When Dawg Mackay made his four half-sisters part of his family, he vowed that he would care for and protect them with everything he had. But what happens now that the girls are all grown up? The Mackay girls are on the loose, and Somerset County will never be the same…

Lyrica Mackay has wanted tall, handsome Marine Graham Brock for as long as she can remember. Unfortunately, Graham only sees her as his friend Dawg Mackay’s “baby sister.” Or so she believes. The truth is, the fiery party girl stirs something in Graham no female ever has. But Graham, like everyone in Somerset County, knows that trouble stalks the Mackays like bears track honey, and when a Mackay runs as hot as Lyrica does, someone’s bound to get burned.

Then Graham discovers that Lyrica’s wild side is just a cover for a frightened and vulnerable woman who needs something true and genuine, something only Graham can offer. But surrendering his heart to Lyrica exposes them both to her shocking past—and a sinister secret that, once exposed, could destroy their only chance at happiness and shake the Mackay family to its core.

I first want to start off by saying I have and always will be a fan of Mrs. L Leigh. Anytime she writes a book I will read it because I enjoy her characters, most of her plots, but especially her steamy scenes. But lately with her last 4 or 5 books that she's put out from her various series have just been sort of Blah and a bit tired, this book included! When it came to the two characters they lacked originality, I honestly could have been reading any other Nauti Girl book. But I figured even if the plot isn't that good at least the sex scenes will make up for it because Lora makes BANGIN' sex scenes... Unfortunately I was left hangin' here too. The sex scenes were so so but I felt no spark that made them memorable for me like Janey and Alex, or Dawg and Christa, Mercury and Ria, Bella and Noah etc. I don't know, this book just left me wanting sooooo much more from it. The interference from Dawg and the others is getting old too, it's just too much and really unbelievable. I've never lived in a small town but if every time I stepped foot on a premise someone called my brother to let him know where I was, heads would be rollin. WTF is that, like let them breath and give them some room! Other than that it was a decent read, it kept me going until the end, I guess...

It's not even that the stories are horrible, its just that I feel like I'm reading the same characters over and over again no matter what series; breeds, nauti, Bound etc!

Here's an example, does this sound familiar; girl has liked guy since she was about 16-18 (give or take), Guy likes girl too but feels bad about it because he was older or her brothers best friend (or both) yada yada. They see each other one night at a bar or some sort of party, girl is probably dancing seductively to country music or some shit, guy gets hard and can't take it anymore goes up to her with intentions to hook up or scare her off, girls pissed because he hasn't been acknowledging her, they hook up...a little, after, they get into an argument, hook up again because girl just cant resist him (condom breaks, or no condom at all) then girl gets in trouble OR someones trying to kill her. Guy gets possessive and vows to protect her, girl doesn't understand the severity of someone trying to make her dead and she's still not happy with the guy. We randomly find out some past info about the character and how much of a bad ass he is. Then shit start hittin' the fan and girl does some dumb move like go to the Spa or go shopping because YOLO, gets kidnapped or something, guy has to come save the day, gets injured and doesn't see the girl for like a couple of days to a month until that day they see each other again and fall into each others arms professing love and utter devotion and have some Hot Steamy Sex. THE END
This is ALMOST every book recently that I've read from this author give or take a few details like breed genetics going haywire or a third person being in the relationship for sex...

This is just my opinion but I think Lora Leigh may need to just take a year off maybe more and just relax and come up with some new material instead of popping a book out every 4-6-8 months. I'm aware this would piss some of her readers off because they won't be getting any books for a while but I truly think it would be for the best.

Karia’s Thoughts and Highlights…
I don’t know how to say this without sounding a bit crazy…but I have been in love with Dawg since Nauti Boy. In his book, Nauti Nights, I totally and utterly fell in love with both feet over my head!

The Nauti Girls stories are about Dawg’s four half-sisters. I didn’t read the first Nauti Girl book, Nauti Temptress, but I jumped at the chance to review this one for Talk Books to Me! I loved hooking up with Rowdy, Dawg and Natches again. The guys may be older, but they still are as good as they once were! Being a woman in my 40’s, I love a man that is seasoned, been there/shot that, and knows his way around a woman! And the Nauti men certainly are all that!!!

