“The only purpose of my existence is to make people happy.”
I’ve said it already but I’ll say it again, this book is so different to anything I have read before. I just loved every moment reading it and learning about the realities of happiness and where it comes from. Everyone seeks happiness no matter if it’s something small or something big, happiness can change how you live and I adored reading about it.
I loved all the different characters in this book, I loved all their personalities, beliefs and flaws. I find Julia always knows how to write a character and it is always exciting when we get to meet someone new in the books. I loved how the characters interacted with others and connected with them on an emotional level because I could very much understand their sides of the story.
Additionally to the characters, so many great quotes can be found in this book. And it truly was amazing how many quotes I could personally relate to, making some of my own problems and insecurities more normal in some way. I loved the originality as well of Ireland myths and history. What a great and unique take on the celebration day of St Patrick’s Day.
Without giving away any spoilers I loved the main plot line and how everything happened so quickly yet it didn’t feel like just 4 days had passed for the characters. I also LOVED the ending because there could have been multiple endings to this story and yet the perfect ending was chosen to finish off the story uniquely.
