About this series: Normally this is the spot where I write what inspired the story or the series you see above, and usually it’s a tale about a person I knew or heard about, or a dream I had … but this time, nope. Not at all. This entire series was inspired by the cover model on Rebel, Book 1 in the Rebel Wheels series. I saw his photos on a website, and a little voice inside my head said, “Ooo la laaaa,” and the story just came to me from there. I know. Man candy. What can I say? I’m addicted.

I didn't really care for the heroine, Quinlan....at all!
Seriously
She was SO annoying. The over-the-top cussing...her financial brilliance...the constant indecision.
I didn't feel the connection at all between Quin and the hero Mick, aka Hellion. I mean they spend the majority of the book not even friends. I don't even recall an ounce of sexual tension between those two.
I felt more of a connection between Quin and Colin....which was just as odd as Quin and Mick.
And then all of a sudden
We're
I suppose there were a few LOL moments but at other times the story really seemed to drag
I pretty much skimmed the last 35-40%.
At this point..
I'm sure I'll still read Trouble to conclude the series. But Alissa and Colin
Me No Likey!
I'm just hoping we get more. More character development. More depth. More sexual tension. More story. Just more. And a better heroine...PLEASE. Title: Hellion Series: Rebel #2 Release Date: November 31st, 2013 Rating: 3.5 stars Cliffhanger: No HEA:
I absolutely adored Rebel, first book in this series. I loved everything Elle Casey wrote in that book. From sweet and incredible romance story to laughing my ass of moments, Rebel was a five star read for me. I was enchanted and hooked. I hoped Hellion will be off the charts amazing too.
But unfortunately, I didn’t love it as much as previous Elle Casey’s novel. Yes, I didn’t hate it nor did not Iike it, but some things were definitely missing. It was not as funny (but still had some pretty badass scenes), it had a frustrating heroine and relationship between Mick and Quin was progressing too quickly.
I adored Jersey. He was the brightest star of this novel. For me, he really did steal the show. He’s the youngest of Quin’s siblings and had many ‘problems’, yet he was so innocent, so freakin’ adorable, I wanted to hug the life out of him. Every scene that involved him was hilarious, cute and so divine. I loved that moments.
What left me unsatisfied was Quin and Mick’s relationship. I didn’t get them together. Yes, they definitely had chemistry and made a great couple, but I felt like something between them was missing, like there was no depth to theirs relationship at all. I actually sensed that there is more between Quinlan and Colin, than her and Mick.
I certainly need to know more about ‘Trouble’ Colin. He caught my attention and I’m very much so rooting for his story. The only thing that worries me the future novels is Alissa. I don’t like her very much.
Overall, as much as entertaining Hellion had been, it just didn't have the same pull to keep me going as Rebel. I was having fun, and laughed many times, but yet , I wasn't completely lost in the story, nor did I was immersed in it. I truly did hope for more. Still, I can’t say that I regret picking it up. I had a blast and would recommend it to all fans of sweet, funny and cute stories.
Book - Hellion (Rebel #2) Author - Elle Casey Publication Date - November 30, 2013 Type - Stand Alone Series Genre - Romance, New Adult Rating - 3 out of 5 Stars
Review Ummm....to be perfectly honest - I ABSOLUTELY was FRUSTRATED with the heroine in this book - Quinlan....yeah she was pretty funny in the first book but just plain annoying in the second book. I laughed my ass off in the first book and yeah, I laughed a few times in this one too...but I think it too over the top with the humor and would have liked to have more character development mixed in.
I wanted to smack that bitch up - not only for how she treated everyone around her, but especially the disregard she had for other people's feelings. The only redeeming qualities that Quin had was the devotion to her brother and her ability to help Teagan.
I liked Mick in this book and thought he did a stand up job dealing with Quin and her family. I fell in LOVE with Colin in this story and can't wait for his story next.
There really isn't much of a story line here - this book mainly centers around Quin and her attraction to Mick while trying to keep it a secret by being atrociously mean to him.
Wrap Up Not as funny as the first book - very annoying heroine - likable hero - not much plot involved.
I will still read the next book in this series because I think that Colin has the potential to make the story HOT!
You know... the men in this series are absolutely AWESOME it's the woman who are funking idiotic. They act like 12 year old immature brats albeit dealing with some pretty heavy crap.
Quin/Quinlan I wanted to strangle, her language, her inability to make up her mind. Her interactions (outside of her being an OUTSTANDING Financial Student and her love for her brother Jersey)ruined this book for me.
Interested to see how the book with Colin/Alissa is going to go. Please, please, please Elle Casey make her more tolerable.
I'm not actually too sure what to say about this one.......
Now I didn't actually mind book 1, I didn't OMG love it, but it was a very slow starting but pretty easy read, the perfect way to spend a slow Sunday- I rated it 3.5 stars.
Now this book is set in Quin's point of view, a story that is supposed to revolve around Mick- AKA- Hellion.
