NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR, ELLE CASEY, brings readers TROUBLE, the final installment in the New Adult Romance Series, REBEL WHEELS.
Alissa Benson used to have plans. Big ones. Important ones. But all those plans went down the drain on her twenty-first birthday, and now she's just trying to pick up the pieces and manage the fallout. Sure, there are people wanting to help. But they're pushy and suffocating and none of them can say more than ten words without cussing. And then of course there's Colin. As if life isn't complicated enough. He's the guy who couldn't stand to even look at her last week but now seems to keep popping up every time she turns around. She'd like to say she can't stand the sight of him, but that would be a lie. It doesn't matter, though. Life is too complicated for dreaming about guys like him. Alissa has a baby almost due, no job, no money, and there's nothing she hates more than being a burden. But when her past moves into her present, threatening to take away her very last shred of dignity, she's forced to reconsider everything she ever thought she knew about the world and herself.

About this series: Normally this is the spot where I write what inspired the story or the series you see above, and usually it’s a tale about a person I knew or heard about, or a dream I had … but this time, nope. Not at all. This entire series was inspired by the cover model on Rebel, Book 1 in the Rebel Wheels series. I saw his photos on a website, and a little voice inside my head said, “Ooo la laaaa,” and the story just came to me from there. I know. Man candy. What can I say? I’m addicted.

"I want Colin to be in my life, even if it’s just as my self-appointed protector. Colin the felon. Colin the fighter. Colin the one they call Trouble."
5 AIN'T-NOTHING-BETTER-THAN-TROUBLE STARS!!!!
THEN THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU!
YES I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! LET ME EVEN SPELL IT OUT!!!
This final installment of the Rebel series tells the story of Alissa and Colin. If you haven't read the first two books (but I'm pretty sure you already have), then please do so to really understand this final book.
So let's meet Alissa. Describing herself as: just a fat old pregnant girl with no future.
She mostly considers herself as someone who makes bad decisions.
After her parents practically kicked her out of their lives, she found home with the help of Teagan and Quin. She also found herself a new family together with these two batsht crazy girls, along with Rebel and Mick. Colin, however, seems to be disgusted with her.
Meet Colin. Simply described as: TROUBLE
He is known as Trouble because of the countless fights he has been in.
He helps his brother Rebel by working as a mechanic... and yeah he is a hot mechanic at that (YUM!)
He also has painting as his hobby, and is actually really good at it, even joining gallery shows from time to time.
And of course, he had the girls.
But when Alissa came into the picture, things start to change for him. Sure, Alissa may get the impression that Colin disdains her, but he'll clear it out throughout the book.
And when things start to change for him, we see Colin's sweet side.
UGHH I WAS JUST SERIOUSLY SWOONING FOR THE MOST PART!!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED ALISSA AND COLIN TOGETHER!!!
I loved the whole story and I fell in love with the characters all over again. We still get the chance to get a glimpse on the lives of Teagan, Quin, Rebel, Mick, and other characters. This was what I especially loved throughout the series.
My favorite parts:
The easy and witty banters among all the characters
The friendship among the characters
The moments that they were trying very hard not to curse!
Colin and his painting moments!! (Talk about YUMMY!)
All the potbelly and cankles drama!! And all the hormonal mood swings!!
The pregnancy pains. They were funny as heck!
All the baby movements!! They were so cute to read!!
Colin's vulnerable moments
Alissa and Colin's sweet moments
The steamy scenes!!! (Yup!)
The baby moments! Cutie patootieee!
And just EVERYTHING!!!
I absolutely loved the Rebel series!!! Thank you Ms. Elle Casey. Can't wait for your upcoming books!!!!
I'm giving this 5 stars because this is the first book in a long time that overcame a lot of obstacles for me. And any book that can successfully do that, deserves it.
