Stephen walked away from love when a 100 years of ranching was on the line. Underneath a glib exterior, the second eldest of the hardcore McLemore brothers is private, cutthroat, and controlling. Years of sacrifice have taken a toll, but he never forgot the girl of his dreams.

A stormy reunion brings Jillian mouth-to-mouth with the cowboy who broke her heart. Lip-locked and up against Stephen's hard body rekindles more than a spark. But Jillian refuses to give into temptation and informs McLemore (and herself), she's moved on. As a dance studio owner, Jill found her footing.

Entangled within the town gossip mill and family drama, Stephen and Jillian's verbal sparring turns up the heat. After a round of dirty dancing, their mutual attraction fully ignites.

In the midst of rediscovering how sweet love tastes, life throws a curveball into Stephen's plans. Hollywood comes knocking on Jillian's door with an offer to star in a reality TV dance show. Her once in a lifetime opportunity might be this bad boy's undoing. Called to be the man she needs, Stephen makes the ultimate sacrifice and it cuts deep.

In a whirlwind, Jillian must decide if all that glitters is gold. Is fame what she hungers for when a Harley-riding rancher has all the right moves?

Humor infused, Her Forever Cowboy is a poignant second-chance love story that explores the depth of forgiveness and sacrifice, loyalty and trust.

3.5 Cowboy with some Harley and Hot Happenings Stars

A quick smokin' hot read... lots of lead up to said hot happenings.
Did I say there were hot happenings... oh, yes I did.. I am repeating myself... and so did the main characters.

Well... once the two of them got together... Oh My Goodness.... the both of them really could not stop
ahmmm happening...

Yes, there was a story; addressed drug abuse, lost dreams, family obligations and real emotions.

I enjoyed my time.. did skip a little bit towards the end due to the conflict... wasn't feeling it..
but in the end everything was resolved with .... you guessed it....
Really hot happenings and an HEA.

Two very different worlds collide the moment Gillian meets Stephen.

She is a small town dance studio owner who is dealing with some family issues and isn't looking to get involved with anyone. And when it comes to men and sex she isn't very experienced with either.

Whereas Stephen comes with lots of baggage. The type of baggage you pick up one night in a bar and leave early the next morning without wanting to have breakfast or chat. Love them and leave them is his style.

So having said that imagine what happens when Gillian wakes up one morning only to find Stephen handcuffed to her headboard. She doesn't scream, yell, or freak out strangely she finds herself very attracted to this hunk of a man and cannot take her eyes off him although he keeps telling her to do so.

The attraction between the two is instantaneous and it will take your breath away as you can feel the depth of their desire, the raw passionate need to have skin against skin and to not let go.

Hot, steamy, passionate, loving, romantic and did I mention hot?

Sit back and watch the characters unfold before your eyes as they both try to break out of their pasts leaving them open for a new start, a second chance for them both. Challenges come up and decisions have to be made. Will they make it? Be together in the end? You will want to read this book and see where their journey takes them.

A well earned five stars from a very talented author. A true "must read".

3-3.5 stars

This was a good story. I liked Gillian and Stephen and liked seeing them get together. This is the first story I've read by this author and it was good enough that I'll consider trying more of her work in the future.

Gillian is a dancer that owns her own dance studio. She loves teaching dance and living in her hometown so she never went off to the city to try to make a go of her dancing. Gillian's parents died but she's still very close with her grandparents and her brother (who she's roommates with).

Stephen is part owner of the family ranch with his brothers. His future on the ranch has always been set out for him and there wasn't much opportunity to change his fate. Stephen got his heart broken years before and since then has lived the life of a man-whore, drinking and screwing around with women that mean nothing to him.

Stephen wakes up in a strange bed and doesn't remember how he got there. He looks around and realizes he's in the bed with Lori, a woman he sleep with occasionally. As he's trying to extract himself he realizes that there's another woman in the bed, a redhead he doesn't recognize...at least at first. The woman ends up being his friends younger sister who he hasn't seen in years. Gillian is now all grown up and looking hot and hell and Stephen wants her even though he knows he shouldn't. They share a brief kiss before parting ways but that one kiss changes everything for them. Stephen knows he shouldn't pursue Gillian but he can't get her out of his mind. He can't help but want her and can't stand to think of another man going after her. Gillian is attracted to Stephen and wants him but also knows he's a man-whore and she's likely just to get herself hurt if she does anything with Stephen.

