Best Bondage Erotica 2014

This book was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review.
I usually write the author's name after the title but this little or should I say large gem had an amazing twenty one authors to be listed. Just the thought of so many talented writers together on the pages of one book was enough to get my heart pumping before I even turned the first page.
The first couple of pages summed it right up " Bondage is the most basic building block of kink sex, it is the freedom to let everything go and just feel." This makes so much sense to me, instead of worrying where to put your hands, what to do next to your partner, the only thing that you are allowed to do, since you can not move is FEEL. How liberating that is. How freeing. I love reading BDSM stories because I feel that they are so honest.
The stories in here are definately BDSM and focus mainly on the aspect of bondage. Oooh, I love bondage. I did not realize just how many ways there were to tie some up up. There were your basic ropes in Rope Dance a circus themed story, a funky use for a necktie in Neckcloth, some interesting usage of paper clips in Clipped, a leather chastity belt in Belted In, some very very different ways to use a simple shoelace in Pegged, ribbons in Wearing Purple and also the invisible usage of bondage in Mind Fuck.
There were plenty of toys, dildos in all shapes and sizes, spanking brushes, whips, floggers, birches, handcuffs, ropes and an innovative device that Anna is strapped down on from her arms to her legs. I loved the way that so many toys were talked about. It was new, fresh and completely different story after story. Sure there were similar themes, bondage being it, of course but the way it was achieved was always very different. In Mind Fuck, Cari has a muscle disease so she could only pretend to be tied down. And let me tell you Quinton did a great job of talking her through it. He was hot stuff.
There were plenty of different scenarios as well with male on female being the norm, but some girl on girl play in Tart Cherry, a master with two women in Dual Master, a wife in charge over the husband in Wearing Purple, some male on male in Roping the Cowboy and some fantasy play by husband and wife in Meeting.
There was pretty loving scenes and some harder core scenes.This book had a little bit of everything. It was an awesome collection. I truly enjoyed reading it. I would rate it 5/5.

My first true taste of erotica was many years ago in the writings of Anais Nin. Later on were the voyages through Penthouse Forum, but true erotica, like good porn, is really hard to find. Erotica was never meant to be just smutty. The root word of erotica deriving from the Greek God of Love, Eros. It was meant to elevate the act of sex into something more. Something more powerful.
Don't get me wrong. I don't think there is anything wrong with smut every once in awhile. But the problem with that is that there is so much of the smut writing everywhere right now. And too little of really good erotica.
What is the difference? Well for me it is often characterization. The fleshing out of the senses and personalities of the characters. Not just rushing into one sex act after the other. But the repercussions of those acts, good and bad, that each person involved must deal with.
In this collection, you will not only be introduced to the acts but to the people as well. Their desires, their needs, their curiosities. What do they receive by taking control and by giving it up as well. You will be introduced to a collection of different authors as well and I'm very sure you will be looking for more of their work after tasting their small appetizers in this book.

I always have trouble reviewing anthologies, especially really good ones like Best Bondage Erotica 2014, because there are so many good stories and how can I possibly do them all justice in a single review? I could try to talk about each one individually, but there are twenty of them here, and frankly I don’t have the fortitude to write that much, or expect anyone would want to read through a long list of mini reviews.
What I can do is let you know that if you are looking for a collection of fascinating, thought-provoking and scorching hot stories, look no further than Best Bondage Erotica 2014.
You can consume the entire book in one glorious gulp, or you can do as I did, which is to savor each story individually, then put the book down until later, so that each story can work its way into your subconscious more thoroughly.
No individual story here runs more than 20 pages, and for me, that’s the biggest strength of the anthology as a whole. Each is perfectly self-contained, describing a moment in time with an ending that provides basic closure, even while it continues to bounce around in your brain as you consider the possibilities of what could have happened next. I enjoyed every one of them, but my absolute favorite was Anyway by Sommer Marsden, as I immediately identified with its heroine as she struggled to free herself from a predicament of her own making.
If you’re at all familiar with Rachel Kramer Bussel’s work as an editor, you already know that she’s got a keen eye for what works in an anthology such as this one. And if you’re at all familiar with writers in the BDSM erotica genre, you’ll see many of your favorites here, doing what they do best. But if this is your first time, I envy you, because you’re about to discover a whole new world of reading satisfaction. Enjoy!

I always look forward to reading a collection put together by RKB. She has quite the knack for finding well-written pieces covering a variety of possibilities for whatever the particular focus may be. Best Bondage Erotica 2014 is no exception. This is another enjoyable collection of stories covering every angle of the kink, from the obvious to the surprising. Some of the stories are very blunt, almost in your face while others are subtle, lyrical, almost romantic. All of them tell their tales well in barely a few pages, managing to draw the reader in to the sensations and atmosphere of the scene. There were a couple of stories that fell a little short (for me, anyway), but overall this is a collection I would recommend to anyone looking for well-written erotica, even those who may not think they are interested in this particular kink.

Rachel Kramer Bussel is a Rock Star! This compilation is amazing! Some of the best snippets of writing I have ever seen. Readers of this book will be treated to some of the amazing BDSM/Kink of their lives. This book introduces readers to over 20 authors that they may or may not be familiar with. I was interested because Annabel Joseph is one of my favorites and she did not disappoint. This book was a little bit of everything! I was fortunate to get a copy in exchange for an honest review. I will be recommending it to all my friends. Everyone should get a copy! I am looking forward to looking up some of my favorite authors in this book to see what else they have in store for me! OMG!!! If you are a fan of Bondage, you must read this book!!! I was lucky enough to receive a copy for my review and believe me, this book will not disappoint you. Loved the forward, it sets the tone for the book, good honest fun. Each of the stories is well written and did i mention hot!!! If you think it will be the same over and over again, believe me that couldn't be further from the truth. If you are a fan of bondage, you must read this book!!!

