If the meek can become deadly, the strongest can be weak. For Ethan Holloway, his mission to find a missing werewolf should be simple. Crack a few heads, bust a few chops and the solution always reveals itself. Always. Not this time. Ethan's reputation precedes him, and because it does, someone is ready. Waiting. Unbeknownst to Ethan, he's about to go down. Hard. Against a foe he never suspected and in a world he never imagined could be real. What awaits Ethan is a fight not only for his reputation, but also his pack, his female, and his life. If he survives, damage control will become priority number one. If he survives. Because even Ethan's not sure he's strong enough to take on an entire race all by himself. Especially one hell bent on exposing who and what he is in the name of sport.

I’ve been WAITING for this book since I first read Darkness & Light. Ethan Holloway is by far my fav Holloway boy – and fav book boyfriend.

So what can I say about this book? I know Ms. Belfield nibbled her nails away when ARCs went out, but …

She has nothing to worry about.

Yummies: Absolutely everything.

Caged delivers. In a BIG way. We finally get a glimpse into Ethan. What drives him. What undoes him. All wrapped up in one thrilling ride.

I just want you all to know that for a prego woman to sit on the couch from 9pm until midnight without getting up ONE SINGLE TIME to visit the bathroom is epic.

Best Holloway book so far, and NOT because it's Ethan. Kick butt tension & action. Couldn't put it down. I don't think I even paused to take a sip of water.

I wish you all could have seen my jaw drop when I clicked on next page & nothing happened - then a big grin because I realized I loved the ending just the way it was. THEN came another jaw drop when I looked at that clock. *snicker*

Scared the crappola outta the hubs (his words the morning after) when I crawled into bed at that hour.

Yuckies: Yeah, right.

Recommend: As with all the Holloway Pack stories, I highly recommend you nab a copy and submerge yourself in their world. You’ll come up gasping for breath, wishing there were such creatures as werewolves.

WELL done, Ms. Belfield. That is all.

I am going to start this review by saying I don't read romance. I have read exactly two romantic novels at my wife's recommendation. Nothing against the genre, I just usually read things with explosions and other stereotypical guy junk.

Okay, that's out of the way. The actual review starts here:

I've never read any of the other Holloway stories, but Caged was great. Sure there was a small romantic part to the plot, but the majority of it relied on suspense and action and werewolves. All of which are awesome. The book grabbed my attention from the onset, a little ways in it grabbed me by the throat, and it didn't let go until it was damn well ready to.

If I'm not mistaken this is the first book in the Holloway Pack series about Ethan. If it's not someone tell me now so I can go read that. If not, Belfield should really consider writing another book about him. His character is tough and believable and engaging. I had no problem feeling his pain, his desire, and his anger throughout the novel.

That's all I can say about the book. I hate when people give away plot points in reviews.

The last thing I have to say is that in ratings I don't give 5's. 5 is my absolute favorite, stuck on a desert island you can only have one book, books. That being said, I give Caged a VERY, strong 4.

