A (surprisingly repetitive) summary of the GTD Method for efficiency in task management for work and life. Lesson: Collect, Process into Next Action (or Do if <2 minutes), Categorize, Review.
I'm glad I got this version as opposed to the full length book. After reading the reviews for the full book, I didn't want to waste my time with a lot of fluff. I feel like I got an overview of the book and didn't miss much of anything.
The GTD method includes some very useful productivity hacks, but of course, nothing in this field is revolutionary or new. Suggestions such as an "in" basket, the 2 minute rule, and a weekly review are discussed. No need for examples for these things; just do it.
I give this edition 4 stars for saving me a lot of time and agony. The concepts of the whole book, however, would get 3. How he stretched the book to be almost 300 pages is beyond me. But there were some nice, actionable steps toward productivity that I can appreciate. Save yourself the time, get this version.