Best Bondage Erotica 2014 has a little bit for everyone. Whether you are like me and enjoy a book with some bondage themes or are new to the genre, you will find stories in this anthology that'll whet your whistle. That sounded naughtier than I intended... Joking aside, I really enjoyed this anthology. As much as I love books that have a bit of a bondage kick, there are a lot of themes within BDSM that I haven't read and by reading this anthology, it gives the reader a chance to read stories that they normally wouldn't. Best Bondage Erotica 2014 has everything from F/F play to a M/M scene to a multiple partner scene. It has stories that range from sugar kink to holy crap, that has to hurt. There are scenes with partners that use creative toys and couples that use more traditional toys. There is something for everyone in this anthology. And best yet, you can experience 21 different stories to find your next favorite author.
These are the top five stories that I enjoyed the most.
Roping the Cowboy - Holy Mother of Pearl, this story was hot. I loved that the woman asserted herself as the dominate in the couple. And boy does the cowboy enjoy himself...
Anyway - In an anthology filled with sex, sex, and more sex, I thought this story was actually quite romantic. She tries to make him happy by being kind to his mother and tries on clothes that she passed down. Of course, the mother is a twig and the clothes don't fit her. She's feeling bad because they don't fit and he tells her that he loves her body just the way she is. I loved that.
The Neckcloth - This story had the best role play. Loved it!
Clipped - I tend to enjoy books that have more creative toys and this one had the best "use what you got" type of toy. Who knew paperclips made good handcuffs?
Tight-Rope Walker - I'm not one to enjoy stories with ropes because all I can think about is a painful rope burn where ropes shouldn't burn. However, I thought this story was the best one with rope play.
Whether you are new to bondage stories or you love them, this anthology will have something for you to enjoy. I really enjoyed it and now I have a couple new authors to check out.

This anthology totally had my attention from the first story to the last one. What an amazing group of authors writing stories of bondage. Not a single one disappointed me, they all had their own uniqueness. I love the differences, whether it was a couple that just met or couples already in the lifestyle but still finding joy and excitement in each other. The stories had a common theme of bondage, there were so many different ways to engage a partner in bondage from rope to neckties to pashminas (a scarf), each one was more delightful and made my hot-meter skyrocket.
If you are a fan of bondage, you must read this one. Another reason I enjoyed it is because I get to find new authors as well as reading from some already established authors.

Imaginative, clever and seductive on so many levels. Usually in collections like these I find a few stories that don’t “do it” for me. Not that a particular story is bad, it might be the voice, style or theme that didn’t click. Not in this collection. I had so much fun reading this book. Every story is a literary gem. I was thoroughly impressed by the creativity of these talented writers. In erotic fiction there are climaxes, and then there are bondage stories with those frenetic and unequivocal peaceful moments of no escape. This book will certainly “do it” for bondage fans. The reader is in for something unique that will titillate all their naughty parts including their mind.

I’m always a little hesitant to read BDSM stories of any ilk because so many I’ve read just have a false ring to them. These, however, are some of the best bondage stories I’ve gotten my hands on in a long time.
No, not every story appealed to me. Belted In by Roxanna Cross, while the writing is excellent, just wasn’t my cup of tea. The story is full of hot sex but the binding doesn’t come until the end of the story, which perhaps put the damper on this one for me.
On the other end of the spectrum I thoroughly enjoyed Anyway by Sommer Marsden. When a woman knowingly tries on a jacket too small for her and gets her arms stuck, her husband takes advantage of the situation. I found the idea of using everyday objects and in-the-moment opportunity to be realistic and intriguing.
There are so many disparate ideas of bondage here. Lucy Felthouse contributes the great idea of using paperclip chains for bondage, while Kissa Starling uses mind control in Mind F*ck. There’s a purple pashmina scarf, a St. Andrew’s cross and, of course, rope. They are all woven into stories well worth the few minutes it takes to read each one.

Wonderfully steamy even if some of the things weren't necessarily for me. I do ever so enjoy the dichotomy of the characters within these pages. You will never quite see people at war with themselves as when it involves their sexual desires and I think this compilation did a good job of showcasing this war of self and how we can overcome our own fears and truly grasp what we want in a safe, sane, and consensual setting.

Great collection of bondage erotica. There is definitely something for everyone here. I did find myself skimming some of the stories that weren't my cup of tea (femme dommes and m/m) but this collection is definitely worth it due to just how many stories there are!

With 20 different stories from different authors this collection has something for everyone. I love that they are short reads. I like to call them my nooner quickies. I have to say Rachel is the best when it comes to putting a collection of interesting subjects together for her readers.

This book is a very nice collection of BDSM tales. It offers quite the variety of experiences. Some may fully arouse you as written and some you may wish to alter in your mind to adjust the scenario participants. There are 21 stories that will offer erotic stimulation and in many cases pure ecstasy. My F/F partner and Domme loves this type of book for the varied ideas presented and dictates that i read Her the tales while kneeing submissively at Her feet. She often selects some for us to replicate in our D/s relationship. However, believe me, my Mistress is exceptionally creative on Her own:) For those who may follow my reviews, know that i am still kept with a shaved head and in the permanently welded titanium neck collar and wrist/ankle cuffs! Though this is not my normal genre read I found the collection of steamy stories hot and entertaining. There were a few that were not my taste, that is just a matter of preference. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good bondage story or several.
