Cork is a short muskrat who knows how to wait, and Fuzz is a tall possum who doesn’t like to wait for anything. When a round, yellow object floats through the sky, both Cork and Fuzz chase after it. Is it the sun? Is it an egg? Wait a minute—did it just pop? In the ninth book in this series, Dori Chaconas and Lisa McCue once again create a funny, charming, easy-to-read story about the adventures of two best friends who go together perfectly—differences and all.
Dori Chaconas learned story pacing from an early age while entertaining her younger siblings. The author of such picture books as ON A WINTRY MORNING, ONE LITTLE MOUSE, and MOMMA, WILL YOU?, she lives in Germantown, Wisconsin.
It's a cute story about friends who are very different and often behave quite like siblings. They tease and tend to annoy each other almost to the point of coming to blows, but in the end they are the best of friends.
This tale depicts them on a wild chase to catch a yellow balloon which they've determined is somehow connected to the sun. We enjoyed reading this book together and we will certainly look for more of the books in this series at our local library.
Cork and Fuzz's latest adventure is chasing the sun egg. Lively illustrations of a possum and a muskrat with delightful expressions accompany the text in this everybody reader.