MY REVIEW
I received an E-Arc of this one from J Taylor publishing in exchange for y honest review and opinion. I am part of J.A. Belfield's Blog Tour in September but had to read the book now! Everytime I went on my kindle it was there and the Holloway Pack were quite literally calling to me lol! So I read it rather earlier than originally planned.
So the cover is . . .erm .. .great, we have a . .. hmmmm....picture of the gorgeous Ethan Holloway on it. Though on the cover he is trapped in a cage (not good). I love the byline "His reputation precede's him" Ethan does have a reputation of not being beaten in a fight, and he would fight to the death to protect those he cares about. So I love the cover! Would I pick it up in a book store? Of course I admit to being totally addicted to this fantastic series.
In this book we are back to the Pack. It's all about fighting and sort of survival of the fittest.
Now the plot/storyline . . .So Gabe has gone missing, so of course the Holloway Pack are called by his mum Shelley and start looking for him. Ethan and Kyle are trapped and end up in cages. So they do find Gabe? Yes, just perhaps not the way they would have preferred and now I've given you enough . . . The blurb tell's us about the fight Ethan has to face, will he win, will he fight to the death as they people in charge want him to? We also learn about other shifter's in this book, there's Brook the panther, more wolves from different packs, and there's Lauren who even those that have captured her don't know what she is or can do. Not everyone survives, there are casualties. The "kidnappers" expect the different races to fight each other to the death.
This book concentrates mostly on Ethan, and we learn more about him as a person, though we did know he was a "good guy" and protective too. We also see a softer side to "Uncle Ethan" I think we can safely say whether boy or girl, Jem and Sean's baby will have "Uncle Ethan" wrapped around his/her little finger and I'm looking forward to more of that and the change in the dynamic of the pack that the birth will create.
Wow this book is action packed! You are literally sat on the edge of your seat whilst reading this one. What else can I say? "wow, Ethan!" In this book we had fun with the characters we know well, got to know some of the other characters better (Gabe and Shelley), and met some new characters (the Brosens Pack, and Brook, & Lauren). I hop some of these new characters continue to interact with the Holloway Pack family too. We even had a little bit of Jem's sister Jess in this book, just a brief appearance though.
This book is... well as fantastic as ever, Yeay The Holloway Pack! What more can I say? When's the next one??
So did I enjoy this book? YEEESSS! Would I recommend? I'd recommend the Series! Would I read the next book in the series?Yes, when's it available? Would I read other work by J.A. Belfield? Definitely! One word description for the book? Exceptional!

WOW, I love my pack! Yes, after spending so much time with the Holloway pack, I will claim them as mine. Although, I am willing to share because they are so amazing and fabulous, you MUST read their stories!

This story picks up a few months after Resonance leaves off, except it continues from Ethan’s point of view. Ethan is the humongous, gorgeous older brother of Sean Holloway. Our story starts with a mystery- another missing person report. Only this one, Ethan has a personal connection to. As the story progresses, Ethan and Kyle end up in way over their heads. Enter some amazing, talented new allies and the story just gets better and better.

Ms. Belfield had my emotions all over the place with this story. The dialogue was so witty; ‘laugh out loud’ funny in parts. I wanted to bang my head over something that was so obvious, but the “boys” just didn’t get. You will feel their unbearable pain and their amazed joy. I was on the edge of my seat with worry for the characters I have grown to love as they battle this new threat to their existence. I couldn’t put this book down!

Ummm, I couldn’t wait. The minute I got that email with my ARC copy, I seriously put almost everything on hold! I NEEDED it. I’m still trying to get Ethan to go on a date with me, and I’ve read this book twice. I have no hope, but I won’t give up yet! :) I knew it would be both different, and just as amazing, as the others in the series, because it’s not Jem’s point of view anymore, it’s ETHAN! Dude, it could be the most horrible book and I’d love it, because I LOVE ETHAN! Who doesn’t? LOL So, now, we get to see the interior of the one we only ever get to see the exterior for. I mean the outside is all HAWT PIECE, but the inside is just as awesome. :) He never talks enough to let anyone see that though.

Ethan is what every beautiful bad boy werewolf is. He’s alpha in his own right. He’s smart. He’s sometimes a crazy martyr, but it’s always for the good of others, even when it’s not. LOL He’s loyal, to a fault, he’s determined, he’s sexy as hell! AND HE CAN COOK!!! LOL I LURV HIM! :) Damn him for finding a lady to replace me hahahaha I got to know even more of him. I now understand why he says the things he does, or doesn’t. And why he acts the way he acts, even when it seems like he’s the biggest jerk of all, he’s a big softy on the inside. He’s literally going to sacrifice himself for a newbie, and yet he feels resposible, especially when he finds out the real reason all of these people were kidnapped.

All the other characters are still there and I loved that, because you get to see them from Ethan’s point of view. How he really feels about his dad, Jim, Nathan, everyone. It’s an interesting, different aspect. There’s also some new characters :) I have a feeling I’m going to love them just as much!