Lyrica is Natches’ favorite cousin, and as such, has appointed himself her personal care taker. Translation: Natches calls in any and all favors to keep Lyrica out of harm’s way and that includes men’s lips. Generally, Lyrica doesn’t mind, since the only man she wants to get close to is the one she fell in love with at 16: Graham Brock. Unfortunately, Graham is her best friend’s brother (strike one), he is a “seasoned” marine who shares a lot of history with Natches (strike two), and seeks to wipe Lyrica from his mind by endless hook ups with whatever flavor of the month (strike three).

I liked Lyrica and her spunk (but at times I will admit that her stubbornness was ridiculous, especially since they were dealing with a trained professional hit man and her brother and cousins are trained killers!). Graham was a bit of an enigma for me…he sounded hot, sexy and alpha, but also brought his women home and displayed them for his sister and Lyrica??? That was off for me. I would have expected him to keep them at more arm’s length and certainly not introduce them to his sister, Kye. Speaking of Kye…I loved when she knew that Lyrica would be perfect for her brother and worked hard to fix them up (and on a positive note, their hook up meant there would no longer be flavors of the month in her home).

Overall…this one was good, but not a Nauti Nights good…sadly, I will hold all books in this series to that standard and none so far have matched up to my man Dawg! Enjoy!

What happens when your brother and cousins are all alpha males? Lyrica Mackay's father was a bastard who terrorized her mother and sisters. When her father finally dies and they find they have a brother who is completely different than their father, it's a new world. Lyrica isn't used to men meddling in her life, let alone determine what kind of guy she can date. It is ironic the man she falls for also happens to be a man not too different than her brother and cousins.

Graham Brock is getting cock blocked by just about everyone. He's had a thing for Lyrica for a while but he can't get his head out of his ass and commit. This plot device is now a bit old and used. Still I'm addicted and I wanted to see where it went. Predictably, the virgin protected girl demands to be loved right. The man breaks her heart. Her life is threatened. He realizes he can't live without her. They shack up and have wild monkey sex. Did I mention the wild monkey sex? Why is it wild monkey sex? Do domesticated monkeys not have sex? Or does wild mean crazy instead of "out in the wild" wild? I digress.

This book is pure mind candy. The women are a bit whiny. The men are thick headed. The men all beat their chests and roar. Good fun and no surprises. The sex was just "eh". Please note, I do read BDSM so when I say "eh" it just means it does nothing for me.

Not feeling Lora Leigh lately. I was trying to get back into the groove. Cassie's story in the Breeds is on approach. However, I just don't have the desire to read this one right now. I"ll see if I can get through the Breeds book, Bengal's Quest I have on loan from the library as well.

3.5 stars. Another smoking hot read in the Nauti series. I like Lyrica's spunkiness even if she seemed naively stubborn at times. Graham tried to resist her for so long but I didn't like the way he was so open with his "flavors" as he was trying to avoid Lyrica. The sex scenes, true to Lora Leigh's form, were scorching but at times seemed like this was the only thing this couple had connecting them.

I would have given this 4 stars, but I knocked half a star off for the ending/epilogue for 2 reasons. #1 - I believe that an epilogue should be about the main couple, tying up their story in a nice little HEA bow. This one was not, which brings me to reason #2 - it seriously pissess me off when an epilogue is used as an introduction to a new story and then ends with a cliffhanger! (And we have no idea when the next story is due out!) The epilogue should have been called a "Sneak Peek" or something like that. I swear that epilogue totally messed up my enjoyment of the story.

To be clear - the actual story is NOT a cliffhanger, but avoid the epilogue if you aren't interested in the next story or have an aversion to cliffhangers.

