This manhwa seems slow pace, yet in the following few chapters amongst other things ... The Sung-Dong High School's water polo team plays it's first game. There are lessons to learn for everyone. Sugu is starting to have doubts regarding his Ji-Yu vs swimsuit obsession. One moment the team seems to gain is pace, just to almost brake down a second later ... over and over. Ji-yu's good for nothing ex-boyfriend wants back what was his. Sugu doesn't shine on the midterm exams. There's a foreshadowing, eyes-opening split-screen chapter,... and the National High School Water Polo Competition is on the doors.
P.S.
I have a theory regarding the little kid on the bench by the stream (I'll admit I thought it was the Han river initially ... I'm probably watching way too much K- drama).
The polo team have their first friendly match with a team from a rival high-school in the works, but it's more important than they know. Bae is forced by the dean to get a victory in the game if he wants to keep the team.
Sugu and Jiyu get closer too, but Sugu's grades fall even lower because of the time he spends training. His father is angry about it, but Sugu is unable to communicate his feelings properly.
More hits come for the team when Jina quits because her mother wants her to focus on her studies even in the summer holiday.
Jiyu's make-believe boyfriend comes back into the picture and now he wants her. He also knows about Sugu's secret.
This book was a really refreshing story. It had a lot of inner conflict in the main character which was super deep yet at the author would throw in the funniest scenes.
