Although I'm more on the romance side of erotica...I do read the other side of it, as well...even if it scares the hell out of me! Haha! All joking aside, Back to School is very well written and so descriptive you can actually see the story as if watching a movie.
Dylan did a great job giving the characters their unique personalities. Kristi, a 31 year old alumni of the highschool her niece attends, hasn't changed much since her days on the teen scene, both in appearance and attitude. When she takes on the task of picking her niece up from school, reminiscence distracts her to the point of A.D.D. and, after discovering a secret hiding place she had in her old locker, she doesn't notice, until it's much too late, that she isn't alone in the hallway. The dean catches her taking a swig of alcohol and inadvertently mistakes her for a student. Disciplinary action is needed and Mr. Smith is more than happy to apply it in this situation. Kristi, thinking it would be fun to let him continue assuming she was a student, is in for a big surprise.
Mr. Smith, the dean of discipline takes his job very seriously...too seriously. The discipline he likes to practice is old school style with rulers and paddles, and using it on Kristi proves to be non-threatening to himself, being that she has broken several rules, some of them misdemeanors.
Kristi finds herself in the most compromising position and there is no way out of it. She attempts to explain when things start going a little too far for her taste, but she's quickly gagged and bound with no way of warning him that he was messing with the wrong person.
I won't spoil the outcome for you, but I can tell you that it's a bit of a surprise. I expected it to end with...well...you'll just have to read it for yourself!
I gave it five stars. Not my normal read, but it is very well written and a hot read for this genre. If Dom/sub and rough sex is what your looking for...this is the book for you.

Dylan Cross likes to give his female protagonists names that begin with the letter K - and I can see why. There is something emotive in the shape, something both spiky and sensual. Here, we find Kristi waiting for her niece, Katie, to finish school - Kristi's old high school with its familiar smells and dreamy reminiscences. Kristi feels transported back in time, the power of her memories so strong it seems as if she is truly back in that time, the years peeling away from her face and body the same as they peel away from her mind. She finds her old locker and can barely believe there is a bottle of spirits waiting there to be unscrewed and sipped...

The voice doesn't shake her out of the nostalgia, but takes her down, down as if into the depths of the past and she becomes what Mr Smith, the dean of discipline, believes she is: a disrespectful, class-skipping, booze-addled student who needs a serious taste of discipline. Driven partly by vanity, Kristi at 31 likes being taken for an 18 year old, and partly by a sense of an explorer entering the unknown, she follows Mr Smith into his office with a prickly feeling over the soft flesh of her posterior and a sense that her life is about to change...perhaps forever.

Ok so when I first started reading this, I really wasn't sure where the story line was going to go. Kristi goes back to school and is mistaken for a student breaking the rules in the hallway and gets gets dragged to the office where she gets disciplined roughly by Mr. Smith. I actually enjoyed what I was reading (though some of the beatings scenes I found a little too rough) until I got to the end. I started thinking that maybe Kristi and Mr. Smith had actually already known each other and they were role playing. Or Mr. Smith and Kristi had gone to high school together and she didn't recognize him and this was a form of pay back, but boy was I wrong.
My reasoning behind giving it 3 stars:(1) I've read plenty of professor/student relationships in books before, however, Mr. Smith does to Kristi thinking she's a HIGH SCHOOL student! Which I'm not down for. In a way he's abusing female students and that's not right. I probably would have been more on board if this all took place in a college or University.
(2) Wish it was longer. And I would maybe like a continuation to the story where maybe Mr. Smith isn't preying on the female population at the school and there is more to the story.
I do like the way the author wrote and I will definitely check out some of his other books as this is the first one of his I've read.

This was a very HOT discipline story. As Kristi visits her old school to pick someone up, she gets "caught" by the dean doing things that school students are not allowed to do. Then, she tries to explain, only to find herself in a situation where she is unable to.
This was my first student/teacher (type) dynamic like this and I enjoyed it. It was definitely sexy! And that ending had me raising my eyebrows! ;D

While I found the premise of this story interesting, I was appalled at how it played out. I kept hoping it was a fantasy all in her mind, or a pre-arranged meeting. No administrator in his right mind would ever act this way toward a student.
I'm only giving this 3 stars because I did read the entire thing, and enjoyed the first chapter.

This book was very well written. It was well composed and very descriptive. I only deduct one star because I find parts of the story a little disturbing and distasteful. If you’re into BDSM and darker stories, this book might be a good read!

This is my first book by Dylan Cross and I have mixed feelings on it. When it comes to erotica, I can suspended my belief in reality and know that what happened in the story probably wouldn't happen in real life--at least not without the cops, lawyers and social services getting involved. I enjoyed the plot--dean mistakes an adult for a student and proceeds to teach her how to respect authority though physical, sexual and psychological abuse--but it dragged a little in the middle of the book (too much spanking). Once the dean and 'student' finally got it on, I enjoyed it much more.
I don't read much erotica because I like stories with character development, back stories (you get a little from the heroine, Kristi), love and happy endings. You don't get that here. It's just sex. (I wish the dean and Kristi would've talked after he realized she wasn't a student but the book ended. Their encounter could've been the perfect start to a sexy relationship.)
The only part I didn't like was that a tiny part at the end when Kristi realizes her niece (a real student) has spent time with the dean too. I'd hoped this encounter with the dean and Kristi was his first time doing something like this but it wasn't, so I lost all respect (and my hots) for him.
The novella ends at 92% and we get another short story called 'Extra Credit' for the remaining 8% by author, Sarah Daltry. This story was good, sexy and dirty too but the editing was horrible. Multiple character dialogue, descriptions, etc, was clumped together in big paragraphs which made it hard to read. Other than editing issues, I liked the story.
Overall, 4 Stars for Back to School and 2.5 Stars for Extra Credit.