Chick meets bad boy and automatically there's instant-lust/love but they can't be together 'cause she's too young (18yrs) and he's emotionally broken yada yada.
Sound familiar?
What's a girl gotta do to still see him? Become best friends with the guy's little sister. (They're both about the same age, I believe.)
For the next 6 years, Graham will sleep with anything that moves in his direction while Lyrica salivates over him.
Then something happens that will make them spend time together and they can't hold it off anymore so they end up in bed.
Sigh.
Throw a few fights here and there. A few sex scenes (they weren't bad but I was so bored with the plot, I couldn't help myself i just wanted to be done with it)
In all, I didn't find anything impressive about the story. It's something I've read before with different names.

3.5*** I really wanted to love this book ,but sadly,I did not.The Nauti series is one of my favorites by this author, but Dawg,Natches, not so much Rowdy just overwhelmed this story with Lyrica and Graham as the main couple.I needed my book time with them.A lot of repeating going on.I mean really, how many times do I have to know than Timothy Cranston was ex DHS and how badass the "Nauti " boys were back in the day! Alrighty already,I get it.There seemed to have something missing in this book. The epilogue was a nice teaser with Zoey being accused of murdering Harley.I will read that one.I am curious to see if in the next book if LL will pair up Kye with Samantha, now that would be a first .

Mon avis en Français

My English review

I already had the opportunity to read several books by Lora Leigh, but I do not think I’ve ever tried one of her romances. So when I received Nauti Enchantress I was immediately curious as I really liked the cover. Of course, I wonder which book it was in the series and I discovered that there are several different stories related to this series. So if I understand it right, it’s the second book in the Nauti Girls series, but there are several volumes before featuring the Nauti Boys. And I confess that this volume made me want to know more about the stories of each character highlighted here.

We discover Lyrica, a daughter of the Mackay clan who is overprotected by her brothers and uncles. She is now 21 years old but it seems that everyone monitors her actions constantly. Yet since the age of 18, the young woman dreams of a story with the brother of her best friend and while everyone is trying to prevent this at all costs, it seems that the idea is ingrained in her head. Yet there is a big problem … the man she loves, Graham, is known to have a new woman each month and they’re always the perfect bimbos. So yes, even if something would happen, the woman knows that no history will be possible between them. Yet something is actually going on, something that goes farther and farther, but they both know exactly what to expect and the young woman does not want to be heartbroken. But if Graham decides she’s the next one, she is not sure if she’ll be able to refuse. But while she is avoiding him, it seems that someone is after her and wants to kill her. And while the whole Mackay clan decides to overprotect her whether from the killer or Graham by all means, everything seems more difficult than expected … mainly when the history of the two intensifies, and that the killer gets closer and closer, and nobody understands why Lyrica is the target.

I do not read a lot of erotica books, it’s not really a genre that appeals to me particularly, but that does not mean that I can not have a good time with one and this novel is the right proof. I had a great time with this story and discovering Lyrica was very interesting. This young woman is monitored closely by all her family and I confess that I do not know how she does not get mad by this. Oh yes, because she is closely followed! And while her interest in Graham is known by all, every member of her family is determined to prevent it. But Lyrica knows what she’s doing, or at least she thinks she does and she would like to live as she wishes, if only Graham wanted to create a true relationship with her, not to be the next number of months. While Lyrica shows a fairly strong front, rebellious and outgoing, she also has a softer, vulnerable side that is difficult to hide. In contrast, Graham is someone who can seem quite arrogant when we do not know him, but he hides many secrets that could tarnish his life.

Each character will have to make concessions in order to understand these attempted murders and who is behind it all. I confess that at the end of the story, even though I suspected some reason, I was very interested in what really happened. It was a very good story that ends on a cliffy and I admit that I am quite curious about the Zoe’s story now that we have a glimps to her own story.

3/9 - I've gotta say, there's a lot of sex in this book. Graham (not a fan of that name, it doesn't match the heroine's name or go with any of the previous heroes' names - Natches, Rowdy, Dawg, etc.) and Lyrica (not a fan of that name either, she sounds like she should be a fae from a supernatural romance) are at it by page 16 and, other than a short break in the middle of the book for a bit of not sex related plot, they're rarely in each other's company without something steamy happening.

