Rate this book
Sister Mary Christopher's life as a nun wasn't remarkable, but her death is about to make a big splash! After she dies accidentally, she goes straight to Hell, where she does her best to turn the Underworld upside down. His Satanic Magnificence sends the "Holy Terror" on a mission of revenge just because He's BORED. She struggles through her eye-opening, and at times, sticky task, unaware it's been rigged for her to fail. She's also in danger of breaking the long-lost 11th Commandment. Satan's sure to be pleased...at first...but there's always Hell to pay!

"Shot to Hell" is a humorous story about how a nun is forced to revisit an episode in her life that ended up sending her to Hell. She becomes Satan's pawn, but somehow you hope it's all part of a bigger grudge-match between St. Peter and Satan -- with some Heavenly help on the feisty nun's side. The story is a modern screwball comedy, with clever sexual repartee and shockingly entertaining encounters with the living and the dead. Published by Short on Time Books, it lives up to the company's motto of providing a fast-paced, fun story that you can read in one sitting. I'd also give it a PG-13 rating, due to the combination of religious characters and sexual innuendo. But it's all in good fun! Definitely interested in reading more by this author!

A potpourri of disjointed thoughts with an honest attempt at an enjoyable read. A nun is accidentally killed and arrives down below, rather than above. To gain heavenly status, she has to redeem herself to Satan’s satisfaction. Oxymoron? The writer knows her Catholicism, which this reader appreciates. It’s the purpose/moral of the story line that I haven’t quite figured out as yet.
