Whoever wished they could live the life of royalty deserved a punch in the face.
Meet Park Sparrow, a feisty, sarcastic, and reckless outcast who's just a small-town girl, living in a lonely world. With an attitude and personality that gets her in more trouble than anything, she's a wild splash of color in the otherwise monotone and regal life of the academy she attends.
But there's more than meets the eye. Park isn't a random nobody in a town only famous for a school. Park Sparrow is the princess of Cimeria, and heir to one of the last remaining monarchies in the entire world. Unluckily for her, being an heir also means having a target painted on her back day and night.
Park is determined to find out who's behind the attempts on her life. With the unlikely help of Logan Cross, a boy she's hated since the dawn of time, the two must learn how to put aside their differences and get along because Park is in grave danger.
As they work together to put together the mystery of who wants Park's throne, they must face new complications and obstacles that will be much more difficult than just a school yard grudge.
** This story is NOT edited. This is the original version of I'll Protect You (2013-2014)**
I don't understand how this book isn't published & bashing itself in the lime light. It deserves to be on the shelves of every bookstore in the U.S
Alight. Why am I giving this book such high ratings? For one. It's simply amazing. Since the author has 2 version of this book, the 2nd version is simply fantastic. Re-writing the story so that everything fits perfectly to its plot.
The characters have more interaction with each other. Not only does the author create a different vibe for each of her characters, she brings them to life in such wonderful (might I say crazy humorous) ways.
The chemistry between the main character & the rest of the cast is beautiful. The romance is fantastically well done (others say it's cheesy, but I dig it). Park is a badass princess, with a TON of sass, and A LOT of sarcasm. Not to mention that she has of things on her hands, yet she manages to hold her head high & fight on.
The amazing thing is that the author, manages to bring other characters to life as well, not just the main protagonists. The antagonist had a vibe to them, the supporting characters felt just as important as the rest of the cast.
Aside from that, the humor. Oh my god, the way the author uses references from famous novels, songs, and tv shows, kills me. It was just so well done that I simply cannot put it into words. Simply fantastic!
This book made me cry, made me warm on the inside, made me EXTREMELY happy ( if I had a dollar for every time this book made be double over laughing, I would be a billionaire). Most importantly, it had taught me wonderful lessons. Have courage, have faith, have trust, believe in yourself and everything will work out.
Fantastic book. I can't wait for the sequel
Side notes: ALEC IS MY BAE OMG PARK & LOGAN ARE OTP AF!! ARCHER ELIJAH MINNIE ZEN SOPHIA THE UNHOLY TRINITY AND EVERYONE ELSE I LOVE SO MUCH!! Where can I order them ????!!
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE the backstory, the characters, everything. If this was published, I'd buy it. I don't care if it's a hardcover that costs a fortune, I will.
It's long, but not boring. Some people may find...57? It was 57 chaps right? There was just so much going on that I kept going without realizing how long it was.
Love the sparrows, including their adopted brother.
Only thing I don't get is Sophia's backstory. Don't get me wrong, she was entertaining and necessary to the story, but her, erm, dark childhood didn't really add to the story. Her story, perfect. Her BACKstory, unnecessary.
I was just messing around in goodreads when I found this book from Wattpad. HA. Dare I ask, is it the older version? This book is funny, witty, sarcastic, intelligent and mysterious. Love it with all my might. You're an awesome writer knee(nghee). ;)
Honestly this book is so exceptionally amazing. The writing, the humor, the imagery, the plot and everything. The author is good with imagery like you could see whatever the author is describing. The characters, they’re are amazing, they are relatable, the character development is extraordinary and is very evident. The characters were very like-able, their humor and everything, their personalities, they’re all different but it made me fall in-love all of them, for real.
The plot is fascinating, marvelous, and shocking! There weren’t any plot holes. You can see the author really gave the idea of the story and everything. It’s perfectly well written. Plot twists, the protagonists, the antagonists they all connect to each other in an impressive way.
Other than the writing and the plot, it really has good humor, with sarcasm and sassiness. It’s all about the friendships, love, family, royalties and the threats of this dangerous world.
This book is really good, I sound like I may be exaggerating, but I really love this book and this book is totally a recommended for me! :)
I stumbled across this story again after YEARS of not reading. I don’t know how my brain could forget the lovable characters- gods, I am especially attached to Park and Alec- the thrilling adventures, and the quick wit banter. This was one of my favorite books growing up, and it truly did hold up. So amazing so good, I am so grateful to have somehow forgotten it’s existence because I was able to feel the surprises and emotions from like my first time reading it.
I'm confident I've read this book more than 10 times. One of my comfort reads and I know that no matter what mood I'm in this book will always make me fall in love with adventure, reading and life all over again.
ive been in a slump so ive resorted to rereading my wattpad faves and this was the very first book tween addy picked up in the orange app. I loved this then and i love it still now <3
I think this was an interesting book because the plot is interesting and engaging, as well as unique. It has a perfect balance of a kind of disney channel-y plot with riviting and funny action scenes, as well as Logan and Park's love for each other. Of course it is still in the editing stages and therefore there are definitly things to be changed in terms of spelling and grammar. Finally, the one criticism in terms of the plot is that I would except Park's childhood "accident" to be a bit more dramatic, not just a household mistake by a stubborn little girl. Maybe the girl gave away her identity and she was taken? It just seems that for the amount and magnitude of stressful situations she has, the one that would be most psychologically challenging for her would be the worst situation of them all, but yes I do take into account that at the time of the accident she was only six or seven. I went to go read this again but I could only find the new version on watt pad! Is there another place I can find it?

This started out really strong, like two chapters in I was completely hooked, heck I thought it was going to be my first five star book this year but by the fifty first chapter (aka the last chapter) I felt like it was was just too laggy, too predictable, and all of the big shockers? (They weren't that shocking.) Anyway all around it wasn't a bad book, just wayyyyy too long.
I loved the book I really loved the way he always needed to protect her and the way the two of them hated each author and the hatred tern it love ♡♡♡ amazing and so funny really I loved the book I would read it all over again I wish there was a movie it would be awesome ★★★
4 Stars I absolutely loved this book even though it was written by a amateur and there was some misspelled words and stuff like that. You can only get it on Wattpad.com but you can sign up for free and this book is worth it.
The plot of this book is insanely gripping start to finish. It reads like a published book and every single male character is brilliant. I’ve never read something that’s made me laugh so much and the humour and sarcasm is much like my own.
Another amazing book! The first one I've read being introduced to the site, my friend had recommended it to me and I got pulled in by the cover, loved it, she's an incredible writer!
