This Bishop is about to be taken by a very sexy Knight. New reporter Eden Bishop is now working for billionaire Griffin Knight, but she’s still determined to expose his questionable business practices to the world. When he catches her snooping in his office, he punishes her… and punishment, she learns, can be surprisingly enjoyable. But sleeping with the boss is a dangerous gambit, and the end game is almost certain to be checkmate...
Meg Harris is a busy mom who spends her spare moments dreaming up worlds a little sexier than the one in which she drives kids around, runs to the grocery store, does endless loads of laundry, and scrubs the kitchen floor. Her chosen profession involves a great deal of time dedicated to imagining sweaty, gorgeous men in the throes of passion, as well as long hours spent poring over pictures of beautiful male chests in the pursuit of the perfect cover. It's a tough job, but she's willing to bear the hardships... all for her readers, of course!
Ok so I'm hooked! I would have liked a better ending to this one, but I know there's another one on the way. I will say that Ms Bishop's weakness for great sex may just be her undoing, but I can't wait to see how she bounces back.
Now...Meg Harris said book three was to come our in summer 2013 but I haven't been able to find it:( What to do?
I don't know how long the author intends to string this out but book 2 didn't wash with me. For someone who says she is a honest journalist, Eden is a definite pawn in this sex game and when he whistle's she jumps.
This is not a romantic novel but one of degrading humiliation at Griffins's hands. Plenty of hot and heavy sex scenes but there is no emotional connection between these two.
I actually cringed at the scene where he has her over his desk and her fellow journalists come in for a meeting (he orchestrated it)and they catch her under him - that was clearly his intention. Eden needs to "man" up and tell him where to put his job.
Meg Harris says book three was due out in Summer 2013 so where is it? We need a conclusion to convince us that there is going to be some emotional attachment between these two. I would have given this 3 stars because it is pretty decent writing but what I didn't like was that book 3 seems to have vanished into thin air.
Battle of the sexes between the unrelenting and controlling billionaire and a young journalist seeking to uncover his secrets. This is a serial novella. I am curious as to how this story will develop as the installments continue. So far, this is interesting reading, with an erotic touch.