Ooooh, the plot twisted so nicely. I mean, I can’t tell you, but oooooooh. LOL I was a little dumbfounded because it’s a dark subject and terrifying, and Ms Belfield did it magnificently. There’s some not so easy things touched upon, but it’s so well written that you couldn’t pry it from my grubby little paws! :) And though this is a continuation of the series, the world building is continuing. There’s new supernatural creatures, and road trips, and things are becoming vastly obsessive to me, as I want MORE MORE MORE! :)

I have some serious obsessions with werewolves, but there is NONE who come close to the writing of Ms Belfield’s. She has made a world that you want nothing more than to live in yourself. I want to meet and hug and eat with every single character. The bad guys are scary as hell, the good guys are awesome, there’s enough action for an ass-kicking marathon with popcorn. You will not want to put this book down. And yes, I know, it’s different than all the others with the POV, but I thought it was the perfect way to keep things interesting and us readers on our toes. Why not be able to learn about other characters from another POV. And who better to do it than everyone’s favorite sexy werewolf! I am not sure there’s anything I could say that would make it any more appealing if you haven’t already drooled at seeing Ethan on the cover! I am totally saying this one is so worth my rare 6 PAWs. AMAZING, PHENOMENAL, MAGNIFICENT… and I can’t wait for more!!! Ms. J, you outdid yourself with this one :) I bet it’s going to be so much fun now!

I got a copy in exchange for an honest review.

As soon as I got the e-mail with the ARC of Caged I knew it would be my next read. I just couldn't wait to read what would happen. And I was especially curious because Caged is from a different point of view than the earlier books in this series.

At first I had some trouble adjusting to the new pov, I knew it would be from a different pov, but it was still weird. Soon I got a sense of who Ethan was and got used to his pov. The beginning of Caged was a bit slow, I knew there would be danger and someone would get captured so I just wanted that to happen already, I also saw danger in everything and it was a little bit frustrating the characters didn't, but obviously they didn't know there would be danger. Another problem I had was that I didn't really feel the romance, only at the end of the book I actually began thinking they would make a good couple. I am not sure why I just didn't feel their connection and it is explained they already knew each other, but the reader hasn't read about this, so it stil felt a bit like insta love.

When the danger finally arrived I couldn't stop reading and when I put the book down I just kept thinking about it and picked it up again. The middle part of the book is really good and had that keep-reading-feel. After that there is a slow patch again. There is also this escape scene and it felt like everything got so slowly and I just kept thinking hurry up! Escape already! The ending came with a nice surprise and it wrapped this storyline up nicely. The ending was really sweet and it made me sad it was over.

In this book we get to know different characters better than in the previous books. Because of the different pov I got a much better idea of who Ethan was and what kind of person he is. We also get more information about Josh and Nathan. And I liked seeing Jem from another perspective. There are also some new great characters we meet in this book, I really liked Lauren and Brook. Both are great characters and I instantly liked them.

This book also broadens the world again. New supernatural races are introduced and the danger ofcourse. I liked learning more about the world, but I would've liked learning even more. There are some loose ends that aren't explained enough. And some background about some characters I would've liked learning more about. Also about some supernatural races and powers there isn't much explanation, although it is understandeable from the pov, but still I would've liked learning more about them.

To conclude: I really enjoyed this book, but there were also some parts I didn't like and some slow parts. I liked the different point of view, although it took me some time to adjust to the different pov. I liked seeing everything from Ethan's point of view and meeting new characters. There are some awesome new characaters introduced in this book. I think the middle parts of this book is the best, I wanted to keep reading, but I didn't really feel the romance. The world building is interesting, but I would've preferred more. All in all an enjoyable read. And I can't wait to read where the author takes this series from here.

Awesome! Better than Blue Moon? Totally different (yet the same)... like choosing between icecream flavors.

In my opinion, each of Julie Belfield’s books has gotten stronger. That’s rare praise coming from me as often I find the second, and especially the third, book weaker in some series. Not so with Caged. I won’t say I liked it better than Blue Moon. I LOVED that story, but this one is so different it’s hard to compare. There is plenty of action and suspense in this one, but unlike its predecessor, told from Jem’s point of view, this one takes the POV of Ethan Holloway, and naturally reflects his intense personality.
I love Belfield’s take on the world of werewolf shifters living among us. There’s never a dull moment. The pace flies as the author throws every obstacle she can at this poor hero. You’ll be flipping pages to see what happens to Ethan next. I was rooting for (and wondering if he could) save his own life, rescue other pack members and maybe even win the heart of a girl in the end.
Can any girl resist Ethan?

