This is your typical cutesy romance novel but I really liked it. However, The synopsis was different for me. It's about a female reporter, Samantha, who is trying to get a story about famous Dominic DeMarco's wedding. It turns out that the marriage was a rouse to get more attention from the masses. The problem is the bride chickens out and now they need a bride to replace. Sam is in the wrong place and Dominic's agents make a deal with her. She gets a story and money in exchange for her silence and being Dominic's Bride. I mean you don't usually read about this. However, it really was a typical romance. Like the usual romance novel, the male lead character was a jerk at first and then you find out he really is a sweetheart. I can't get enough books like this. This was a really enjoyable read for me.

Good Story.

This is a well written story with well developed characters. I love the author's sense of humor. I am very thankful the sex was handled carefully, not described in vivid detail. Some authors go way overboard with this. From what the author wrote, we were smart enough to know what happened without all the smut. Thank you. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 was I absolutely abhore 2 things. 1. Using God's name in vain. The author did that, twice. 2. The "F" bomb was used once. Judging from how well this author wrote this story, I'm CERTAIN she has the creativity and vocabulary skills to find swear words that are not those two. Yes, absolutely, I recommend this book.

Here Comes the Bride by Theresa Ragan is a quick read romance. It is one of the books in the boxed set Ten Brides for Ten Heros. The books all have the same plot which is very simple-boy meets girl, have problems, make up and get married. They are good for mindless reading and they are simply fun.
Samantha Johnston is on a mission. She is a reporter for LABEAT who wants to be moved up to an investigative reporter. She was sent by her boss to the wedding of the century. This is the wedding of Dominic DeMarco, famed actor to an unknown bride. Her identity has been kept a secret not to be revealed until she walks down the aisle. Unfortunately, Samantha is on the outside of the church and the wedding starts in minutes. She leaves the group of reporters and makes her way stealthily around the church until she comes upon an unlocked door. She enters to find herself face to face with three men who are very upset. As she listens to them, she realizes she is in the presence of Dominic DeMarco and two other men who are evidently important to him. Later she learns they are Tom who is his best friend and Ben who is his manager. As she listens, she realizes the bride has run off and is on her way to Europe. They talk about needing a bride right away. After talking to her and confusing her a bit, she finds herself in a wedding dress about to walk down the aisle to be married to Dominic. She realizes this is her chance and Dominic knows that she is planning an exclusive tell all piece about being Mrs. Dominic DeMarco in three months when they divorce. She can do this.
Dominic DeMarco is an actor who is portrayed as a womanizer. Few people know what kind of man he really is. His uncle has embezzled his money and he is broke with his acting career at risk. He listened to Ben and accepted a pretend marriage so World Studios would pay him a great deal of money, jump start his career, and pay for the wedding, reception, and honeymoon. At least he now has a potential wife and he doesn’t have to worry about trusting a woman with his heart. As long as his half-sister is left alone and he doesn’t have to see his mother, he can be whatever the public wants him to be. Is he happy?
When Samantha and Dominic are wed, things begin to pop. Samantha is exposed to the otherside of the reporters and doesn’t like it. She promises Dominic to be fair in her report on being his wife and promised not to reveal his personal life. Things begin to hum between them. Then an unscrupulous reporter steals her journal and begins writing stories about things only the two of them would know, and their life explodes. Dominic can no longer trust Samantha because he feels she is the mysterious reporter. Is she? Will things work out?

I hope for twist and comedy when i read the synopsis... it was interesting in the beginning :D but it became quite similar with korean drama full house i guess... and when i read it, i wonder why she does not consider her family in the beginning proposal offer ( then i realized it is western who has individualized culture).. when read it, i also wonder best friend and her co-worker and bosses... hm... :/ i thought theresa regan did not carefully think about it.. but then in other part of story, there is quite logical explanation... it is acceptable but not interesting... ^^v it is cliche but despite of that, i am still quite enjoy it :)

This was a nice quick read for me and I loved how far out there and implausible the plot line was. The main characters were likable but I didn't love them. Samantha only had a few moments towards the beginning/middle of the book that I found to be very irritating but it wasn't overbearingly annoying. Dominic was an interesting character because I didn't know if I liked him or not throughout the hold book and I still don't know if I do... Sometimes he was kind of blah and other times he was kinda really annoying. So I'm going to reserve any concrete judgement for now. This was a good albeit very far-fetched book that I don't know if I would read again but I don't regret reading.

When I read the summary for this book in goodreads, I just wanted to somehow read it....and also, because I already had become a fan of Ms Ragan after reading her Having My Baby. And I should it was a good experience for me....Here comes the bride was interesting, funny and entertaining. A fantastic, romantic read for me....a easy flow of words, beautifully written by the author. I rate it as 3.5!!

