O-Parts Hunter #2

O-Parts Hunter 2

Rate this book

In the not too distant future, mankind fights over relics from an ancient civilization called O-Parts, each of which contain incredible powers. Some people with special abilities are able to use the O-Parts to their full potential, and are known as O.P.T.s (or O-Parts Tacticians). Naturally, O-Parts can be used for both good and evil purposes.

Jio is a young boy with a tragic past who only trusts one thing in the world: money. Little does he suspect that he is actually a very powerful O.P.T.s, and inside him sleeps a demon of incredible ferocity. He meets up with a girl named Ruby who, like her famous father before her, wants to become a treasure hunter. Though Jio doesn't believe in friendship, he agrees to be Ruby's bodyguard, and together they go on a dangerous quest to discover as many O-Parts as they can.

About the author

Seishi Kishimoto

128 books57 followers
He is the younger twin-brother of Masashi Kishimoto (creator of Naruto). The two have been drawing manga together since early childhood, thus their styles are similar. As a result, the two have frequently been accused of copying the other. Seishi, himself, notes that the similarities are not intentional since they were both influenced by many of the same things while the more famous Masashi even asked fans stop calling Seishi a "copy cat". Seishi created the manga 666 Satan, which is serialized in Japan by Monthly Shonen Gangan and licensed by VIZ in America as "O-Parts Hunter".

Love it :D
666 Satan (which is the original titel for O-Parts Hunter) is definitely one of my favorite mangas :D It's written/drawn by Seishi Kishimoto, the youngest of the kishimoto-twins (Masashi being the eldest, and the author of Naruto), which is why it might seem similar to Naruto. However the storylines differ a lot from each other - even though they've got quite the same plot. But in terms of stories, I believe 666 Satan is way better than Naruto, and I'd like to recommend it for all shonen / action lovers :D
