I have been writing since the age of nine and studied literature in college. I have been a waitress, a bartender, a business owner and an insurance claims manager. I have also been an equestrian, sailor, and an almost pilot. If I had unlimited power, I would end animal abuse, stop terrorism, and balance the national budget. My fantasy trilogy (and ten year project), “The Parables of Ancient Earth” is now available. And my wish as an author is to affect lives for the better.

I received a complimentary copy of The Parables of Ancient Earth The First Scroll: Rephidim City of Reptiles, through Goodreads Giveaways. Anything you read here is solely my opinion based upon reading said book. This is my first time reading fantasy fiction, so I really didn’t know what to except in general when I started reading this book. In the first few pages I knew I was going to like this book. This is the first book in the fantasy fiction Christian trilogy about a boy and his twin sister in an ancient world. The boy is called on a quest by a tiny bird, an Olive Warbler, who promises to teach him true freedom, while his twin rises to a position of power but is imprisoned physically in armor as well as mentally by her counselor, Pterodactyl Eri. This book takes us through their respective journeys and we learn a great deal about them while they overcome each obstacle. I thought this was a great book, and I’m dying to know how the rest of the story concludes as well as how it ends. I would recommend this book to any and everyone, even if you aren’t into “fantasy fiction”. This book teaches us many lessons and makes one think deeply about a few things. Definitely worth a read!!!

i was lucky enough to win a copy of this book from goodreads.

Special thanks goes to the author.

I really liked this book. It's very different and you do have to get into a fantasy element and enjoy it. The story has been thought out and planned well and it flowed very nicely. It might take you a little getting used to in regards of "weird" names but overall, it is an enjoyable read. The characters are likeable and they carry the story well.

The author has described everything well and has really created an interesting setting for the book.

My only complaint is now i need the other 2 books to read lol.

I gave this book a 5 stars rating.

I really wanted to like this book, but I'm sad to say it just wasn't my cup of tea. I had to abandon it after trying for months to read it. However, while the fantasy element just isn't my style, this story was written wonderfully, with plenty of detail and adventure. You just have to like the fantasy genre to enjoy it.

Thanks to H.D. Anyone for the free copy in exchange for a review.

So happy I won the first book in the series, since this was a really good read and I prefer reading books in order. The story is about the adventures of a boy and girl, many adventures separately. Hard to describe more without giving too much away. It did take me a few different sittings to finish this one, in that it is a nice thick book (but no dont worry not longest books ever thickness).

It was a perfect rainy day read to put me in a different world and mindset. Very enjoyable :)

This was a goodreads giveaway book review :)