1. If you read my reviews of the earlier books in this series, Rebel and Hellion, you can see that I haven't been 100% sold on this series. I hadn't been able to figure out if it was the story, or the writing, or whatever that was stopping me from telling everyone to read it. Well, this book answered the question for me. All three books in this series are 100% realistic and believable! These aren't your usual girl gets in trouble and finds a badass to rescue her while giving her amazing sex like a lot of the new NA books. The men are almost more broken than women in this series. And together the 6 characters create a family and heal each other. There are no crazy gun fights, no extreme circumstances, no daring rescue attempts. If I ran into any one of these characters and they told me their story, I wouldn't call bullshit. While it is very refreshing in this genre, unfortunately it is sometimes hard to compete with unrealistic heroes.
2. I didn't like Alissa in the earlier books. In fact I pretty much hated her. I took a break between Hellion and Trouble because I wanted to delay reading her story as long as possible. Only my OCD need to complete series caused me to actually read it. I'm really glad I did. Her character development in throughout this book was well written. Her walls didn't magically fall down after one good dick. She had to take her wall down brick by brick, and on her own. The women in each book save themselves. And while you may not like one of them, you should damn well respect them. They are better examples of actual women than most of the female characters out there.
3. This book involves rape. I hate this trend in books. It seems like books rely on rape to give the woman a tragic past to overcome, and it actually provides nothing to the story. That is not the case with Alissa. The rape aspect of the story was very well written. Her response was a natural one. And the way the author portrayed how others could be impacted was brilliant. The pain the rape brought to others did not diminish Alissa's experience at all. It wasn't used just to make her a sympathetic character. It was used to show how it can tear families apart. And how a little empathy and understanding can bring the unlikeliest of people together.
Overall this was a fantastic conclusion to the series. All of the loose ends are wrapped up nicely, with realistic expectations.
Colin's got a big heart. Too big sometimes. Colin lost his mother and sister. Colin painted the soul of his brother's girl. Colin gave yellow roses to his other brother's girl. Colin uses big words like 'sanctimonious' and 'alluring'
Colin is the most well developed character in this series. It feels like the other two books are just a prologue to Colin's story arc. I think the author fell in love with him in the first book, just like I did. And it felt so good watching him finally get someone who loved him for him, and a child. Perfect.
This book helped me realize my negative feelings about pregnancy and infertility have waned, and I can enjoy a story with a preggo in it. In fact, I can feel it. I get it. I'm part of The Motherhood now. Not to mention, I've always had a very very soft spot for adoption.
SO, I LOVED IT! The whole series really. Something about Elle Casey clicks with me, the humor, the emotion, not too much or too little. Perfect.
You … are a penis. You are a sick, diseased, full of rotten pus penis that needs to get chopped off.
I didn't really care for the main character Alissa, constantly telling people they were rude for cussing but she herself was major raging B!@#$. People trying to help her giving her a place to stay and all she does is complain and is completely rude to them. She complains she doesn't like being a burden but all she ever does is sit and pretend to read so that people don't bother her. When they offer her the chance to work she has to be coerced into doing it. It was strange how in Hellion, Colin treated Alissa like she was a disease for being pregnant then all of a sudden he's really into her. I wish they would have developed that part a little bit better. The fact that they just brushed over it when Alissa asked Colin that and he just responded that was before. This is why I wish this book had Colin's point of view as well. I think we missed a lot of this story and the potential for it to be way better. I think Colin could have had more depth to him as well. Out of all three books in this series, Rebel was my favorite.
I'm still on cloud nine. This book is such a swooner for women with kids. You go through pregnancy, childbirth and love. But there's more to this story. I felt pity for Alissa, I felt sorry for her young life, sorry for what happened with her. But with the help of the most loving man, she overcomes, deals and get over her past . Oh I teared up by that Trouble-man Colin ! An artist/mecanic, an alpha man with the heart at the right place, the words at the right moments and the way of 'dealing' with a girl's trouble as it should be done. This is a book that makes the perfect ending for this Rebel series . You go through the lifes of these 3 couples, it continues in every book. And Trouble is indeed the conclusion of it all. Everything comes to a happy ending. But to be honnest : I want to know more about this family. I would love to read more about them.
So, this book starts in the Hellion book. You know that Alissa is pregnant, you know there 's tension in between her and Colin. Tampons are the ice breaker and the "hand reaching out" for them to become closer. Colin is giving her strength to be herself again, to lose the self-pity and together with her new family ( all her friends ) they fight for justice and peace in their lifes. It's beautiful to read how she opens up to Colin, how they open up to each other and how a man becomes father without being the spermdonor. This man is gold.
