fascination with the Paranormal Romance genre and shifters are by far one of my favorites. Red Moon mostly follows Flynn and Evie, but Dana, and Connor are definitely important characters and all of them have layers to their development that you can’t help but love, relate too or want to know more about.

Here again I will likely sound like an obsessive woman with her dang book boyfriends and most of them are the bad boys, Grant’s character Connor is no exception. While I enjoyed Flynn and Evie I found myself wanting more Connor. (this is a good thing as I am a character driven reader)

I’ve read some great Werewolf books this year and they have all taken different part of the lycanthrope legend and Grant did the same creating an wonderful story with so many layers that I’ve yet to see any of the other shifter/werewolf books I’ve read.

I would also like to say that I loved the way she bled pack mentality in too the Sinclair’s human lives. Their family dynamic was raw, cruel at times, and true to the nature of wolves. All in all this is a definite 4.5 stars for me and I can only hope and pray that there is a second story in the works that will give us some more bad-boy Connor goodness.

This isn't the traditional werewolf story, but I loved it.

Evie left an emotionally abusive relationship. She moved to rural Alaska to find herself.
She wasn't looking for a man when Flynn steps into her life, and even though she fights it, she falls hard and fast.
They both have tortured pasts, and there's someone after Flynn and his bad boy brother.
I won't say more because I don't want to spoil it.

If you love paranormal romance, and better yet, stories about werewolves, this story is for you.

Realizing the relationship she Evie Thompson had been in, has completely overtaken her life in an unhealthy way she packs up and moves to Alaska. Still suffering the after effects of her past relationship two years later, Evie balks when she meets Flynn Sinclair. Everything about Flynn is intense, dominant, but there is a tenderness quality to him that Evie sees and is not sure what to do with.

After a tumultuous past with his Alpha father, Flynn flees to Alaska to live a quiet life. When he is summoned to clean up a mess his older brother has found himself in, Flynn gets the feeling he can't escape his past. Meeting Evie though throws him completely, he knows she is his mate but convincing her is a whole different matter. Finding a delicate balance between watching over his brother and earning Evie's trust, Flynn realizes he has put Evie in danger.

I loved this story, Flynn is a total Alpha hero and I hope this becomes a series. There is a whole back story for Flynn that catapults this story to something special. I thought the author had a talented way of creating the characters in a very visual way, you can easily imagine each scene. Excellent read, highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of meeting M.A. at the 2014 RWA conference in San Antonio and we had a wonderful chat about our various projects. When she told me about her werewolf series, I had to check it out! Werewolves are really my favourite paranormal creature.

The strength of this book is the interesting dynamic of the Sinclair brothers. They love each other...and yet, they don't. You can lay the blame for that squarely at their father's feet — manipulative, psychopathic bastard that he is. The romance was surprisingly sweet when juxtaposed against the harshness of the Sinclairs' reality and it made me feel good that at least one of the brothers was getting a happily ever after. He deserved it! (They all do.)

I'm eager to see how the brothers manage to overcome the teachings of their father and find a life for themselves that isn't overshadowed by his brutal presence.

“We should get married?”
Flynn’s jaw tightened. He nodded. “After not really dating for a few weeks?”
“Don’t overthink it. Besides, what’s the point in delaying the inevitable?”

this man really said- don't overthink it ✋🤣

this is how i want my future husband to propose to me 🥹

"Red Moon" by M.A. Grant is book one in the "Sinclair Pack" series. It focuses on Flynn and Evie. Flynn is trying to get away from his alpha fathers pack and moves to Alaska. He runs into Evie and is drawn to her. Evie is freshly out of a bad relationship. She is not looking to jump into any relationship anytime soon. Flynn isn't looking for anything either. He is enjoying being away from the pack and not having to deal with pack issues. When something comes up with his brother Connor, Flynn doesn't have a choice but to help out. I'm enjoying the start of this series by M.A. Grant. I'm not sure how many books will be in it, but I will be moving onto book two to see what happens with Connor and Dana. The ending of this book has me wanting more.

I liked that both leads were broken, and suffered in a similar way. Both Flynn and Evie had been cheated on and humiliated. Flynn knew about being controlled by a sociopathic father, and Evie was controlled by her ass of a ex-boyfriend. Because both of their relationships ended horribly they both separately moved to Alaska to take some time to heal. Unfortunately that is where their good sense ended. Especially Evie’s.