To be honest, the blurb kind of goers over most of the story. Most of the story deals with Gillian trying to figure out if she can trust Stephen and whether they have something or not. Stephen isn't sure what he's feeling but he's suddenly obsessed with Gillian and can't help these possessive and protective feelings that are growing within him for her. There's some back and forth as they begin to see each other and they're limited by the fact that they both are trying not to push things so they try to go with the flow and it just stresses them both out about their relationship and where it's going. Of course, there's the dance contest that coming up to deal with and there's also some issues with Gillian's brother that make things more difficult as well. Overall I liked seeing Stephen and Gillian get together but it was complicated by a short timeline, a lack of communication and external influences that seem to be there just to cause trouble for the couple. Thankfully, things work out in the end and Stephen and Gillian get set to start their HEA together.

Overall this was an enjoyable story. I found both Gillian and Stephen to be likable characters and I was happy to see them get together. The story wasn't perfect and frustrated me at times but things worked out well and I ended the story satisfied. I may go back and read book #1 in the series as I have it and am kind of curious. :)

Say 'Hello' to Stephen McLemore. This dirty-talkin' cowboy will melt your heart.

This bad boys is out to prove that love tastes sweeter the second time around.

Smoke and mirrors. With a hundred years of ranching on the line, Stephen McLemore dove into his career as an explosives engineer. After achieving wealth, power, prestige, he’s ready to make his move. He walked away from love, but he never forgot the girl of his dreams.

At the time, Jillian Sinclair was 16, a hot mess, and hands-off. Eight years later, is it coincidence or a case of meticulous plotting that brings Jillian face-to-face with the boy who kissed her and left? It might not matter. She’s grown up, ticked-off, and prepared to settle a score.

In tandem, they’re flint and gasoline. Within a family crisis, Stephen and Jillian are powerless to fight their raw desire.

From a smolder, their intense attraction combusts. They can’t deny that love tastes sweeter the second time. But life throws a curve ball into Stephen’s goals. Hollywood comes knocking on Jillian’s door with an offer to star in a reality dance TV show.

Be careful what you wish for…
There’s a very secret, private, and controlling side of the second eldest of the hardcore cattle ranching brothers from Evermore. How far will Stephen go?

The ultimate sacrifice cuts deep.
Jillian’s once in a lifetime opportunity might be this cowboy’s undoing.

A raw passionate, second chance love story that explores the depth of forgiveness and sacrifice, loyalty and trust.

What Worked For Me:
This was a hot, fun, quick read. Stephen, our hero, is a complete man-whore reformed by our lovely and sweet dance instructor Gillian. He was raunchy and dirty and completely swoon-worthy when he got down to business. We get to see his tender side when he takes care of a puppy and his kick-ass side when he takes on Gillian’s brother and I loved every facet of his character. Gillian is strong and independent and innocent until Stephen gets his hands on her, literally and figuratively. She has hidden depths and one or two well placed surprises and she keeps Stephen on his toes. There is also family drama, slutty friends, meddling grandparents, and some Hollywood moments. There weren’t a whole lot of angsty moments, which worked out well and I love watching a bad-boy fall in love with the good girl, especially when this particular bad boy did it so well. I was entertained from beginning to end.

What Didn’t Work For Me:
Stephen went from man-whore to committed man overnight…was a little too pat but it didn’t detract from the believability of the story too much.

Gillian couldn't take her eyes off Stephen McLemore turning up buck naked in her room. Gillians is younger and has known Stephen as her brothers friend. Being in a small town everyone knows everything about everyone. But Gillian, she winds up breaking the one wild stallion of the town in this sexy hot and sinfully sweet story of her and Stephen. "You know what they say about Evermore Ranch dues.....Evermore the lover, evermore the pleasure." And this book does not disappoint!!! "This time I'm going to rock both our worlds"

Sexy, Sinful, and Sweet.....Stephen! <3

A must read for all Arden fans and those looking for something to take the chill off, cuz this book is HOT!!!

WOW, what a wild ride this book was. It's sexy, seductive, and very addictive. I was lured in right from the beginning. The characters are so real I feel as if I am watching a movie come to life. The details and plot of the story is phenomenal. I haven't read the first two books in this series but I find that this book can easily stand alone. It's a fabulous MUST read that will capture your heart and reel you in til the end. Thank you, Susan Arden, for the chance to read and fall in love with your stories.

