Weird. Really weird. You don't really understand it all until the end but it's really really good.

this book is so weird but in the best way possible. it's has that vague/eerie feel to it, but it's not necessarily a "horror" book, if that makes any sense. I found it a bit confusing at times, but overall an amazing read that I keep going back to!

It didn't actually take me this long to read this middle school book but I did lose interest for the middle couple chapters. Overall this title seemed like a g rated version of Girl Interrupted. I would've enjoyed more historical references to anchor the story into the time age of nuclear meltdown. I feel as though the author skipped out on the practical dramas of a young girl being forced into a mental ward. I fee like some explanations were missing in the middle of the story, the plot seemed to hop and jump about without details. I appreciate the reference to the chronicles of narnia because those tails were written in the shadow of looming air raises similar to this piece.