The idea that they fell in love after knowing each other for about a week and going on one date was ridiculous, even for Flynn the wolf. There was nothing in the book that said Flynn had some mystical mate sense, and he was engaged in the past. His former mate/fiancé cheated on him and he couldn’t scent it on her, so much for animal instincts. Which means wolf and all Flynn is bumbling through life looking for love like the rest of us. Evie was in a extremely emotionally abusive relationship. When she meets Flynn he is a bit awkward and demanding. That alone should have sent her running for the hills. Instead she declares her love for him in spite of his nature and the danger being with him presents. After one date. I also wish the werewolf thing had been explained. Are only males wolves? Are there other packs? If there are why didn’t any of them intervene and stop Rupert?

The book does not end in a cliff hanger, but the source of true danger is not actually dealt with. I suppose it was necessary to leave a villain for the next story. The villain Rupert, Flynn’s father annoyed me because he was just evil for no reason. Everyone has a motivation, insane or not, yet we never get to find out Rupert’s. Rupert just runs around killing or trying to kill people all willy nilly. Although there was a lot to be desired when it came to this story I did like Evie’s best friend Dana and Flynn’s brother Connor. If they are the leads of the next installment I may read it.

NOTE: I received an ARC from NetGalley.

This needs work. Insta-love in less than 2 weeks and only a couple of outings? Flynn, Connor and even Owen have such a weird brother dynamic - I wanted to read more about that and whether they'd reconcile. I liked the Flynn-Connor scenes because they are totally what brothers would say to each other. Short, sarcastic exchanges, interspersed with a light touch, but never any hugs. Hell, I can see my own brothers doing that.

Evie... I dunno. I don't do weak women well. She's re-learning how to be confident, etc, and that's all fine. I get the 'survivor' thing in characters. (Mercy had to do that after her ****. Andrea struggled with a massively terrible childhood.)

I didn't believe their 'love' even though Flynn's a werewolf and all that insta-mate juujuu happens. This also felt short; the scenes seemed abrupt - jumping from one thing to another. I did like the italicized backstory at the beginning of some of the chapters. The climax/ending was way too short. I had to re-read what was happening to see where they were going.

The positive thing about this book: Dana and Connor. Now that is how you do it. I'd much rather read about them than Flynn and Evie's 'romance.'

SPOILER below:

I thought Evie was going to shoot that guy in the head. But no, Flynn got up and hit him. W.T.F. I was hoping for Evie to grow a backbone and redeem herself. I guess that was too much to ask for.

And marriage? COME ON. Give it a beat.

If this is a series, I'm unsure I would continue. Though if it's a book about Dana and Connor - I'm totally in.

I've never had any inkling or desire to read a paranormal book, but I saw some snippets of this book on a romance thread and was definitely intrigued enough to purchase it. So glad I did. The author certainly has a way with writing and making her characters so raw and elemental you have no choice but to love them.
The hero's tragic back story of abuse was so well done and had you rooting for him right away. The heroine also had her own fears to conquer and she managed to do it with the help of the hero.

I really loved how the author used the wolf inside as almost a secondary character. As if the hero needed to control him at times. Even if you aren't one for paranormal, I feel you would still like this book. It is so well written I think anyone can relate to it. The secondary characters were equally as interesting and I know the author is in the process of writing stories for them. I can't wait!

My only complaint is that is wasn't long enough. I wanted more of Flynn and Evie, with a nice dose of Connor and Dana on the side. I hope the author writes fast. I am anxious for more.

This is my first paranormal and I loved it. Flynn and Evie captured my imagination and made me want more. I thought not knowing much about this genre would give me a disadvantage, but M.A. Grant made it very clear what was happening without me needing any extra knowledge.

I loved the romantic storyline in this book, and the rocky road Flynn and Evie travelled to reach their destination was filled with adventure and tension. Evie's background was well explained right at the beginning, while Flynn's back story was shown in flashbacks. While normally the hero/heroine meet almost at once and connect, in this book they meet very briefly a few chapters in, and don't really bond until even more chapters later. I was so caught up with the storyline I didn't find that a problem, and when they did finally get together on a more meaningful level, I just wanted to shout a big hooray.

This is a well crafted, enjoyable adventure that kept me enthralled, and I couldn't put it down until I'd finished. Now I'm eagerly waiting for more from this very talented writer.

This thoroughly enjoyable PNR was just what I needed for my weekend reading. I immediately connected with Evie who escapes a toxic relationship and her doubts and fears truly resonated. The author really nailed this character's responses, and I loved it. Add to that the fact that Flynn's backstory isn't a walk in the park either, and I couldn't put this book down. I simply had to know whether they'd even manage to sort through their issues enough to be able to go on a date together!