If your looking for a quick summer story, this is it. What starts out to be a reporter, Samantha, trying to get the story to launch her career by getting the scoop on the mysterious bride.

She didn't think she would end up being the sexiest man on the planet's wife.

What with the honeymoon starting their married life sleeping separately, with both of them desperately trying to get through the marriage of convenience unscathed, they don't expect to fall and fall hard four each other.

It has fun and heartache, sending you on a roller coaster of emotions, good clean fun!

This was fun, intriguing, and something you can relate to... maybe not the marrying a celebrity part, but being involved with characters like these - with issues like theirs.

Sam is just trying to move up in the journalist world, so when she takes her chance at Dominic Demarco's wedding, she didn't think she'd end up as the big story... his bride has stood him up, and Sam walked in at a most opportune time.

Without looking back, they make an agreement to marry for 3 months... less than a month into it, things are looking up and falling apart at the same time.

This is a fairy tale type story, no way would it ever happen, but if you can suspend belief you might enjoy it. Sam (tabloid journalist) and Dominic (Hollywood heartthrob) are pretty stereotypical. She thinks he's a manwhore, he thinks she makes up lies about celebrities. Due to wacky circumstances they marry, then pretty quickly fall in love. Of course communication issues abound, and that leads to misunderstandings...

It was a fairly fun escapist story, but I vastly prefer Ms. Ragan's darker suspense novels.

my third book by Theresa Ragan and they just keep getting better! Another very well written enjoyable marriage of convenience book. Well paced- good story and my perfect go-to book when I'm bored of reading long serious novels. The only part I didn't exactly like was the epilogue- I would have much rather read it from the H/h POV . I wasn't interested in Emma so that's there. In spite of it the book was still really nice and even though it's quite predictable (and anyone who picks up a book like this knows not to look for surprises) I really enjoyed reading it.

I gave this book five stars because it was funny and fast paced.

I really enjoyed the storyline- reporter Sam turns up to find out who movie star, heart throb Dominic's secret bride is - to end up becoming that bride! Now all she has to do is pretend for three months and she will get her exclusive story on what it's like to be married to such a celebrity. However, as he is such a heart throb can Sam last three months without falling for his charms?

Great fluff read.

Two people overcoming their trust issues.

If I agree to be your wife again and five years from now or maybe even five hours, you see me hugging the clerk at the local market and I tell you you’re being a jealous fool, you just need to know that it doesn’t mean anything and that I only love you. No need to make a big deal about a hug.”

This is fairly typical 'wacky romance' where a couple end up married for all the wrong reasons and with an escape clause. There was just too much inanity for my preference.

The whole premise is silly, the relatives of the main characters are stereotypes. The other journalists are stereotypes and the main characters are absurd.

It all revolves around people being unwilling to explain / unwilling to listen.

I really loved this book and once I started reading it I found it impossible to put down. The story between Sam and Dominic is one that will definitely keep you entertained. From laugh out loud moments to ones that have you wanting to hit someone yourself, it was a very enjoyable book. I really enjoy this author's style and can't wait to read more of her books.

It's a beautiful story with great characters which I would have loved to love but unfortunately,I had trouble getting used to the writing style. It felt too abrupt, with the author seeming almost detached in her story telling which is why I never fell in love with Samantha and Dominic, despite them being the type of characters I usually love in a contemporary romance.

I really liked this romance and all the characters. None of the characters were obnoxious or stupid like they sometimes are in some romance books. I could understand Domonic's problem with trust after everything that happened to him growing up, but when he had to he got over it quickly and didn't cause too much of a break

This was a quick, easy read and rather predictable. But sometimes you need a book that's feel-good and one that you know will have a happy ending. The characters were likeable enough but the premise did seem a bit far-fetched.

This was a cute, quick little summer read. Ate it up rather quickly on a vacation. To me there was nothing really noteworthy about it either good or bad, which for me is a great thing. The characters were ok, overall I did not hate them.

A typical chicklit with a lovely story. I love the way the female character was built as a strong, independent woman. One thing I don't like from American fiction is that there's always a thin line between love and lust. And it's not good. It's so not real.

How could I not read this? The protagonist has my first and last name! That was really the only reason I read it but I thought it was funny, the only thing was it followed the same pattern as 'Having My Baby' and it was like she took the same story but made it a little different.

A quick read for me. I enjoyed reading this book but it was so quick. An actor getting married needs a bride and a reporter is there. The rest is history. Modern day romance but every girls dream. ♡