When I read this book I had very little idea what the true content of this book would be. For any readers I warn you this is more of a book about abuse and humiliation that anything else. I have read some professor or teacher and students books, this one however is much darker.
Kristi is a woman who has come to the local high school to pick up her niece after school because she has a little time before her niece gets out she decides to walk around the school and take a trip down memory lane. During this trip she decides to try her old locker and finds out that the combo still works she also finds the secret stash location in the locker. After finding the contraband still in the locker the dean of discipline catches her and assumes she is a student. Kristi never reveals that she is not a student but even though she worries about some of the content that she has on her she never gets a chance to stop the man. Kristi thinks the man will give her detention or that he will try and call her parents and the whole thing will be sorted out. She did not know he was going to beat her with items in his office.
The main problem I have with this story is even though she likes some of the darker things that this man does to her she has no plans on telling any authority figure what he does. The only reason he does this to her and later she sees marks on her niece is because he thinks she is a student. So instead of making sure he doesn't do this to another young person she just shrugs it off. I was offended by the ending of this story and even though I have a fairly open mind about my reading I thought the fact that he would have what is implied violence against a person under the age of 18 with no consequences offensive. It is an ok story but you have to have a really open mind

If you want to get turned on and get creeped out all the same time? read this book. I love the idea of naughty school girl and her wicked ways of messing with the disciplinarian. Mr. Smith the dean of discipline is Creepy with a capital C and Kristi is a naughty girl looking for trouble when she gets mouthy with him. Kristi is not even a student and there is no arguing with the dean when he suspects the student needs discipline. But the moment she gets into the deans office she can't get out of her situation and it goes from her playing a sexy sad student to her getting an ass beating she deserves. I loved the how the creeper Mr. Smith crosses all kinds of lines and takes charge of a "suspected" naughty student. The spankings were hot and the thoughts Kristi has while getting them and then getting turned on is comical at times. I love how the tables turn on him once she goes down on him and how he makes her wait for him to pleasure her.
Yes Mr. Cross has went over the lines a bunch in this story but that's what I expect when I read his books. My panties were on fire and still are as I write this review!

Kristi went to her old HS to pick up her niece Katie and found herself remincing about her high school days. She went to her old locker that still opened to her combination. She found the secret compartment and it had a bottle jagermeister in it. She was caught by the dean and brought to his office. She knows it looks like she is in a heap of trouble but she knew she could weasel her way out of it. This is her game so she thought, but dean has plans of his own to teach her a lesson in being obedient to authority.

This is one of my favorite books by Dylan Cross. 31 yr old exotic dancer Kristi is back at her old high school to pick up her niece when she is caught in the hallway by the Dean, who thinks she is a student. Instead of telling the Dean the truth she lets him think she is a student to a point of no return. The Dean takes his job seriously and wants to teach this harlot a lesson in modesty and self respect. Mr Smith is old-school and left last impressions. This book is well written and very hot. I could see this in my mind as if I were watching it.

While I enjoyed the writing style and overall story line this book was a little to hard core for me personally. For me the discipline went a little to far on the painful scale. However, I know many people who would enjoy that aspect of this erotic tale. So if your into a more hard core erotica and dominance this is definitely for you! If your a little more faint of heart or only thinking this will be some playful spanking you may want to pass on this one.

"Back To School" is a smutty read that will get the juices flowing if you like a taboo case of mistaken identity at a high school. This does happen between two adults and is very explicit, but the ending makes you realize that the Dean has done this before and therefore should be fired for his actions. This is however a means to live out a fantasy in book form, so if you have always wanted to be disciplined for being a naughty school girl, then this is the book for you!

This is one dirty, hot read! Just what I love about Dylan.
I've read a few of his stories and they are action packed, sex-filled and erotic as all hell.

Insanely hot...
I remember having a few teachers I would've gladly done this to! Amazingly hot, but a great story line behind it. Not meant authors can do that with a short story. Dylan Cross knows his stuff!

ok this story starts off on a mis-understanding. Then goes completely out of control. I don't know why I kept reading, but I did.
It was basically a sicko principle/dean that gets his rocks off on discipline, but Kristi ended up really enjoying it when she was hating it.

Interesting concept of returning to your school years after graduation. This is a very erotic tale and quite implausible. There was much more humiliation than I was comfortable with but There are other reader who would find the story a good read. The writing was good as was the flow.

School girl fantasy gets a high octane revamp in this extremely erotic short. The subtle twists were a welcome change to the school girl fantasy. This is one I will be reading again and looking forward to more from Dylan. I may even borrow a few of Mr. Smith's forms of discipline. A fan was born.
