Phelan has been on Aisley’s trail ever since she walked away from him and the scorching kiss they shared two months ago in the middle of a nightclub. He didn’t expect her to run. After all, women don’t run from Phelan. They beg to tangle his sheets. So, it surprises him even more that he can’t let this one go and that she haunts his dreams, leaving him panting for more. So when he finally finds and confronts her, all he can think about is pleasure—hers and his. He does not realize that he is being pulled into a plot that he does not fully understand. All Phelan knows is that he cannot walk away from Aisley. She is his.

Donna grant is one of those authors that I don’t even read what one of her books are about I just buy it they are all so great! Midnight’s Temptation was another awesome installment of the Dark Warriors series. I wanted Phelan’s story as soon as we were introduced to his character in Highlander Untamed. I was not let down! Such a fantastic read! It grabs you from the start and doesn’t let go! Phelan for the most part of his life has been a loner and a ladies man. Traveling the world and making up for all the time he was held captive in Deidra’s Mountain. Also Struggling with his hatred of Droughs(Evil Druids). Which he has let run his life. He sets himself apart from the other warriors, but he wonders what it would be like to be apart of a family. At the end of Midnight’s Captive Phelan and Aisley share a scorching kiss and he can’t let her go but she runs from him. Which leaves him stunned because women do not run from him. He is drawn to her and her magic is like none he has ever felt. He will catch her. Aisley is running for her life. She left her evil cousin Jason Wallace for dead and now he wants revenge. There is also a warrior she just knows is going to kill her but then to her surprise he kisses her instead. Aisley wants desperately to make up for her past mistakes. Things are not always what they seem but when Phelan finds out that she is the one thing he has sworn his life to killing, a drough. Will their new-found love hold strong. You will delve deeper into the Warrior’s fight against evil. Just when they think they won it only gets worse. Also some new characters are introduced and you will see more of the Dragon Kings! This was one heart breaking love story! You will be on the edge of your seat and crying at the same time! Keep a box of tissues ready because you will need them! I received and ARC for an honest review. Reviewed by Kristin
Phelan is one of the warriors that I personally do not know too much about. He is one of the warriors that has kept himself apart from the warriors of MacLeod Castle. The ways that he was brought to be with his primeval god were far from pleasant and he is still struggling with his hate for the person responsible. At the end of Midnight’s Captive Phelan kisses a woman. This is a woman that after that kiss he realizes that he must have more and the chase is on!
Aisley knows that she is being pursued by a warrior. She believes that he is chasing her to kill her. The kiss alone was nearly enough to do her in, but she knows that it can never happen again. Warriors and droughs are mortal enemies. There can only be one reason he is still chasing her after two months, he must want to kill her. That time has allowed her to get good at running, always staying a couple of steps ahead of him. She can’t let Phelan catch her no matter how much she wants him to do just that.
I must point out that this serial installment in Donna Grant’s Dark Warriors series starts off HOT! She kicks up the heat from the very first page. Phelan and Aisley are going to have one hot book. Phelan is not the only thing Aisley is running from. This works well for something that Phelan and the other warriors are looking for. I’m eager to see how that plays out in the next part of Midnight’s Temptation. It’s going to be awesome considering how the first started and the direction it is going.
It's been awhile, but this isn't the first story I've read in this series, and I still love the dangerous and exciting world that Donna Grants has fashioned. Who can complain about sexy, virile, Highlanders who have mysterious Gods lurking just under their skin giving them the most ferocious skills and powers to protect the world and especially their mates. Of course, they aren't just given any mate, but females who have their own special talents and abilities since they are all descendants of that magical race we call Druids. Needless to say, the reader is in for quite a ride, and one that tantalizes all the senses! A solid 4-star rating, only missing the 4.5 mark because it ends rather awkwardly. It was, literally, like being cut-off in the middle of a sentence. I know the story continues in the next part, but it's no excuse to rudely walk out on your audience especially after just climaxing : - }
WOW!! Donna started Midnight's Temptation part 1 off on a very HOT note!! I loved where part one lead us! We saw most of our favorite warriors and druids appear and learned more about what their feelings are on the spell to bind the Gods. I loved learning a whole different side of Phelan that no one would have suspected. I am really liking Aisley and look forward to where her story takes us! I am so excited for the other three parts of MT and cannot wait to learn more about Phelan and Aisley's story! Thank you Donna!
On my goodness! So this is definitely a different side to Phelan that we have not before been privileged to! Donna told me on her Facebook wall a few months ago that I should hold out for Phelan.... And boy was she right! This is one surprising warrior! I'm very curious as to why he can't feel her drough magic however.... Oh.... And is that who I fear it is there at the end? We shall see I guess.... onward to part two!