This was the first book of the series I've read, and I have to say that I absolutely enjoyed reading it! Caged was action packed and held my interest, there definitely wasn't one boring part in this book. I like the slight romantic aspect, though could've always taken a little more. Ethan is the large, brooding older brother in the Holloway pack. The story starts with Ethan investigating another missing persons case, but this one touches a little closer to home.

As Ethan and Kyle investigate they stumble upon trouble and find themselves in deep trouble. The new characters that the duo meet help them solve this mystery and get everyone safe. But some mistakes cannot be undone!

I will definitely read the previous books in this series, its a werewolf paranormal series with some angsty romance mixed in! I love Belfield's writing, the plot and how fast this book flew by!

Caged is yet another great installment in the Holloway Pack series.

J.A. Belfield is so good at making you fall for her characters. Ethan was loveable in previous books in the series, but in Caged you are really able to get in his head. You feel his confusion over a potential relationship, his termoil and desperation in a very bad situation, and his love and loyalty towards his packmates.

If you're looking for a wolfy series with mystery, action, romance, hot werewolves (of course), and so much more then definitely check out the Holloway Pack books.

I've been waiting for this one.... oh have I been waiting. I saw this one in its infancy and couldn't wait to see how it turned out. I wasn't disappointed. Ethan might be a big ass sometimes but he's a good guy at heart. It was good to see him settle down so to speak. The book has me wondering about a certain vampire they never found...hmmm.

I wouldn't mind seeing something to show a little of Ethan's past since he has this reputation in the book yet I don't recall any show of it in the previous installments. Basically, I'm sniffing around for a novella of Ethan's past....please?

Wow, was this worth the wait? Hell yes! I was finally allowed inside Ethan’s head. I love Sean, but Ethan’s right up there now too :0)

I loved that we were allowed to meet more of the pack - this didn’t disappoint.

Now my wait begins for the fourth book, Unnatural – if you haven’t done so already, I urge you to go check out the cover and blurb – the anticipation might just help the wait!

If you love werewolves, this is one for you – go immerse yourself in their world!

If you love werewolves, action, suspense, and some romance then “The Holloway Pack” is a must read series. “Caged” is book 3 and we finally get a look inside Ethan's head. I have loved Ethan from the very beginning and I was definitely not disappointed with this book.
The plot is strong, easy to follow, and hard to put down. This full length novel is easy to get lost in because the author creates such a captivating world.

I can't wait for the next book to see what happens next!

I'm seriously always excited for more Holloway Pack books or novellas...or anything Holloway Pack related really, but I've been EAGERLY anticipating Caged as soon as I discovered it was Ethan's story, and I have to say that it definitely didn't disappoint! It was quite a bit different than the other books in the series because they're about Sean and Jem and are mostly from Jem's POV, but it was a really, really, REALLY good kind of different! I loved getting to learn about Ethan and seeing all of the layers that we didn't get to see through the other books. I also just absolutely loved seeing Ethan get his own little bit of happiness. :)

I'm gonna refrain from going into too much detail about the specifics of Caged's storyline so that I don't spoil anyone, but I will gush about all of the things I loved. As I mentioned already, I loved that it was in Ethan's POV. I think it's fantastic that we're getting to see more of the other Holloway pack members, and I love that we get to see it through their eyes rather than from someone who isn't in the pack because I'm just a huge fan of the dynamics and family quality between the entire pack. It's like we've already gotten to know the other characters through Jem and Sean, but now we get to see underneath the surface and get to know the real them...and I loved getting to see more of Ethan. He's a lot more self-deprecating than I expected, and he wasn't quite as invulnerable as he likes to project himself as. Ethan likes to project himself as a big tough guy, but he is so much more than that. We already knew that through Jem, but it was even better seeing it firsthand and I absolutely loved getting to experience Caged through him. I have to admit...I like him even more now, and I still think he's a total hottie. His lady is one lucky woman...I'm not even gonna tell you who his lady is because I want you to read it yourself to figure it out. ;D

