Sounds like the foolproof plan? Wait until Taylor gets a late night lesson in seduction After Class and realizes, it's not just the perfect grade that she is after.
Genre : New Adult Romance with a Sexy Erotic Twist
I'm Ella Morris and I am a mother of two beautiful baby girls. When I'm not pursing my greatest passion of writing, I can usually be found playing house, or being out in the garden with the company of my furry friends, Simon and Garfunkel - my two dogs. I am very family oriented and love spending time with those closest to me. I have a mad chocolate addiction and in my spare time, which feels non-existent, you can find me at any coffee shop trying the latest concoction with extra whipped cream.
When an author takes the time to write a story he or she deserves an honest view of that story. So what I am about to say might not please everyone but it is my honest view of this book.
Most of you will have read this premise before. Student stressed out trying to balance college work and college life, student has added pressure from home and an absent boyfriend. Student is being taught by Mr hottie professor, student is attracted to Mr hottie professor but what this story doesn’t tell you that is is also about cheating - different kinds of cheating.
Taylor Murray is meant to be the perfect student but Taylor Murray is stressed out and not meeting her grades. Her friends convince her she needs to party more and study less. After being convinced to “chill” she goes to a party with her best friend Nicole. At the party, Taylor meets up with Chantelle, another friend from her past. Chantelle is sophisticated, well dressed and enjoying life. During their conversation Chantelle divulges the secret of her success - she slept with her professor and that guaranteed her an A+ in her grades. Word soon got round that Chantelle excelled at this and her grades from other professors became guaranteed.
After leaving the party and in her drunken stupor Taylor decides to take Chantelle’s advice and she emails Mr Zakarak and propositions him and this what happens next:-
Taylor begins an affair with her professor (who by the way seems to be called Professor Carter in the synopsis). He is married, he loves his wife, his marriage is faltering but he wants to work on and considering all this he goes ahead and he cheats on his wife!
Chad is Taylor’s long-distance boyfriend. The talk to each other constantly and they tell each other “I love you” but Taylor loves Chad so much she goes ahead and cheats on Chad with professor Zakarak despite her continuing declaration of love for Chad.
Nicole her best friend who loves them and “lays” them cheats on Taylor with Chad. Taylor walks in on them and ends up hurt and in tears - but wait a minute she just got caught cheating on Chad when Mr Zakarak’s wife walks in on them but that doesn’t matter does it?
So you see where I am coming from? This plot did not deliver what it was meant to, it was weak and confusing and for me, it did not achieve anything except to relay that cheating is alright if you want to achieve your ultimate goal.
There comes a time when you have to choose between turning the page and closing the book. I closed the book.
Ok read but did become frustrating at times when seeing how immaturely Taylor would talk to anyone about serious secrets. Overall, I am glad it was a short because at times i just wanted to leave it unread.
I have a fascination of books about this subject - forbidden love, teacher/student. I'm fascinated by author's perception of these kinds of relationship and I love to see the way they are presented and I often feel like they are all very much the same and predictable, but this one is so unique to what I am so used to reading! It has a unique premise that pulled me in instantly:
This follows a struggling college student called Taylor who is quite the introvert - she is put under so much pressure from her parents that she doesn't know how to handle it; she prefers to stay in and study rather than going out and having fun - but when she begins to start partying, she feels the strain on her grades... And seeks an immoral way to bump her grades up. After talking with an old friend (who got into a prestigious college after sleeping with a professor in order to get a straight A average), she thinks it will be the best idea to do... But what she doesn't anticipate is the feelings that come from being around the teacher so much...
I have never read anything by Ella Morris before but I am highly pleased with her writing style; it was quick paced, interesting, highly detailed and it certainly was good enough to keep my interest completely peaked. One thing that did get me a little irritated, however: during the more raunchy scenes, the writing became a little too fast and the sentences were short and somewhat lacking detailed - as if she was almost frightened to delve into the subject a little more despite how it's one of the main themes of this book - I did like that she did include the subject in some degree (more than a lot of authors do)and I DID enjoy the scenes - so it wasn't that bad; I just wish that they were longer. That's what I'm picking at - the length of them, not the enjoyment of them. I loved them. I loved how the chapters swapped (though it didn't go Taylor/James/Taylor/James... it was kind of more uneven - though I liked this; you don't end up reading about pointless things that the characters are doing. I like how she added in the extra POV when it's needed; and I do like how there is bits from both of them.
