This is a real mess of a manga. A slice-of-life story is mingled with a variety of conspiracy plots, and none of them are done very well. The storytelling is jumpy, plotlines are tied up suddenly, new plots are introduced with barely any warning, important scenes are too short, and the characters are thin. This volume is better than the first in that the plot actually moves, but it fails in juggling too much and dropping most balls. There seems to be something interesting here in the conspiracy plots, but it is so jumbled up with all the rest that it's hard to know what to do with it.
It’s really kind of surprising how fast paced this second omnibus was in comparison to the first. It’s also just slightly worrying how they’ll manage to wrap everything up in just one more volume…