This is where lies the problem- This book just felt like part 2 of Teagan's story, this story just revolved around Teagan's legal issues regarding her Father and her Step-Mother. And about the fact that Quin has been able to suss out the spreadsheets.
I really did feel that there was little storyline, I kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting for Quin and Mick to get together and before I knew it I was 70% into the book!
I actually ended up disliking one of the things I liked most about book 1- Teagan- Quin was there for her throughout everything in book 1 but when Quin needed anything or anyone Teagan was a shitty friend to her and actually came across as quite a selfish bitch.
There was also a mixed bag of humour. I loved Quin in book 1, she was a fab friend, gave out fantastic advice and came out with some one liners that had me giggling and sometimes howling with laughter. This book tries to re-create that humour. And some of it worked but most of it didn't. I was just sat there thinking the author was just trying too hard to make me laugh.
Especially when it came to her brother. He was mentally handicapped and the author tried many times to make it funny....but I just found it quite sad. I get that he needed help with things but Quin was just teaching him its OK to call people liars and assholes- this girl is going on about how she wants to get custody of her brother but she cant even look after herself!
As for Mick- He seemed OK, but that's about it. I didn't feel any connection to him. I also don't get why he is called Hellion? He was in a relationship for a year and now he's chasing Quin......not exactly Hellion behaviour.
So now its the end of book 2 and we're now waiting on book 3, which is supposed to be Colin's story- I think he's gonna get it on with the pregnant Alisha that they introduced in this book.
But I'm guessing instead of reading Colin's story like we expect we'll be reading a lot about Teagans story.....
Something about these guys at Rebel Wheels … they have superpowers where women are concerned. Damn them and their stupid beautiful faces.
First, this book has a horrible cover. HORRIBLE. That guy is no panty melter on his best day. Gah! I almost couldn't read the book. I hate that it stares at me from my Kindle account.
That being said, I LOVE Hellion. He was the best of dom, joker, playboy, and jealous lovers combined. No wonder they call him Hellion. I have no idea how he isn't the girl magnet among his brothers.
In this book we saw a continuation of Teagan's storyline from Rebel, and still no resolution. But the additional storyline of Quin's family was endearing. I loved them. Especially Jersey.
Hopefully Trouble will be just as good.
REBEL, COLIN, AND MICK ARE all standing outside waiting for Teagan’s arrival. As soon as she sees that wall of gorgeously muscled badassery, she starts crying all over again. I can’t help but be a little stunned by the picture they make myself. Get in my panties, boys. Holy, holy.
I extremely disliked the heroine but I can never hate her because she made me crackling a lot. The hero is nice and charming and honestly, Quin just don't deserve Mike. Their romance was dull, no sparks whatsoever. The only reason I was willing to put through with Hellion is because I needed to know what happened to Teagan's dad. Now that the truth is slowly unraveled, I need to read next book and I hope by then, I get the answers, the closure I want.
Eeps. I loved rebel, but this one didn't do it for me. Quin was exceedingly immature, and Mick had little to no personality. I'm not sure they had two conversations in the book that didn't involve Quin overreacting and acting like a 12-year-old. The scenes with Jersey were adorable, but that was about the best part of the book. That all being said, I will totally still be buying every book that Elle Casey writes, and I look forward to her next release, Trouble.
I'm going with Stuart Reardon as my flirtatious bad boy. Then again, I'd go to him for anything.
The heroines in this series put on a tough snarky exterior to protect themselves. The humor here is very self-deprecating. "I'm an asshole."
This kind of humor is risky, cuz sometimes people start to believe you are an asshole.
Luckily our RW boys see thru to the sweet, they get it.
I lik-it. It's different and funny and subtle. The guys are personable, yet tough and hot, and so sweetly quietly vulnerable.
I loved that the Colin thing here wasn't obvious. The reader is left to figure him out, and sort of fall for him too, at the same time as Mick. And of course, we're all already gone for Rebel.
REBEL, COLIN , AND MICK ARE all standing outside waiting for Teagan’s arrival. As soon as she sees that wall of gorgeously muscled badassery, she starts crying all over again. I can’t help but be a little stunned by the picture they make myself. Get in my panties, boys. Holy, holy.
This is interesting: clench = 0 occurrences, yep zero! eyebrow = 55 occurrences. Hmmmm....
another great book from Elle Casey. I an glad that I know her writing and I stuck with the series. I say that because I noticed on other reviews, some of you were skeptical. She is amazing. every book of hers that I have read contain so much humor. You really feel like you are there in the book with them. loved reading about Mick and Quin. They were frustrating at times, but most people are. I love how they always had the love/hate relationship. they were both scared, they didn't want to commit. I cannot wait until Trouble. I'll be honest though, I'm going to be sad after I read that because that means it's over. Teagan and Rebel are in this book as well. she isn't leaving you hanging. The story continues in i ne month. I'm ready.
Full of humour these two girls crack me up with their lingo and smart whitt.
Like the last book its not as hot as I would of liked but it certainly keeps you on your toes in other ways.
