Ghost Paparazzi

Rate this book
A glamorous movie actress is drowned in her hotel room bathtub. Jake, who is investigating her murder, asks Catherine to help him communicate with her. Catherine is a fan, and she's curious despite herself.

The actress is compelling even as a ghost. But she communicates with Catherine and Jake only in terse commands to bring her this or that person. She won't talk to them other than that, but as they listen in on her conversations, they believe they get an idea of her goal.

Meanwhile, a man Catherine knows (and distrusts) is hanging around the hotel. She knows he tries to take pictures of ghosts. That makes her wonder—are there ghost paparazzi? Even if there are, what can she do about it?

The 4th book in the Haunted Paranormal Mystery series and one of the better ones.
Catherine is a real estate agent who can see and talk to ghosts who have been murdered. Jake is her boyfriend who just happens to also be a police detective. They team up to solve the murders of the ghosts Catherine stumbles on which frees the ghosts from their earthly bonds.
I really, really like this series. All the books have been short but really held my interest. I was hoping that there will be more in the series but with what happens at the end of this book I'm doubtful. I would love it though since they are such quick and interesting reads.

I have to admit, overall this didn't have a lot of logic going for it. The relationships were bare-bones, the police procedure was questionable and the plot was all over the place—all things that needed to be stronger to make this story really work. I don't regret reading it, but I was hoping for a lot more.