Now that Caged is released...the eager wait for the next book, Unnatural, begins and I for one CANNOT wait to get to read another member of the pack's story. I love that the books are moving onto the other pack members, especially since we still get to see the other characters...I'm always a sucker for seeing past narrators in new books and I have no worries about not seeing the characters with this series, so I am one seriously happy fangirl. ;) haha

Overall, I absolutely loved Caged. It surpassed my expectations for what Ethan's story could be like, and I ended up loving the eldest Holloway brother even more. If you haven't started this series yet, you really need to. J.A. Belfield writes amazing werewolves and her books are full of romance, but are also shrouded in action. I also love that the stories are beginning to cover much more than just werewolves...I won't tell you too much, but with each book the supernatural world the Holloways and Larsens live in is getting much, much larger...and I for one am loving every minute of it. ;) J.A. Belfield also writes some seriously awesome female characters that don't just let the men do everything. They're fierce and fight for what they believe in! I'd recommend Caged, and the Holloway Pack series to werewolf fans who love romance, action and intriguing characters. I also think that you don't just have to be a werewolf fan to love this series. Everything about the series, from the writing to the characters and the stories themselves are just so well done, and J.A. Belfield writes with such passion that it's hard not to fall in love with her books. Seriously...you need to start this series now if you haven't already, you won't regret it! ;)

What can I say except this series just keeps getting better and better. When I first started reading the Halloway Pack Series I had no idea what I was getting into, not the biggest fan of Werewolf ( I prefer vampires) can I just say that J . A Belfield has proven me wrong about all things Werewolf related. At least of this series of Werewolf’s I am a massive fan. With each book as I explore this pack I enjoy it more and more.

Caged is mainly from Ethan’s point of view, how he fits into the pack, how he is protector of his brother Sean and his wife Jem. Ethan wants what Sean has a mate but does not see what is in front of him in the beginning.

From meeting Gabe and Shelly in the earlier books. It is discovered along with other wolfs taken from different pack in the area, other supernatural being are being taken along with humans and one night Gabe is take with his human friend.

This sets the Halloway Pack on a search for Gabe who has been taken by unknown forces and Ethan is especially invested in this mission as he has worked closely with Gabe as his mentor and older big brother or sorts, while at the same time becoming very close friend to Gabe’s mother Shelly.

Their is a deadly mystery to be solved by the pack as Ethan and the Hallway Pack are unable to find any traces of how Gabe and his friend were taken, The Pack are unable to locate a scent of any kind and have to do the searching the old fashion way on foot.

As they delve deeper Ethan and Kyle come across vampires who attack them leaving them wounded, instead of Ethan following his dad’s orders of returning home Ethan and Kyle follow a lead which turns deadly and both are taken to an underground compound where they are to be part of a supernatural illegal fight club to the death.

Will Ethan follow the rules and kill his opponent in the cage or will he make a stand while the human watch the fight to the death, only by reading this book will you know the answers to all the questions you are asking.

You ask what happens to our beloved Jem and Sean, again you will have to go out and buy the book I refuse to give spoilers but I will say Sean after fighting to the death gets a shock of his life from his beloved Jem.

Though most of the series focuses on the story of Jem and Sean, I just love the fact that the author has given life to some of the other characters. J. A Belfield has a real talent for writing about Werewolf’s and getting into they're minds not just as a human but also in animal form, she really sucks you in and you learn to love or hate even the vilest of creatures within her books.

All through the book you are cheering for Ethan to not only survive but to also find love and his mate. You want to kick his ass when he royally stuffs up and you're heart just goes out for him every step of the way. J.A Belfield has created Ethan as the ultimate protector not just of his mate who he doesn’t realise is, to his family and those innocents he meets along the way.

This book is filled with action from the start but delivered in a way that it does not overwhelm the reader and keeps them interested.

As always, the book leaves you wanting more and this one is no exception, I want to read more. I hope the author never ends writing about this series, they're is just so many more tales to be told.