Yes, it's sappy, yes it's hurtfull when she talks about the past and how rape changed her life. Yes you swoon, and yes you don't get enough sleep when you start reading this book. I read through the night, wanted to know more and more and especially what the baby's name is.
My Goodreads friend Sorilla posted a gif of a chocolate torte being lovingly eaten with a spoon and I thought it summed up how I felt about this book, you see it was so good I wanted to savour every taste.. I mean word! This is the third and final book of the Rebel series and I do think It's the best. Alissa is heavily pregnant and from the off, you know all is not right in her world. Trying to not give anything away, she is the girl Teagan and Quin took under their wing after finding her in dire straights with no one to turn to. Abandoned by her parents and friends she finds herself at the mercy as she sees it, to her friends, she barely knows from high school. Rebel, Mick and Colin are the very hot brothers that feature in this series and It's Colin that you get to find more about in this story. I went from laughing my head off to sobbing my heart out and in between my lovely husband would make me a nice cup of tea to calm my nerves (an English thing, I think). What I really enjoyed about this book was that nothing was rushed and you got to know each character's background and eventually when all that Alissa has been through is revealed, It hits you with a punch, poor girl. The heroines in these books are honestly amazing snarky beautiful inside and out and oh so funny. Just don't get me started on Teagans culinary skills because some of the things the group of friends get up to, avoiding eating it had me in stitches. Alissa and Colin's story is so moving and wonderful that I really want to give 10 stars never mind 5. Well done Elle Casey you are one amazing storyteller and I am a huge fan, that was book heaven.
This is book 3 of the Rebel trilogy by Elle Casey. Rebel was my favorite, Hellion (Mick) comes in second and Trouble is third. They were all great guys. The female characters in the first two books were annoying but hilarious. The female lead in this story, was extremely annoying. I tried to give her a pass because she was pregnant but geez, how ungrateful can you be to people who took you in for free when you were homeless???Couldn't get past that...
This series ROCKS! It is really hard for me to choose which book in this series is my favorite because they are all so great!
I read this book in one setting. I love Elle’s writing style and flow of the story. Colin is an awesome book boyfriend. He is mysterious and a bad boy! Who doesn’t love a bad boy? But this bad boy wants to be loved and has so much love to give. In walks Addison a pregnant girl that has been tossed aside. The love takes a while to bloom but when it does look out!
This book has so many emotions love, heartbreak but most of all Elle can deliver some laugh-out-loud hysterical dialogue. It is a nice change of pace for a romance novel. Its gooshy and funny! I love the bad food. (you will understand when you read the book)
This book can be read as a stand-alone and has a HEA. We get to see the other characters Rebel and Hellion and the series is tied up in a neat little bow. But read the other two books to get the whole Sha-Bam.
I have read several Elle Casey books and have loved every one of them! She is one of my favorite Author’s and I can’t wait for more books! I will recommend this book, as well as all of Elle’s books.
Quotes:
“What is that?” he asks, leaning over touching the top of my pants. I have maternity jeans on and the cotton panel in front is covering my bulging belly. I slap his hand away. “My pants dummy. Don’t touch.” He laughs once. “Those are some high pants, Melvin.” – Colin
“Every day when I wake up, I try to come up with ways to see you. I think about you and the baby every second of the day. I dream about you guys at night.” – Colin
“Listen… if you’ll let me, I’ll spend the next hour or so helping you forget the past and making you fell like a million bucks. I hope like hell that when I do that, you’ll moan and shout and growl and scream and anything else that feels right. That’s what happens when people make love, okay? They make noise. And it’s not the same as what happened to you before. It’s pleasure, not pain.” – Colin
Holy crap! This chick has to be the most obnoxiously annoying heroine I have ever come across.
There are no words for how insufferable this girl was.
She is pregnant and homeless and she is a complete asshole to the people that are giving her a roof over her head and food in her stomach. Pregnancy does not excuse you to be an asshole! They're just trying to help her but she yells at them and runs out or goes and hides in the bathroom. Ugh, I hate her.
