Dane Sidorov needs a break and time to heal. What he doesn’t need is a cute little and most definitely sexy distraction named, Aida Roberts. Or the emotions meeting her stirred up within him. But this dark-skinned vixen didn’t seem to realize what she had done to him, or what she means to his soul. Aida Roberts loves her life in South Africa. She has met all kinds of people, some who need help and some who don’t, but all interesting. When she runs into the larger-than-life Dane Sidorov, she wondered if he didn’t actually need help despite his portrayal calm and confidence. There was something wild and untamed about him as he stared at her with his amazing eyes. A feeling of “safety” and “danger” emanated from him. Would this unusual man be able to let her in, or would his secret drive them further apart? When the darkness threatens, will Dane sacrifice himself or allow her to help save him? Can he accept the fact she is nothing less than… His Purrfect Mate

Tried reading this ages ago and gave up as too confusing. Tidying up my books I decided to have another go. Started again but just too annoying with what feels like two separate storylines. Pushed on as I hate not finishing a book, feel like I’ve wasted my time. Dane the soldier’s story then Dane and Aida’s story. We jumped from one to the other and even at the end they felt separate. This part where he phones the army, gets taken away, then escapes was just so irrelevant as to be stupid. Did love the part with Lena but again, lacking information on what he did to the Jones. We are left to assume how Dane dealt with this horrible man. At the end, though we get an epilogue years down the line, I just felt like this was part of a series with more to be resolved.
This is a well written story about Dane a hundreds years old enforcer of shifters and also a special forces operative. His own commander Slim, killed his entire platoon and thought Dane was dead, too. Little did he know of Dane's uniqueness. He travels to South Africa and lives in villages helping wherever he is needed. He and his tiger are fighting each other and the darkness that tries to consume them, until he meets Aida. She gives them a reason to live and his tiger wants to claim her constantly. Will Dane convince Aida she is his one true mate that he will lay his life down for?
This book had a good storyline to it. In the middle it had a part that I am not really sure what was going on.. but I think there is more story to it, so it might be in another book. So that bit made the rating go down for me. But I will definitely be reading more book from this author
I have never read a book where the female main character was really controversy and so strong headed, but I must say it was a great read. Wonderful writing especially when Dane takes Lera in his protection and as a daughter very 8work Aliyah Burke.
I really enjoyed this book. I usually don't read many of his type, but this one really drew me in. I thought the tale into the unknown was throughly interesting and it really held my attention. The love story between Aida and Dane really pulled me in as well. I love how they spoke to each other in their heads. It really cemented their bond. I feel like there is more to this story and am looking forward to reading it.
I liked this book but I felt like there was something missing the connection between the two essential characters just was not there . I could not understand , maybe its because it felt like it started in the middle of another story I don't know but I just could not connect with the characters like I wanted to. I would like to read more about this storyline so I will look for the next book.
I really liked this book. Thank you to the author, I won it in a contest. I hope there is or will be another along similar lines.
The heroine in this story is a very strong woman who knows what she wants & is not afraid to stand up to a strong alpha male tiger. I would love to read more about Dane & I really want to know more about Aida & Lera. All in all, a wonderful story.
It took me a couple tries to get through this but all in all not a bad read. It had some elements that made it fantastic but that humdinger in the last 20 pages was uncalled for and left it a bit off kilter for me. Even the epilogue didn't clear it up.
I wanted more in this story because I enjoyed it. I wanted to see what more would happen when the evil forces that Dane was fighting up against. Hope to be reading more from this author.
