I was tempted to give up on this book; the conflict was unnecessary; the characters were immature, and there wasn't much of a plot. The writer does have talent though but might do some planning before she starts writing. Her editor needs to pay attention to the story line too.
I loved this book. These Texas Titans are just great. I will be reading all of them. The romance and love connection you feel between the pages of the stories are just great. This book pulled me into the real life pain of marriages that break down and the fall out of what children believe they see. How there are always two side to a story. The pain of growing up, and the heigh school drama. How something great can be found in every situation. I really loved the part in the book when Kristen's mum said to her "the fact is, at the end of the day, the only person you're accountable to is the person in the mirror." This book just felt so real. The pain, the love, the trust and the longing to be healed. You have a gift Cheryl Douglas and I love reading all your books. I would recommend this book I really couldn't put it down.
This is a sweet series so far. Love the characters, a bunch of guy friends who own an up-scale sports pub chain. Their friendship is closer than family and it's fun to read. Men with hearts, compassion, and character are sexy and irresistible. Loved Kristen and Matt's back story. Their journey through life and their relationship were a roller coaster, but it was touching to watch them grow together. Can't wait for more from Cheryl Douglas!
I am loving the series!!!! This one is about Matt, who was bullied during high school, who helped Kristen with a math class she was failing. Now it is 10 years later and he still wants her. He hires her to plan an anniversary for the club. He just divorced a year ago and she was broke off her engagement because the man cheated on her. Can they make a go of it? Can they learn to trust each other? Beautiful story worth reading again and again!!!!!!
A quick and easy read about getting a chance with the crush you had in high school. Matt has changed a lot since high school and wanted a shot with his dream girl. Which he got.
The book had a good mix of drama and romance, and I loved Matt. Kristen was good but she took me longer to warm up to.
