When Kate Middleton married William Wales in 2011 she became one of the most famous women in the world.
And Britain's future Queen.
With her easy-going charm, and natural manner, she took the world by storm -- and brought a breath of fresh air to the sometimes stuffy royal family.
But how did a shy middle-class girl from an ordinary background become 'Our Princess'?
In this concise, insightful biography, Irene Bell charts Kate's transformation -- and shows how fairytale romances really can come true.
She tells the real story of Kate’s life, and describes the highs and lows of her remarkable journey as she emerges from the chrysalis of a shy schoolgirl into a stunning young lady who has captured the hearts of a nation.
Kate has become a true princess for the people.
And 'Our Princess' is the perfect biography for anyone who wants to know more about the real woman behind the image.
Kate Middleton, Our Princess by Irene Bell Enjoyed this book about the princess, her earlier days of growing up with her siblings. Really enjoyed learning about the coal miners in her family's history and their struggles over the centuries to better themselves. Love her moms business and how inspiring it is. Never knew much about Kate so really cool to find out the locations she's been and why and all her charity work. Wish the book would've kept going with the family history once she married and had the first baby. Good read.
How many of us fell in love with the future Duchess of Cambridge, Princess of Wales, and Queen of the United Kingdom when we watched the wedding of William, future King, and Kate. (Did we also swoon for Kate's sister Pippa?) Thus, when this book was offered for Kindle readers, I jumped at the chance to read about Kate and maybe Pippa, too. It is nice book, nothing special. A week of special reports on Entertainment Tonight would give us the same information. What is disappointing is that there are no pictures. Irene Bell describes many of the outfits Kate wore for her official appearances, and, of course, her wedding dress, but we don't see her in them. This book was written almost ten years ago. In that time she has given birth to another child and has undergone treatment for cancer. I am praying for her healing.
Well the book aims at portraying Kate as next Lady Di. This ain't the case. To be honest I thought this book to excite me to know how she perceived the Royals.
Also the relationship twists and turns were too prolonged for my liking. Would suggest anyone to read a book on Lady Diana then on Kate. She wont be as famous as her mother in law.
Interesting and informative book that is also easy reading. Enjoyed. Sometimes it was a little confusing to follow the part about Kate's maternal and paternal ancestors.
Was good information. It didn't get really invasive, but at same time it showed how Kate is being compared to her mother-in-law. She is so sweet and love the groups that she supports.