I loved the characters - both of the characters were easily loveable and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about them and about their lives; at the end of the novel I found myself feeling very attached to both of the characters - it makes a change that, in a teacher student novel, I didn't dislike one of the characters. I love them both so much. I did have to question James' morals, however - he's married and he's allowing himself to fool around with a student; but that is something that is sorted (thankfully; I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the novel as much if it wasn't fixed) towards the end of the novel. I think it added a wonderful twist to a teacher student novel; rarely do you read about a teacher that is actually married! I found it to be an interesting twist and it really added depth to the novel and it definitely added depth to the relationship in this novel; giving me a sense of "shipping feels" because by the end of it, I loved them so much. Even though the novel was quick, lots happened - it was fast paced and never once did I put it down and think how boring it was.
All in all, this is a great book - it has a great premise, it's interesting, it's fun, it's a quick read and it was overall really enjoyable. Despite the small flaws within this book, it was wonderful and the positives really outweigh the negatives. The reason I gave it 3.5 stars was because of the fact I felt the main theme was rather rushed and needed to be expanded more. But truthfully, I am torn between rating it higher - because I really did enjoy it and it has become one of my favourite teacher student novels.
A deception for me. A lot of good ideas but everything is so easy at the end. This book need more pages , explanations, details about what they think...
After reading the blurb I was intrigued so I thought why not! Well I just really wish I never bothered now as it was written in third person PoV which I personally am not fond of as I feel like someone is reading the story to me, and find it hard to connect to the story. Then there is the fact that everyone is cheating on everyone! From wife's/husbands, boy/girlfriend and best friends!!! Does this really need to happen?? It is also sooooo unrealistic how the characters behave and react it's just ridiculous and the last scene at the coffee shop well what can i say confessing their love for each other after only interacting a hand full of times and two of those was to have sex is just crazy!!!! The worsted three hrs reading I have done in a very long time!!!!
This was a pretty cute student/teacher story. It is told in third person, with dual POV's. I'm not sure I was really crazy about the Professor, he was kind of wishy washy, and oh yeah, MARRIED!! His wife wasn't a horrible shrew that I hated either. Even he loved her and was trying to "work out" their marriage. So, that is why my rating is kind average. I LOVE a good Teacher/Student story, but throw in cheating, and I'm out!
There were great supporting characters and a great storyline, so the book was good, I just hated that aspect of it.
The writing was great, and I will buy the author's next book!
I found this book to be entertaining. It was also a very quick read. I liked the book, but I didn't love it. I felt like there too many trivial details at the beginning and the ending was about right, but Taylor and James' relationship just seemed rushed to me. However, I knew that Chad and Nicole were..... I mean, I wanted my gut to be wrong about that, but it wasn't. Overall the book was good and enjoyable. The pacing could have been better, but it wasn't bad.
Ummm... This book teach us to CHEAT & that it's ok ti cheat. It's like all over the book. Wouldn't want this to be read by teens today. Taylor cheated with her boyfriend Chad with her Professor. Professor James cheated on his wife with his student, Taylor. And Chad is cheating Taylor with her best friend, Nicole. And Chantelle is the one who put the seeds in Taylor's head.
You can find a different book that's much better....

I was torn with the rating of this story. I didn't want to give it a 2 because there are very good parts of the book. Taylor a college student who is working and trying to keep up her grades, also her long distance relationship with her boyfriend chad is failing . On advice from a friend she decides the best way to get her English grade up is to do favors for her sexy English teacher James. James is Married will he take her up on it?
I was drawn by the promise of a intriguing premise of student who wanted good grades ended up propositioning her prof. But the execution was bit lackluster and the sexy scenes were quite robotic and overall emotionless. Such a shame.
I enjoyed the story, but warning to readers it contains deceit and adultery. Neither of which I am a fan of, however this story isn't as tacky as others I have read. It had an engaging and realistic feel to the characters.
I'm a little doubtful when I first started reading this book but as the story progresses it's getting more and more interesting until I enjoyed reading the whole book.
I actually really liked this book. I found it funny, steamy and full of passion. I would LOVE for Ella Morris to write a sequel. Pretty please write a sequel Ella!!!
I really liked this one. First of all, it was epically hot. Second of all, it was well written, even if you could read into the story a bit. Overall it was pretty awesome to read.
The setting of the story had all the ingredients to be a great erotica, but the writer fails to deliver. There were too many things wrong with the story.
