Blaine Blackstock is a rodeo cowboy living in Wyoming, who works his ranch with the help of his best friend, Jeremiah. Blaine had never really cared to explore the idea of love—until, that is, he meets Addison Cole. She’s a sweet and beautiful redhead, who left her home in Maine with a new nursing degree, her brother, and a painful secret.

Through all of their up’s and down’s, Blaine learns that he can love—and be loved in return. Also, that he deserves it wholeheartedly. He’s been completely, explicitly, and deliciously captivated by Addison. His heart races and slows all at once, with just the thought of her.

But, just when he thinks he’s finally got it all, his world crashes down around him. How can a broken man see light in the darkness?

Book One of the Meadowlarks Series is the powerful story of a country boy’s lust, love, heartache and strength.

The Meadowlarks Series novels are adult contemporary and not intended for young readers due to the mature content.

Received this book for an honest review.

Addy has left Maine behind to start a new life. She doesn't know where she will end up. Just the open highway with her brother Alex and dog Luca. Addy is trying to put her life back together after a horrible tragedy happened.

Blaine has lived his whole life in Wyoming. He currently lives in the house that he was raised in when his dad left him at the age of 18 and moved in with Blaine's older brother. He loves the ranch. He thought he was happy being a bachelor with his best friend Jeremiah living five minutes down the road.

Everything changed for Blaine when he saw a beautiful red head in the local feed store. He knew at that moment his life would never be the same again.....and it wasn't.

After what happened to Addy in Maine she never thought she would be loved or that she could fall in love. She didn't deserve robe loved.

A whirl wind romance with obstacles, pasts that need to be buried and insecurities for both of them. Blaine and Addy find a way to fall in madly in love and endure what life throws at them.

Love me some cowboys. My one hang up with the book and therefore not sure how I should rate the book is it felt rushed to me. We went from Thanksgiving to Christmas to March within a few pages. I felt within those four months a lot of the emotional issues could have been brought about and delt with at some point. Blaine breaks down at Christmas but it never really is explored. Emotional issues are so much harder to deal with than the physical.

Loved the characters. The theme. The setting. I will definitely read the next installment to see what has been happening.

Oh !!! You made me cry with Jeremiah !!!

I would have to say somewhere between 3 1/2 to 4 stars.

I was sent this book to give an honest review. I enjoyed this book. :) I added it to my favorites list.
When I started this story I was interested on how it would continue since both main characters fell in love quickly. The author wrote a sweet story of true and realistic love and intertwined events that were unexpected, which I liked. I think the part when the main male character ends up in the hospital and loses some of his short term memory could have been a little deeper and the recovery a little longer. I loved the tenderness between the two of them and how each event that they go through results in happiness. I love how the male character is a little bit of an alpha and its from his POV for 98% of the story. Plus there were hot scenes between the two main characters :)

Based in a small town, Ashley Christine has taken a love story and placed it in the world of cowboys. This great story of Blaine takes you on a journey of learning about love, and to keep love burning bright. When Addison comes to the small town, she is taken by surprise of a local cowboy. She learns what real love is and how to leave the past behind her, with the help of course from the cowboy. The idea of a classic love story has been taken and made even more enjoyable. This novel has action, romance, and moments that make a reader cry for joy and sadness. Ashley Christine has written an amazing first book to her series, keeping the readers captivated and wanting to get ahold of the next book!

I received this as an ARC copy in exchange for and honest review.
I liked this book, it's not often you get a romance book just through the guys point of view. It's was a nice change of pace.
I loved the story between Blaine and Addy. Addy had some past issues, but she was still able to open up and let Blaine in. (I think every girl need a cowboy in her life (;). I think all the characters were well developed and got you attached to every one in the story.
I think the only issue I had was there wasn't a lot of smooth transitions between scenes. It seemed a little choppy.
I can't wait to see what comes next! I will definitely be checking out the next book! :)

I really liked this book. It has a beautiful story of love, friendship and family.
This is a story between Blaine and Addy. Blaine never found love until he meets Addy, and she has suffered already a bad break up. She decides to change everything in her life and moved to another city. What she didn't expect is to find her love life .
Addy meets Blaine and the attraction is immediate . Their relationship grows and also their trust. They help each other with their personal problems.
With great characters , like Jeremiah, Blaine's best friend and Alex, Addy's brother, this story will capture your heart.
Thank you, Ashley, for the opportunity to read your book!
Loved it!

So rare to find a book told solely from the male pov. Enjoyed the journey taken with Blaine and Addison from start to finish.
Addison is looking to start over in a new place she and her brother end up in Wyoming. Blaine has been going through the motions for so long but from the moment he sees Addie he knows his whole life is about to change. Though their journey has difficulties they always find their way back to each other. This is an in depth story about their love for each other and I loved every minute of it.

Hot,Hot,Hot!
A great read! Intense romance with cowboys, ranches, small town love, very well written! Lots of memorable characters. Written from the males point of view, which was a wonderful change from other romance books. Not your typical looking romance book cover. I even have the same birthday as the main female character! How cool is that? Highly recommend, but don't read if you don't like explicit sex scenes!
