What would you do if you had all the time in the world? In the beginning it might seem like a dream come true, but Jetta Hart knows better. What good is eternal life when everyone around you dies.

As the plague destroyed her village, she caught the eye of a rogue monk who offered her protection from the death around her, but when she refused him, his protection became a curse.

More than six centuries later she has closed herself off from the world to save herself from the loss of loved ones who inevitably go where she cannot follow. She spends her days in a bookstore coffee shop biding her time, waiting for an end that will never come when she meets a kindred spirit.

In the aftermath of a terrible accident she finally shares her secret in the hopes of easing her loneliness, but there is more to her curse than she realizes.

D.P. Davidson enjoys writing young adult fiction. Her stories come in various ways and she is happy at every new inspiration. The writing process gives life to her characters, and she is thankful for the opportunity she has to share her work with others. She once jumped off of a bridge because everyone else was doing it. While it seemed like a good idea at the time, she advises against it. She has a knack for finding herself in absurd situations, so she's learned not to take herself too seriously. She has also learned to find the humor in her daily misadventures and has taught her children to do the same. She has home-schooled her four children for the last seven years, a choice she says is not for everyone. She has spent the last eighteen years trying to get a laugh out of her husband. He has yet to crack. She loves her dog Gus even though he's a big doofus and has attempted a garden every year for the last eighteen years. This season was her first successful attempt.

I received this book as a Goodreads giveaway and really enjoyed it. The story was well written, few grammatical/spelling errors, and I really enjoyed how it's a contemporary book with flashbacks to various points in the female character's history. This is definitely something that would be good for the proverbial scenario of curling up in a comfy chair, mug of hot chocolate in hand with a good book to read.

I won this book through Goodreads First Reads. I thought it was really cute. I read it on my breaks at work. It was a different kind of story which I liked about it. Something I had never seen before. The ending was amazing and something I totally didn't see coming. I would definitely recommend this book!

The idea was good, but he way it was written was too simple. I did not have a feel of the story at all. I was just reading a script it seemed.