Spoilers in regard to the couple in book #2 (Quin & Mick):
Ho boy, Elle Casey is amazing! Another beautiful book she gave us. And did you take a look at the cover? If that doesn't pick your interest I don't know what will. I enjoyed the hole book even if the first chapters where the MC is an annoying bitch, soon we all discover why. Take your time and read it, fells so good when just finished to read books like this.
I almost didn't want to read this book. I knew once I was finished the series would be done and I didn't want that to happen. I loved these books. The characters were so much fun and the guys were amazing. I really think Colin was my favourite, even though Rebel and Mick were really close. I'm sad to see the series ending, but I'm hoping I will get to read a lot more from this author!!
Absolutely fabulous conclusion to the series!!!! So many times I wanted to jump to the end to reveal the babies name, i held out & enjoyed the ride!!!! That didn't stop me from guessing her name to be "Colleen" - so very special!!!! I didn't want it to end!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️loved all of it!!!!
Alissa was a lot harder to connect with. Her attitude and pity party through most of the book was a little irritating. Colin was cute but he's no Rebel or Mick. That birth scene was...Wow. Lol There were some lol moments but the main one was definitely during the birth with Jersey.
Ok I really liked this series. I could not stop reading and put this book down. My husband even made diner so I didn't have to stop reading. There is Not a dull moment in Trouble!
I loved Colin he was such a sweet and sexy bad ass guy lol. This book really engaged all the characters from the previous two books, Rebel and Hellion. I totally loved that we got to see Teagan, Rebel, Quin, Mick, Colin and Alissa all together as one family. The attraction between Colin and Alissa was evident in Hellion, but still Colin remained fearful of Alissa's pregnancy and refused to be left alone with her. Alissa was the good girl with a plan, her love for the wrong guy put her in a situation that took everything she worked so hard for and left her broken. Whilst still unable to divulge her secrets to her girlfriends, Alissa and Colin grew closer and he became her protector. Colin's protectiveness and love for her was beautiful, even though he was portrayed to be a ladies man he had a heart of gold, and this was evident when it came to Alissa, Teagan and Quin. I loved how the females were the focus in each book throughout the series, and how they each won the hearts of the three brothers making them all complete and whole. Teagan was hilarious in this and I had so many laugh out loud moments. I couldn't get enough of Colin he was so gentle and patient with Alissa, breaking down her resolve and teaching her how to trust again as he took on responsibility and showed her what love really entailed. I loved the scene in the supermarket we got to see a playful side to Colin and Alissa. The book bought everything together regarding the death of Teagan's father, we learn of Colin's own demons and Alissa's big secret I just wished there was more as I couldn't get enough of this band of brothers! I totally love Elle Casey and this series confirms why she's one of my all time favourite authors!
SWOOOON!!! This is my favorite of all the books in the series! Colin is the bad boy who is suppose to be all kinds of trouble but he is... so gooooood. He is made out to be the one that will amount to nothing, has sex with every girl he sees, and can't stay out of jail in the first book. Then you really get to meet him in the second book and find out that he has a bad temper but can be sweet if you give him a chance. Then in this book you find out that he is sweet, funny, creative, and sexy. I mean you can feel the heat from him coming out off the book. I think I saw steam coming from my kindle! From the start of it I knew there was more to him than anyone knew he just needed someone special to help him find his way.
I was unsure about Alissa at first. I couldn't tell if I felt sorry for her or what. I knew she was hiding something from everyone and I had a pretty good idea what it was. I liked her but I also wanted to slap her at times. She was whiny and ungratful. BUT I connected with her and most of the time just wanted to grab her and hug her. A few times I wanted to grab her and ask her what the hell she was thinking but I guess I am a little paranoid and don't trust people. This one had me laughing at 4% in and it kept it up. Then all the emotions had a chance to roll in and hang out because there was anger about the way Alissa's parents treated her, sadness for Colin with his sister's story, fright for what Randy & Charlie were going to do, and happiness for them all. I still would love to have another book to tie all of there stories up and really get a good closing but it gave me enough of a happily ever after that I can use my imagination and fill in the details.