Good read with the girly sass & drama, Those three boys at the Rebel garage don't know what's hit them and now another friend has joined the happy 5 some so I'm sure the next book will be just as good and it looks like Colin is next :-)
I actually enjoy how the male characters are written, but the women in these books are awful. They're insecure, jealous, over reactive crazy people. Super hot and cold. And none of their thoughts are justified or backed up in any way. Obviously, some of this is to be expected in a book like this, but it was just too much for me. I expect the characters in the next book might be even worse, so I don't think I'll read the last in the series.
I'm hoping the next book is better than this. I was very disappointed. I felt zero chemistry between Quinn and Mick, and nothing happened between them--other than him chasing her and her being a total bitch--until almost 90% in. I'm going to continue because I really want to see the drama about the dad's company resolved (still from the first book), but I'm starting out skimming.
I started out enjoying this book just as much as I enjoyed Rebel, however upon reaching the halfway mark I became bored of the pace.
I found it dragging in parts and I think the follow up of what happens to Teagan's fathers business mixed in with what goes on between Mick and Quin was a bit much to read about together. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either
Not as good as the first one. My issues were with the heroine. Although I liked her in the first book in this one she was annoying. But that wont stop me to read the next book. I like this author and her style and I cannot wait for more.
Quin’s character makes me laugh and want to smack her all at once. She was loud and has no filter on her mouth which was fun but irritating at times. She is such a good, loyal friend to Tegan and loves her family dearly but was totally insensitive to everyone. She also is extremely smart and a total ditz all in one. Her characters flaws were part of the books appeal to me.
Mick is Rebel’s sexy, chattier, playful younger brother. Mick is sensitive and too quick to apologize for anything that upsets Quin and is relentless in his pursuit of Quin. He is a total sweetheart. I really liked Mick and wish he was given a better HEA.
Until the final chapters, I really liked this book. The back and forth was mostly fun to read although, Mick doesn't really do anything to deserve Quin’s whip-lashing mood changes. I could not get on board with them barely deciding to give their relationship a shot then deciding to move in together after she finds out he was with someone else until a few weeks before. I felt like they were just starting to connect as a couple.
I read book one, and thought it was so well written, that I was willing to pay to read the second book. But as much as I liked the characters and plot in book one, just as much did I hate the characters in book two. It is about a complete bimbo with a mood that swings with the speed and amplitude as only a caricature teenage girl PMS'ing. You might be able to read it as a humorous book, but for me it was just stupid.
I usually finish books, but having forced myself to keep reading until the half way point, I had to give up, as every time I continued, I ended up in a new extremely stupid scene making me wish I hadn't. Oh what I wouldn't do get be able to put a gag on the main character and force her to think. The premisses of the book had the potential to being good with her economic talents, her difficult family situation and a continuation of the plot from book one. But man was that killed.
Based on book one the author has obviously talent for writing, so I will consider reading more, if I get over my great irritation of having wasted time on this one.
Hellion by Elle Casey is book #2 in the Rebel series.
Hmmm this is Quinn and Mick aka Hellions book, I was super excited to read this book because I LOVED Rebel the first book in this series.
The problem I have with this book is that I just don’t like Quinn; the best word I can use to describe her is yampy. She’s like a small yappy dog just going on and on and never shutting up!!!
I really tried to like her, I tried really hard to find her incessant yammering likeable but alas I just couldn’t!!
Now Mick I liked he’s a nice bloke who really deserves better than the nightmare that is Quinn!!
To be honest I found the on-going mystery surrounding Teagan’s father’s death and his business much more interesting than Quinn’s bullshit.
I wanted more Teagan and rebel!!!
This book wasn’t as good as I was hoping, Hellion gets 3 stars from me
Quin was a little more controversial than Teagan. Teagan made me laugh out loud so much, Quin didnt get me cracking up like she did but she still had a great sense of humor. Just a little more self absorbed and bitchy. I'm not sure i would friend her in real life but she was definitely entertaining to read about.
Mick was just drool worthy. OMG he burns me up inside. He just says and does things that really get to me. In the best way. I'd love to take him for a spin. Wine dine and sexty nine all the way, baby. He's hotter than Rebel. I didnt think that was possible.
I loved the first book, Rebel and was looking forward to Micks story but the heroine, Quinlan was SO dang annoying it was a wonder I even finished this book. I didn't feel the connection between the h and H and the chemistry was just not there nevermind sexual tension. I love Elle Casey's writing style so I'm going to read the next instalment and hope for the best. 3 stars. Stand-alone.
It was a bit disappointing. It is only 3 stars because there was a few moments that really made me laugh but otherwise the story and characters were lacking. I didn't really like the heroine, Quinlan, she was a little bit annoying and immature and there was no real connection between her and Mick, they spend most part of the book not even being friends. Hope the third book is better.
Quin didn't do it for me and Mick doesn't really seem like a hellion. It was a fast, mostly enjoyable read. It's a good book to read when you want to kill some time or not really focus on the story.