I love it when a series gets better with each new installment and J.A. Belfield’s HOLLOWAY PACK is a prime example of that. I’m glad that I stuck with it after having given book one and two, 3 and 4 stars respectively, because following the evolution of this author’s werewolves made me better able to appreciate CAGED for what it is—grade A alpha meat! Ethan’s story is as riveting as his back is gorgeous, and Belfield’s mythology surprised me with its uniqueness which is saying something considering I devour novels in this genre en masse. This series continues to be shelved as Paranormal Romance but its very action-y, to the point that I’d even go so far as to call it Urban Fantasy. Tomato, tomahto—call it whatever you want, CAGED was awesome!

I really enjoyed the author’s twists on werewolves; she takes an unconventional approach to many of this genre’s go-to elements which helped to set this title apart from the countless others on my to-be-read pile. For one, I liked that Ethan’s protectiveness extended to everyone he cares about instead of the common mate-specific trait. It made his character’s alpha-ness all the more believable by playing on pack dynamics rather than on the over utilized insta-love. I also liked how Belfield didn’t just showcase the positive aspects of mate bonds. Jem’s pregnant in this installment and Sean gets to be the first man to experience the joys of childbirth. The woman in me couldn’t help but grin at that!

It was a real pleasure getting to view this book from Ethan’s POV; he’s very… surly, and likes to punch first and ask questions later. Watching him become the target of another supernatural race, and have to rely on more than just his brute strength to free himself and his pack mates was a great testimony to this author’s skill with character development. However, don’t go thinking that Holloway talks his captors to death because he doesn’t; there’s still plenty of werewolf action to satisfy his beast’s thirst for violence. I was taken aback by how little of a role the romance actually plays in this installment. Other than a quick horizontal dance in the earlier chapters, Belfield makes readers wait until the very last page for Ethan and Shelley’s HEA. Towards the end, I was beginning to seriously doubt whether it was going to happen at all!

The overall plot of CAGED is fairly straightforward, kind of a FIGHT CLUB meets Noah’s Arc type thing. Some interesting new secondary characters are introduced, and the author sets things up nicely for Brook and Kyle’s story in UNNATURAL. Being a werewolf fanatic, I tend to shy away from novels that feature cat shifters but after meeting Nicholls, there’s not a doubt left in my mind that I’ll enjoy reading book 4. I’m quite curious about Lauren as well, there’s a lot of mystery surrounding her character, and I’m hoping that we’ll see her again in a later installment. And, then there’s Gabe! I was so worried about him, but fortunately he seems to have survived his ordeal relatively intact. He was trained by Ethan himself, so I have high hopes for him too!

CAGED is more than just a pretty cover—this book tastes as good as it looks!

If you want to love werewolves, to see why they are some of the most splendid (physically and psychologically) species, then you must read Caged by J.A. Belfield.

Caged remembered me that for a long time the werewolves were my favorites. Forgotten somehow on the second place, because of many other fantastic races encountered, now, thanks to this author they resumed their place of honor.

That's because of Ethan, the main character; he is all that can be the best of its breed. Born and grew to become the alpha, he is good, concerned about the welfare and safety of its pack members or friends thereof, and he’s able to sacrifice his own life for them. That's leaving aside the fact that it is one of the most handsome and strong characters and apparently very smart. I really liked how he objectively and very funny evaluates his own limits and the way he accepts them, but at the same time seeking to overcome them. Oh, however, it must be said that although he is bloated with real, well above average qualities, Ethan is within normal limits of naivety when it comes to the subject of his love ... This naivety gives to men a sweet air of vulnerability which only advantages them and make us like them even more (or to want to give them a slap on the head to come to their senses and stop wasting time).

Although the premises are bleak, the disappearance and apparent kidnapping for reasons difficult to determine of some individuals belonging to different species, the beginning of the volume gives you plenty opportunities to smile from ear to ear. At least I did it. There are small dashes, a pinch of spices, but that will catch and make you to cherish the book and the characters. Unless that you loved them already from the previous volumes (which I have not read them YET).