I thought it was strange that one of the reasons Graham used for having to stay away from Lyrica was his preference for kinky, dirty sex and that Lyrica shouldn't be subjected to that (he didn't even know Lyrica was a virgin at that point), that his tastes might shock and terrify her. Other than a much higher than normal percentage of sex to plot, there was nothing particularly kinky in this book, and considering some of the other Leigh books I've read I was expecting that 'kinky' to be kinky (wonder where that word came from, I'll have to look up the etymology of the word 'kinky' now).

I was surprised that the older guys admitted to their Machiavellian machinations of their younger relatives love lives. Sure, the ones who've already been manipulated into falling in love with their perfect match can't complain too much, but if the guys' plans get out to the younger generations they could have a mutiny on their hands - children, nieces/nephews, brothers/sisters leaving Somerset in droves before their relatives can meddle in their lives. Rowdy, Natches, and Dawg need to be careful or they could have all-out chaos that tears the family apart. I know I would be more than a little annoyed with a brother, uncle or other male relative telling me (forcefully) what I could do and who I could see, at the age of 24.

Despite all that I really enjoyed the book and had it read well within 12 hours. I've put another of Leigh's books from the series on hold and made a request for the first in the series to be purchased for the catalogue (it really annoys me when they've got most, if not all, of a series, except the first book).

I struggled to get through this book. I'm not sure if I've been reading to many M/M books but for some reason these women MCs are coming off as whiny chicks who cant seem to live without a man.

I for one am a strong independent single mother who teaches my kids to also not have to rely on another person. So when I read about a women talking about how much she needs this man, who is a duchebag whore, I can't help but want to knock some sense in these chicks.

Graham was a man-whore who has a new lay every month and this idiot girl ALLOWS this man to have sex with her without protection. All kinds of wrong. He doesn't care enough to protect her so does he really care for her!?! If he is so quick to stick it in with gloving up who's to say she's the first??

The best friend asking her brother to seduce her was another thing that pissed me off. She knew what kind of man he was and she still wanted him to go after her friend knowing her heart was on the line and all in the name of 'protection', REALLY?? She's a keeper !!

Let's please give these women a backbone... I'm not sure if I can take another dumb-girl-falls-for-asshole-guy novel.

Oh my, how I felt for Lyrica, seriously her overprotective brother and cousins just get in the way of everything. Seriously, I would have run away or smacked them way before she got fed up with them, at times they were even so overbearing it almost ruined the story for me because, I wanted Graham and Lyric to get together to focus on their relationship without bringing Natches or Dawg into it.

In the end, I enjoyed this story. It was lacking a lot of the sexiness I’ve come to expect for a Lora Leigh story because of her family’s interference. I enjoyed the suspense elements and how they heightened the story and kept it moving at a fast pace. It’s also easy to see these two falling in love ‘quickly’ because they’ve known and danced around each other for years.

So despite my frustration with the overbearing family members, I can easily recommend this story, at the core it’s a beautiful love story between two people who are truly perfect for each other.

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Scholastic Siren - Sara:
*Copy gifted in exchange for an honest review

This book starts off with a bang, quite literally. It jumps right into the romance with very little to no set up. It is very sexy but confusing. I don’t know the characters, having not read book one of the series.

In chapter three, the characters have filled out some and the plot exists, but there is still no reasoning behind any of it.

The writing is great and easy to read. I just wish I had more story.

Lora Leigh has written lots of wonderful book, but the best has to be her MacKay series. With each book she brings wonderful characters to life. She reunites old favorites. And just makes you fall in love with the whole clan all over again. If you are looking for a awesome book look no farther. A must read!!

Second in the Nauti Girls subseries and eighth in the overall Nauti usually erotic romantic suspense series revolving around the original Nauti Boys. The couple focus is on Lyrica Mackay and Graham Brock. It's been a year since Nauti Temptress (Nauti Girls #1), 7, and some twelve years since, I think, Nauti Dreams , 3.