I really appreciate how this author looks at different types of toxic relationships, and how different people adapt their survival strategies, showing the diversity of ways in which we humans deal with emotional pain. It's well done and added so much to this story, turning it from a simple "escape" from reality into something deeper that shines a light on human nature.

This duet definitely stands out among the PNR novels I've read. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something memorable with a deeper message.

This was an “almost great” type of book for me. The setting, premise, characters, plot, everything was there… but it somehow fell just a little short of awesome. I think for me, this was mainly due to the relationship development, which kind of stuttered along before suddenly diving towards “I know you’re a werewolf and I want to be with you forever.” There were also a couple plot points that confused me, such as Flynn leaving to protect Evie so his father’s thugs wouldn’t know she was important… but sleeping with her first? That being said, again, I thought there were many parts of the book that worked well and I will definitely be starting the next in the series.

Great read

I wasn't initially sure about picking this book up from the description. Boy, am I glad I did! The author handles some difficult issues from the lead characters with such a deft and skillful way, especially Flynn and his brother Connor. Highly recommended.

🌟 ℝ𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘: 4 stars - Really enjoyed overall, maybe had a couple meh complaints, but recommend to lovers of the genres

🤔 𝕀𝕞𝕡𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤: this review is for both Red and Blood Moon. I'm not typically a werewolf girlie but for some reason this duet caught my eye - likely because of the male narrators. immediately I was intrigued by the story here, brothers growing up in abuse and learning how to navigate that as adults. it felt like the story was much more character centered than werewolf centered, even though them being werewolves was intrgral to the plot, if that makes sense. I appreciated the character growth here, particularly in the second book where we follow Connor. I also appreciated Dana's reaction to Connor's wolf
which was to scream and shoot him
, which was way more believable to me haha. I wouldn't say this was a slow burn by any means, but the relationships developed at a much more reasonable pace than the typical "lust at first sight" (though there was also that). no weird sexual werewolf stuff, except for one hilarious reference to birthing a litter of puppies 😂 if you're a typical fan of the genre, this might not be as intense as you prefer, but it was still a really lovely tale of family, finding yourself, and learning to love yourself and others.

🎧 𝔸𝕦𝕕𝕚𝕠𝕓𝕠𝕠𝕜: both were great! I dont recall cringing at any female voice attempts (even during the spicy parts), and Ibreally enjoyed both books' audio experiences.

🌶️ 𝕊𝕡𝕚𝕔𝕖: definitely not gratuitous, not counting the constant string of sexual thoughts from all the characters. so when sexual encounters happen they are not out of nowhere and there's a bit of triumph cause the buildup has been pretty good.

🧠 𝔸𝕝𝕝 𝕀𝕟 𝔸𝕝𝕝: honestly, I wish this was a trilogy so we could get the POV of the last brother; maybe that will be in the works and just isn't out yet. I'm not sure how much more story there was to tell, though, so she probably quit while she was ahead and that's something more authors need to learn to do. because of that logic, I can't even be mad lol

I will start of by saying I have an unhealthy obsession with werewolves. I love werewolves, I want to be a werewolf, I adore anything werewolf related.. right now I have gotten that out the way back to Red Moon.

This take on werewolves was slightly different to other books being that it was only the males that became werewolves genetically. It took me a while to get into this story, I am not quite sure why it may come back to my obsession with werewolves. It took a little while before we saw some werewolf action. Or maybe it was because I was struggling through a book rut at the time I was trying to read this and no fault to this story at all. Flynn is a great character with a love for his family (or most of them) even if that is going against what he was taught growing up. Evie came out of a mentally abusive relationship and I felt she was strong for not allowing herself to fall into that pattern again and watching out for the signs. Cooper now he is a gem on this story and I really am hoping to get more from him. By the looks of the epilogue we are going to get just that.

I only had two problems with the book. The first was Evie realising she loved him after only seeing him 3 times, 2 of those had been 2 minutes in duration. It just wasn't very believable that she could love him that quick. The second was the dreams and flashbacks that Flynn had. They were written in italics so I knew they weren't the present but sometimes I couldn't tell if the dreams were flashbacks or just dreams. Some needed explaining just a little more. But in saying that it didn't take anything away from the story and once I feel into it I was well and truly stuck.

Well done M.A. Grant. I'm looking forward to reading more from you and these characters.

"Red Moon" us one of those books that was just middle of the road for me. It really did not live up to its potential, it left some open and in your face unanswered questions ( no, not cliffhanger type); but it also wasn't a bad read. So, I ask you, what do you do with a book like this? Well, for me, I've decided not to go on with the series.