Holy mother of hell what an awesome book this was!!! I started reading this last night after finishing book 2 Hellion and I love the whole Rebel Wheels family. Every character made these 3 books so freakin awesome. Little Jersey boy had to be one of the most funniest little characters i have ever read about. First the chemistry between Alyssa and Colin was unbelievable beautiful and I just love how he never gave up regardless of her pregnancy. I would have love to read more of all their futures in an epilogue of something since this was the end of all their stories. I could not stop laughing at the delivery of Alyssa's baby and Jersey and Quin in the back of the car (too freakin funny) and then Teagan and Quinn also made the books hilarious. I love that you made these books with a little bit of everything of love, drama and comedy and with everyone involved since book 1. For sure you have to read from the beginning to know about all the characters. Love the romance, love the comedy, love the sobbing stories, and the way everyones story just came about in the end. Like i said I would have love to know more about their HEA for all 3 brothers and their girls like marriage, kids, etc. But in all the books were all beautiful and awesome!!
5 extremely beautiful, golden stars!!! Loved this one!!!! My favourite from the series hands down! ( even though I've loved the first one so much -that one was sooo friggin' funny!!!) This story has sooo much more depth than Rebel and Hellion, because here are much more factors involved. The heroine from this book is now one of my favorite heroines of all time, she is on my top list of really strong and brave heroines. The things she've been through...pfff man, talking about sad, harsh and brutal. Her strenght is amazing and her courage is huge, like uber huge!!! The hero is one of the best!!! I mean Wow! Damaged, sensible, he is gradually falling for the h and he is always helping and taking care of her. I love how the characters from the first and the second book are a big part of the action, because you can feel exactly what a beautiful family they make. I am so sorry that I can't find my words right now and I can't explain how beautiful this story is! This book is about broken dreams, damaged souls, falling in love, loss, friendship, family and happiness! This really is a must read!!!
YESSSSS! This was another slam-dunk by one of my very favorite authors of all time, if not THE favorite. I want some TROUBLE :))) I want some more TROUBLE :P PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT This was such a beautiful conclusion to this amazing series. I about died laughing. I swear to God there is no other author out there who has so much humor inside. I think I peed my pants twice while reading this book. Teagan and Quin are some of the most amazing characters out there. And I loved to see Alissa grow into her motherhood. And OMG, Colin, don't let me even start on Colin. He is supremely delicious. SO SO SO amazing. Gorgeous inside and out. I think I liked him best out of all 3 brothers.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS SUPERB STORY MS. CASEY!
Trouble was definitely my favorite of the three books. Not taking anything away from Rebel and Mick, but I always had a soft spot for Colin. I am so glad to see that he got his happy ending. I totally loved all the alpha-maleness in all the books. What woman wouldn't want a guy like that. Alissa had been through so much and we finally find out just how much in this book. She deserved happiness after all she went through. I loved how Teagan, Rebel, Quin, Mick and Colin became their own family, and Alissa and her baby became a part of it. I know it sounds sappy but it was a beautiful story. Make sure to read the first two books before this one though because there is a storyline to follow. You won't regret it!
This book was terrible. But I did finish it - it was a like a car crash I couldn’t look away from.
Elle Casey’s books and series follow a formula. Book one is main character girl. Book two is her best friend. Book three is a not so random side character from book one that’s pregnant. And book three is effing weird.
All of her books also include just dumb women. I’m pretty sure her single dimensional characters have never had genuine human interactions before. This is a problem I have with most romance novels though, so this particular author isn’t to blame.
I first read some of Elle Casey’s books 10+ years ago when I started occasionally reading romance. I read this whole series in about a week and will not be reading anything else of hers.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This had the potential to be my favorite on the series, but it turned out to be my least. Why? The end was hurried...like out of control rushed. Also, I think it's odd that each of these books' titles are the lead male roles name/nickname, and yet they are all told from the females point of view. Alissa was not my favorite character, but I quickly became a fan, especially when she got over her woe is me crap. I have liked Collin from the first book, and I liked him even more throughout this one. For a book named Trouble- Colin's nickname...we sure don't learn much about Collin. So, yeah...I thought the characters and the storyline had great potential...unfortunately it just fell flat.