My Take
It goes on and on and on and on and on and… Yep, I'm trying to get the atmosphere of Nauti Enchantress across. How incredibly annoying Leigh is in having her characters drone on and on and on an… God help me.

Then Leigh compounds it with the whole "woe is me, I can't be trusted" thing, you know, the trope about how she/he deserves better. *eye roll* *ow, owww, owwwww, my head's spinning from all the eyeball rolling* This is blended in with the whole "oh, no, I'll get XX killed if I hang around" trope. The final nail(s) in the coffin were all the misinterpretations Lyrica kept placing on everything she heard. And if I have to read "flavor" ever again, I'll choke. As for Graham's conclusion that Lyrica will only be another "flavor", *I think I'm getting a concussion from all the eye rolling* Nor did it help that the sex was so formulaic…

Well, now I know why Dawg's sisters are all virgins into their 20s. I would be so pissed at him.

For all the bitching the Mackays and company do about Doogan, it's nothing to what Doogan says about them, lol:

"…working with [the Mackays] was like facing demented zombies whose main aim was the destruction of a person's sanity rather than his life."

I got a kick out of Leigh's, er, Graham's recounting of all the ways Doogan could have done better, lol. I do like that Lyrica is a jill-of-all-trades and works smoothly between all the Mackay businesses. I also like the sound of Dawg's and Natches' houses.

Hmmm, sounds like Kye is much naughtier than Lyrica realized. Of course, Graham is a much more easygoing brother too.

The cliffhanger ending was a pip with Doogan's charges. Seems he and Zoey had a deal until Doogan lied to her.

The Story
Lyrica Mackay has wanted tall, handsome Marine Graham Brock for as long as she can remember. Unfortunately, Graham only sees her as his friend Dawg Mackay's "baby sister". Or so she believes.

The truth is, the fiery party girl stirs something in Graham no female ever has. But Graham, like everyone in Somerset County, knows that every eye in the county (and surrounding counties) is on those Mackay girls, and when a Mackay runs as hot as Lyrica does, someone's bound to get burned.

Then Graham discovers that Lyrica's wild side is just a cover for a frightened and vulnerable woman who needs something only Graham can offer. But surrendering his heart to Lyrica will expose his shocking secret.

The Characters
Lyrica Mackay, one of Dawg's four sisters, is another virginal female Mackay who loves to write. Yeah, hard to believe "virginal" after the antics of the Nauti Boys all over the county. Eve is her older sister, married to Brogan Campbell, an FPS agent (Nauti Temptress (Nauti Girls #1), 7). Mercedes Mackay, the girls' mother still runs her B&B, and Timothy Cranston (former Homeland Security) are still lovers. Chandler Mackay had been the girls' father. Jed Booker, a contractor, is engaged to Piper Mackay (Nautier and Wilder: "Nauti Siren" (Nauti Girls, 1.5), 7.5). Zoey Mackay is the youngest and a passionate fighter.

Kyleene Brock is Lyrica's best friend, who happens to have a brother, Graham, with whom Lyrica is passionately, hopelessly in love. Graham had been an intelligence officer with the Marines. Garrett and Mary Brock had been their parents, the ones who died.

The rest of the Mackays
Dawg, a former Marine, is still absolutely in love with Christa (Nauti Nights, 2). Natches and Chaya Mackay (Nauti Dreams, 3) have adopted Declan. Bliss is their twelve-year-old daughter who confided a dream to Lyrica that Natches will faint over. Trudy is Natches' beloved sniper rifle. Rowdy and Kelly are just as happy (Nauti Boy, 1). I think Laken and Erica are more daughters.

Homeland Security
Elijah Grant is Graham's second-in-command. That wildcard, Chatham Doogan, the new assistant director of Homeland Security, is Graham's boss. John Walker, Jr., is Rogue's brother and one of Timothy's unofficial agents.

Law enforcement in Somerset
Alex Jansen is still chief of police in Somerset; Janey Mackay is his wife (Nauti Intentions, 4). Detective Sam Bryce is the new criminal investigator for Somerset. Shane Mayes is the new sheriff and Zeke Mayes' son; Zeke is still married to Rogue (Nauti Deceptions, 5), and they run an electronic security firm.