Then the plot thickens and we find ourselves driven to a world where humans and supernaturals found one of the most nefarious ways to collaborate. Put in a position to save himself, but especially those he cares about or more correctly all those who are captive, Ethan will prove he deserves our love and admiration.

And in all of this awfulness the author very skillful peppers the dust of humor, danger of death, hope and despair, secrets and unknown, and testing some prejudices (eg the hate between dogs and cats), giving flavor and offering to the reader a variety of feelings and tastes.

I particularly liked the fact that the romance is only the part which indicates what is about to be lost, emphasizing the despair, feelings of failure and disappointment that Ethan tries. The book’s action is centered on the suspense and the fight for survival. This is my favorite type of composition!

It looks like I talked more about Ethan than about the book in general, but he is the backbone of it, and I think we ought to have more volumes with him, especially since the author has opened the door to new and promising adventures.

I’m often reluctant to recommend a book or series, because, eh, we have different tastes, but I'm sure that the chances for you to love Caged (and the series if it's in the same style) are very, very high.

I know I love it and I put Caged on my favourite books shelf!

I’ll just start out by saying when I first sat down to this book, before I even pulled the first page on my Kindle, I had a nervous feeling in my gut. Have you ever fallen for a character, one you weren’t necessarily supposed to fall for because he doesn’t really have that big of a role in a story, but had so much charm and sexiness, you couldn’t help but become enamored?

Yeah, this is what happened when I read Darkness & Light. The star of the book was clearly Sean. And he’s the guy J. made so damn irresistible that I really should’ve been knocking Jem right off the pages just so I could steal him away from her.

Instead, I felt happy and content at the end of their story. One of those, *sigh* good for you, moments.

Why’s that?

Because I’d just been introduced to my newest book boyfriend, the brooding Ethan Holloway. The not-so-star of the book and Sean’s brother who had my fangirl flags waving full speed by the end.

So when J. announced that he’d have an ENTIRE book all to himself and that it’d be all Ethan’s POV I was both out-of-my-mind excited and biting-my-nails terrified.

What if I don’t want to be inside Ethan’s head? What if I like him always being the not-so-attached guy who always has everyone’s back? The silent hero in the background that you don’t realize has been watching you the whole time until you’re smack in the middle of a deadly situation and he’s all kicking some antagonist’s ass all over the page to save you, then leaving you with nothing more than a nod and a wink before he sets off into the woods for a night run.

I really should’ve known better …

This book is action-packed and chock full of mystery that had me turning the pages for more than just detailed descriptions of Ethan’s bod. J. didn’t disappoint with this story as there were moments that I found myself tense and biting my lip waiting to see how the hell Ethan would get himself out of some pretty frightening predicaments.

Ethan was … amazing. Like, I need to scour Youtube to find a guy with a deep, British accent just to imagine what it would sound like being sweet-talked by this guy amazing.

Tough. Protective. Wounded.

And his leading lady?

Well, yeah, I was a little jealous, but I gotta admit, I liked her.

If you’re looking for a great paranormal romance with sexy alphas, kickass fight scenes and some steam to top it off, you need to pick up this series! And okay, a little biased but particularly this book. You’ll not be disappointed. It has a great plot, well-developed characters and a whole lotta heart. At the last page of the book, I kept swiping my finger across the Kindle screen, desperate for the next scene, bummed when I realized I’d reached the end of the story.

Trust me, you’ll be one of the fiending females who wants to get Caged with Ethan Holloway.

This is yet another amazing journey into the world of the Holloway Pack. This time everything is told from Ethan's POV which gives us a chance to really get to know him and it also keeps the suspense at an all time high since we don't know what's happening with the rest of the pack, which totally killed me (in a good way). From the get go the suspense is crazy high; I held my breath almost the entire book! It's a slow simmer at first; you keep waiting for the inevitable to occur, knowing any moment we are going to be slung into the heat of it all. While we are twitching in our seats from the suspense, an incredibly beautiful --and steamy-- romance is interlaced into the story. Once we hit the major action of the story, it's an all-consuming, can't put it down ride! The intensity and frustration of Ethan's feelings really shine through and puts us right in the heat of it all. On top of all this awesomeness, we also have a widening view of Belfield's supernatural world and are introduced to some incredible new characters that I hope we will see more of in future installments.

