Grandy Apple loves her grandchildren. They all have so much fun in the Apple Orchard, where they live. They work, they play, they celebrate, and they take care of each other. Grandy Apple is a rhyming, 'read-aloud' interactive storybook, meant to be enjoyed by children and their families together. Come see who lives in a tree! Grandy Apple, Candy Apple, Caramel Apple, Hannah Banana, Polly Pineapple, and Penny Pear. They make apple cider, go to school, go swimming at the beach, have a birthday party, play dress up, sing songs, take a bath, tell stories, and go to bed. They are a wonderful family that always have lots of fun. Come and join us! ‘a delightful, imaginative, illustrated tale . . . the delicately tinted, expressively sweet fruit-faced illustrations make “Grandy Apple” a truly unforgettable bedtime story, to be treasured and shared by both young and old.’ – Midwest Book Review
Joe Gardner is an author from West London. Heavily influenced by writers from across the centuries, from Dickens and Kafka to Pratchett, Adams and Gaiman, as well as British cinema and the psychology of the young and drunk, Gardner penned his first novel, The Life and Loves of Jet Tea in 2013. Gardner also regularly writes and performs darkly comic folk songs, going by the stage name 'Groke', named after the antagonist of the Finnish children's book series 'The Moomins', by Tove Jansson. Many of the themes of his songs are further explored in his fiction.
Joe Gardner is currently working on his second, as yet untitled novel; a ghost story set upon the bleak Kentish coast.