Tracker is an assassin who has accepted the contract on Lyrica Mackay. Angel is his second-in-command and trailing Lyrica.

Chloe and DeeDee had been flavors-of-the-month. Carmina Lucient is a guest at the B&B. She's waiting for her fiancé soldier, Kevin Davis, to come home. Collier parties are sexual free-for-alls. Jim Bailey is a private detective hired to follow Lyrica; he spends more time playing with his cell phone. Harley Perdue left town after a beating Natches arranged. Kenny and Lucy Tannley had been the foster parents Chandler forced the girls over to. Doctors Caine Branson and Giana Worth are the surgeons working on Graham. Salyer and Jeffers are the nurses.

Betts Laren had been an army intelligence officer. Commander Jimmy Dorne had been Laren's lover. Whit Chaney is an explosives expert. Bradley Connor has some computer hacking experience.

Catching up…
The Mackays have been busy business-wise as well. Not only the four main businesses that are now encompassed by Mackay Enterprises, they've added two apartment buildings, a pawn shop, and a convenience store.

The Cover and Title
The cover is white and blue. A white background with a hazy blue-gray "floor", and Lyrica in a sequin-and-blue fitted shirt over a very, very short jean skirt and matching blue high-heeled, platform boots with slouchy shafts. The font for most of the text is thin with Enchantress in a spiky script.

The title is how Graham feels about Lyrica; she's a Nauti Enchantress.

Lora Leigh always delivers with her Nauti series. She knows how to write hot and erotic stories that also have mystery and suspense added into the romance.

I liked Lyrica and Graham. I enjoyed reading the push and pull between them and their story. The only thing that was off-putting to me was the fact that Graham had so many "flavors" to keep his mind and hands off of Lyrica all the while she stayed innocent for him.

I really like to have epilogues that give me insights into the couple when the book is over with. I know this is a series and that the author wants to keep us interested so we will read/buy the next book, but I really want to see my couples have their HEA with a book like this.

Overall, I really did enjoy this book and would recommend it.

Ahhhh! First of all, the name "Lyrica" is truly a pretty name. Secondly, this book is so hawt, sexy and good, that I finished it in a day. I'm caught up in the Nauti Girls series and they have made me want to move to Kentucky and find my own government operative. The story is typical LL with the action and drama intense from the beginning and carrying throughout the book. A great addition to the series!

I love reading Lora Leigh and have thoroughly enjoyed every book of hers that I have read. The characters are people I feel I can care about. I am grateful however that I personally am not surrounded by all the testosterone that inhabit her books.
The Nauti Girls are a follow up to the Nauti Boys series and deal with the Alpha Males of that series trying to understand and protect their female children and younger female relatives. They find it difficult to say the least.

Lately I’ve been borrowing books from my local library, not realising they are part of a series. I was a little lost at the start of this book trying to work out who’s who and what their roles are.

Not a fan of the name Graham lol but the ‘romance’ between Graham and Lyrica was HOT

Can’t wait to read more from this author

Lyrica has wanted to be with Graham since she met him. Graham wants the one woman he can't have. He is with a different woman all the time just so he stays away from her.
When Lyrica is in trouble, she turns to him. He realizes he can't run from her anymore.
With working with the Mackays, they realize his past has come back. He will stop at nothing to protect her.

They've been crushing on each other for awhile, he not feeling he's capable or deserving of her pushes her away, until her life becomes endangered. Then all bets are off. Get to see many of the previous Nauti starts. It's hot and sexy but some items stand out, like who wouldn't notice his Viper?

creo que lo único que salva a este libro son las escenas eróticas, porque no encontré otra forma en que los personajes se conectaran, es como si el protagonista fuera un robot que solo le importa el sexo

This was a fast read for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it though. The characters from other books in the series intermingling to create an interesting plot line. And I really wanted the main characters to get their HEA. So, I was pleased to read it.