Really, my only complaint was in the ending where the irrational behavior of Ethan's new love is a bit much for me to buy and then their reconciliation could have been more romantic. Neither issue took anything away from this great book (hence the five star rating).

So to sum it up, READ THIS NOW! It's freaktastically awesome!

Disclaimer: I had no experience with the preceding Holloway Pack stories before reading my advanced reader copy of “Caged”, and I dislike sex scenes and profanity. Those obstacles aside, however, I did enjoy the book. Ethan is largely to thank for that.

I’m happy to say that the hype I’d heard from those who’d met him before me has not proven groundless. Ethan’s fun and loyal (not to mention British and a werewolf, both of which score “coolness factor” points with me), and his heroic heart had me rooting for him every painful step of the way. (Belfield puts him through the wringer, folks – which, from an authorial standpoint, I applaud.)

I was on friendly terms with much of the supporting cast, too; even kind of liked one of the bad guys, while waiting for the good guys to take him down hard. Meanwhile, the novel’s suspense had me wishing I had the time to read it faster than I did. How am I supposed to go merrily about my business when the likes of Ethan are in dire straits??

If you like werewolf stories for grownups, then I recommend you read this one. You should one-up me, even, by first reading the Holloway Pack stories that come before it.

This book kept me from getting anything else done all afternoon – that is how engrossed I became in the action. I LOVED Ethan, big, strong, loyal, and smart; he is a hero through and through. Even under the direst circumstance he never lost sight of his plan and worked to implement the salvation of an entire group of captives. The suspense was woven throughout the tale in such a way that I almost felt the pain and desperation of being forced to become ruthless and unfeeling; doing the unthinkable at the whim of a despicable and corrupt, but powerful, cabal.

It was easy for me to get carried away, caught up in this story, and whisked into a world similar to ours, but with all manner of supernatural creatures. This is the first Holloway pack I have read but not the last. I just picked up Blue Moon and cannot wait to dive into that story.

This book was given to me by the author and publisher in exchange for my honest review.

I had the honor of winning Julie's own printed ARC of Caged, which came with red notes in the sidebar, which made this an even better read!

Dare I say I loved Ethan even more than Sean? Yes I do!

It's hot, it's exciting, it's fun, it's action-packed, it's my favorite Hollow Pack Story so far!

I devoured this book, I had to go grocery shopping once, but other than that I read it in one sitting/laying/sitting again (etc, you readers know what I mean!)

Ethan

We finally get his story. Though I have to say that I was surprised who it was. I love how protective Ethan is.
I really liked the secondary characters as well and hope that some make an appearance in the future.
And I just have to say that Sean is very strong considering what he goes through in this story.

There were so many things about this book that just grated on me. I'm not sure why, when I enjoyed the previous books... but this one was like fingernails on a chalkboard. I tried to keep pressing ahead, but ended up throwing in the towel.

This will be the shortest review in history. Those 5 stars come for one and only one reason.

Ethan.

Enough said.

Firstly I have to admit that this book has been sitting in my 'to read' books for quite some time, since I downloaded it when it was free. I really wish I had read it sooner.

It is a well-written book with likable, consistent characters. The dialogue is realistic as is the interaction between the characters.

I particularly enjoyed the fact that this book was set in England and that the author is English. I read so many books that are American, set in America, written by American authors and full of 'Americanisms'. This book has been an absolute joy to read. I really enjoyed the humour, the sarcastic wit is just my style.

I will now read the Holloway Pack series from the beginning and work my way through. I will probably read this book again just to revisit Ethan.

Amazing series

Of course I'd love Ethan's book!! He's been so deserving of his HEA and I'm so glad he got it with this book. I only wish I would have gotten to know Shelley more as she's not a big player in the story. Hopefully I'll get that with cameo appearances in future reads.

This book didn't interest me like the other books did. There were some good parts but just not enough for me to love the book.
