All in all, this is a thorough guide for all budding artists who want to start up a business.
I found this book very different to other business start-up books.
I have always found it difficult to find books that are really geared towards creative people and written in a language they can understand. This one really hits the mark.
It contains everything you need to know to get your creative business up and running and keep the momentum going once you have. There are some great case studies to break up the trickier topics and endless references for where to go next for advice.
I don't think there is another book that compares so I will certainly be referring back to this one time and again.
Great book, covers a lot of information for new starters in a language that designers, artists and makers understand. Very useful for new starters, tutors, students and anyone thinking about running a small creative business. There is so much information for a small business to get the heads round, it is fabulous to get some help.
I can't recommend this book highly enough. It's absolutely essential for anyone in a creative field, but also invaluable for anyone starting their own business. It has a wealth of information that would take years to figure out yourself. It has helped me avoid some costly mistakes. Essential in this day when so many businesses fail
Excellent book for creative people who want to start-up a business, gives all the info you need in well written and plain English, and was a real help to me when I setup my business.