Flynn, Connor and Owen are three brothers who grew up in the sick brutally if their insane werewolf father, billionaire, Rupert Sinclair. Flynn managed to walk away five years ago when he discovered his fiancee's pregnancy and infidelity. He now resides in Alaska after he managed t relocate his older t, Connor to Las Vegas. Then, one day. Owen comes to visit informing Flynn he needs help squashing a brutal attack Connor committed on a prostitute.

As Flynn re-enters the rule world of Rupert Sinclair he is forced to take Connor back to Alaska with him. Meanwhile, Evie Thompson has barely managed to survive becoming the Stepford girlfriend of Trevor. As she overheard a few of his clients discussing her naivete of his various affairs she finally makes the decision to leave him and moves to Alaska where she teaches cooking with her former college roommate, Dana.

When Evie accidentally meets Flynn she is dumbfounded by her intense attraction to him but she has a track record of days dating jerks and she is not about to repeat those mistakes. The plot us pretty typical but had potential to be really good. Unfortunately, the author rushed things coming up short in the creative and intensity department. Truly I don't understand why she rushed things since this book is only 167 pages.

I recommend you read this book for yourself and decide. In the end life is too short to read mediocre books, at least for me.

A debut book from this author and it's got some great stuff going. In a way it's kind of a paranormal without being paranormal. The world is actually pretty much an everyday kind of world, if you call Alaska normal. Then there is Flynn, Connor and Owen and their father Rupert. The boys are struggling with their inner wolf like so many young men, only this is REALLY an inner wolf that can be an outer wolf.

I liked the premise of the wolves coming out at will or when emotions are out of control, rather than the traditional Full Moon thing, though apparently the moon does influence their 'Change'. It wasn't fully explained but it is part of a series so I imagine more of those details will come into play. It has shades of the way the wolf pack in Twilight operates but I wouldn't consider it derivative. These wolves aren't as nice for a start.

The romance between Evie and Flynn was cute even if a little abrupt on Evie's part. The insta-lust on her part and the wolfy scent attraction on his was acceptable but I was a little surprised at how quickly Evie fell for him considering her past history of an abusive controlling boyfriend. I expected a little more conflict their because of the alpha-ish behaviour of Flynn's wolf side. All the same it was very sweet and Flynn was a real puppy-dog when love hit.

Over all I enjoyed reading this book. The secondary characters, Connor and Evie's friend Dana look all set to be Book 2 in the series and it looks very promising. It was a little uneven in places but very readable and kept me interested right until the end.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a really excellent read! I've been kind of stuck in this endless loop of shifter reads, but this one really stood out. Something about the deep character development, flipping POVs, and awesome smut really had me loving this book.

The story revolves around Evie and Flynn, who are thrown together thanks to their own dysfunctional previous relationships. Also helping push them together is Flynn's really patriarchal family of shifters. His brother, Connor, was a great broken sort of character that we will hopefully see more of in a book 2 (please?). The boy meets girl is a little twisted up in this book, giving Evie a great deal of power of the seemingly most powerful shifter/man/general hottie. It was great to watch them learn how to interact like normal folks, and the chemistry was sizzling. There was also a good deal of action to keep the pages turning.

Like I said before, even after a nice HEA ending, I want to see more of Connor! I really hope to see more from this author in the future.

I really liked this book and felt sorry for these hot shifter brothers! Flynn is the middle brother and he was raised with an abusive father and he fights to protect his older brother Connor and also the women who has caught his eye! Follow Flynn's story as he fights to do what's right and learns to fall in love with a women who has had her own share of troubles. Will she be able to deny the attraction she feels for Flynn? Will he be able to handle the attraction he feels for her? What will happen whe she finds out his a werewolf?

hum is there a point to this story?

The book begun pretty nicely with two people running from there past, both ending up in the wilderness of Alaska. But apart from the very strong attraction of both Evie and Flynn, the rest of the story seemed off.
We don't know where the werewolves come from, anything about them, why Rupert is the way he is... all is very vague. As for the rest, well, it went a bit awkwardly too fast and too slow at times. it is either one or the other and making the rhythm of the book really strange.

This was a great new idea in the werewolf story! The writing style was a little confusing at times (I had to re-read a few parts) but over all it was refreshing! I thought it ended poorly though. Too quick without explanation into detail and the epilogue was NOT even about the main characters AT ALL, but a mere intro to a possible new story for other characters that were secondary.

This was my first shape shifter story and I am totally hooked on the Sinclairs. Flynn was yummy and I could totally relate to the heroine, Evie. I loved how both overcame their pasts to find love and happiness with one another.

Looking forward to Connor's story next!
