David Chuka lives in London with his lovely wife and two adorable children. His family are usually the first people to hear his funny and quirky tales. While he has written non-fiction material previously, he is absolutely proud to be called a children's book author. He loves writing stories that educate and entertain.
As a father himself, he has parents at heart when he writes. Bedtime has to be one of the best parts of the day for him as it gives him the opportunity to bond with his little ones. He believes you'll enjoy sharing his stories with your loved ones.

Oh, I've read several of David Chuka's children's books and have loved reading them to youngsters. This book is my favorite! Why? Because I love dogs, too! The illustrations are wonderful, giving the child a hint of the breed of dog described. It is followed with a beautiful photo of the breed. All the dogs are great. My favorite is the Dachshund, but I'd love to give every dog featured in this really cute story a tasty treat for being such good dogs. Great kids' book! They'll love it!
I loved this book and even I learned some new things! It is such an enjoyable picture book to read. and what fun it would be to read it together with young children, and young children at heart, (which is what this Gigi is). It would be such a cute picture book to share with young ones. Mr. Chuka, I loved your choice of illustrating the adult animal with the baby versions shown in photo. The text was simple and informative. It was a fun read, fast, cute, and actually educational.

I feel sure children of all ages will have fun discovering the names of different breeds of dogs that are accompanied with interesting facts. In this book, children will first of all see a certain breed of dog which is depicted in a cartoon image and some fun facts about the breed of dog, then on the next page, they will discover a cute photo of the real dog and its breed.
This was a freebie I found on Bookbub.com today. I loved it so much I awarded it 5 puppy paws.
I Love My Dog - Fun Children's Picture Book with Cartoon Images and Amazing Photos of Dogs (Animal Books for Children) A free coloring book is also attached if you sign up for the newsletter. This is a very colorful children's book that starts out with a story about two brothers who are old enough now to get a dog. The dogs traits are given and then the answer as to what type of dog they are. 19 dogs are highlighted with very useful information to help you choose what type of a dog you need for your family. Other works by the same author are highlighted at the end.
If you child is obsessed with dogs, this might be a good book to teach them about dog breeds. The book is cartoon pictures with clues/facts about the dog breed, then shows a picture of the dog on the next page. I think the facts are pretty true/relevant. I worked in doggy daycare and am a dog lover, so I have a pretty good idea about dog breeds.
Each dog is introduced with a cartoon illustration and some hints about its traits, then the next page shows a photo of the dog and reveals its breed. Kids who like dogs will enjoy trying to guess the answers.
Nice learning tool for young children trying to learn a little about the kinds of dogs, their personalities and which one might make a good pet for them. I would suggest parents read this book along with their child especially if using this to choose their first dog.
My kids love reading this and trying to guess the dogs. They just really want a dog and want to read all the dog books. This one is super cute. It has a drawing on the info page and a picture of the kind of dog on the next page.
The author creates short profiles of various dog personalities in an attempt to help a brother and sister choose a dog. Each type of dog features a cartoon drawing followed by a subjective description and then a photograph of the actual type of dog. This book is targeted for children age two through six.The pictures are rather small; there is no zoom feature, and the text to speech feature is much too quick for a child this age to understand. There are a few editing and formatting errors.
On the other hand, children who love dogs will enjoy the pictures and older children will appreciate the author's sense of humor. The choice of dog breeds is rather selective; some of the more popular breeds like the labrador, beagle and shih tzu are not mentioned. A family just starting out in their search for a family dog might find the book useful as a starting point in their search.
Grammatical errors are frequent. Part of the reason I read to my kid is to help him learn his language, so we can't have that. There's not actually any story to this. The dog "descriptions" are a joke and frankly pathetic. I got it for free and deleted it without sharing it with my son. Even the stock clipart isn't enough to make this worth it to a toddler.
The 2nd graders I had today enjoyed guessing what kind each dog was by the cartoon picture and the descriptions. They knew about half, which is pretty good since there were several that are not that commonly known by children.
This book is wonderfully written, with excellent clues about the dog they are talking about. Children well love the riddles as they try to guess the type of dog.
This is a nice book to use when introducing kids to different breeds of dogs. The info is limited and the illustrations don't accurately depict all the dogs.