Wow! What can I say this book is awesome. It's about a guy ( Stephen) who is a known ladies man who sees his friends little sister in a whole new light and she sets him on fire. Overcoming his reputation is difficult but somehow they deal with it. She (Gillian) knows Stephens reputation but decides if someone's going to teach her about passion it may as well be someone with experience what neither expected was their passion to become more. This is a must read. Susan had done it again.

I absolutely loved the ending!!! I'm trying not to spoil anything, but the last 25% of the book REALLY hooked me. The story was full of HOT love scenes, and Susan did an excellent job showing the growth and evolution of feelings between Gillian and Stephen. Besides, who doesn't love a story about a wild cowboy who is finally tamed?!

A winner

Stephen is my sexy new hero. Loved his character, dominating flaws and all. His all encompassing love for Jillian to the point where he has controlled a big part of her life is beyond my comprehension. His love for her has taken control of his life and by extention, hers ..

Okay read

Was an okay read but it went back and forwards a lot. At one point I was confused as to why the relationship was being pursued. Equally the point about the hash in the brownies and why our hero took it knowing g it was a red herring for work.

To long cowboy

Unbelievable cowboy western. While this would have been an interesting read it was way too long and fractured. Not recommended.

The Cowboy Rode A Harley (Bad Boys Don't Drink the Water #3) by Susan Arden

Jane Hunt Writer First Steps

The third in this erotic western series 'The Cowboy Rode a Harley is the most risqué; sparkling romance is interwoven with erotic love scenes which make this a hot and steamy read.

Stephen likes to play hard whether it be with women, alcohol or gambling. Until he meets Gillian the kid sister of Haden, an old friend whose life is spiralling out of control as he falls into the clutches of addiction.

Stephen and Gillian wake up in the same bed but Stephen soon finds that Gillian is too innocent for his jaded palate. He tries to back away but can't forget the feisty red haired woman. To keep his sanity he must accept the inevitability of their tempestuous love affair.

The erotic love scenes are explicit and as their relationship develops Stephen realises Gillian's innocence hides a wild and naughty nature which he reverently explores in great detail.

The story is about self-realisation. Is Gillian's long held dream really what she wants? Can Stephen settle for just one woman?
The story's conflict makes this a worthwhile read and it culminates in a make or break moment which threatens to destroy both their lives.

The ending is beautifully written.

If you like your romance erotic and naughty then 'The Cowboy Rode a Harley' is definitely for you.

If you haven't read 'Tempted by Trouble' and 'Twice Tempted' don't miss out read them too.

An Awesome Book!

I really enjoyed reading The Cowboy Rode a Harley (Bad Boys Book 3), all about Stephen McLemore the cowboy who only ever does friend w/benefits & Gillian Sinclair his friend Hayden's baby sister. It seems Stephen tied a big one on last night and he ended up in a canopied bed with a frilly topper and not one but two females fully clothed in this bed, and him handcuffed to the bed with a pink fuzzy cuff. He still had no idea what had happened last night, but he knew he had a whopping headache and needed to get to the ranch. He reached across the bed and grabbed the key off the nightstand and quickly unhooked himself from the bed. Jumped up and grabbed his clothes, while doing so he woke the girl in the far left and couldn't help but stare at Gillian Sinclair his friends baby sister, boy has she grown. The author wrote a very interesting story, and the characters brought the story to life. It's about to very unlikely people who get together and nearly combust with all the, lust oozing out of each of them. Read this book it will make you laugh, cry, sigh, shake your head and cum up a storm! It's an amazing story about a friend's kid sister, who has the ability to bring Stephen to his knees, literally. I hope you enjoy reading this book and this series. I've read book one, two & three and each one is sizzling hot and they keep getting better. I can't wit to reed book 4.

Technically well written and edited, but stylistically, as with book 2, this book is still over-the-top cheesy. It's better than book 2, but still implausible and the dialog doesn't sound natural at all.

There's heat, and the potential of sizzle, but the wacky dialog prevents the sex scenes from actually being hot because you're too busy rolling your eyes at the way they talk to each other.

If you're looking for a more graphic version of the traditional Harlequin romance, this book's for you.
