*this title was previously published as It Takes Two, Counting on Love book two*
Erin Nicholas is the New York Times bestselling author of over sixty sexy contemporary romances. Her stories have been described as toe-curling, enchanting, steamy and fun.
She lives in the Midwest with her husband who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books, her kids who will never read the sex scenes in her books, and family and friends who say they’re shocked by the sex scenes in her books (yeah, right!).
From the very first book I read by Erin Nicholas I knew I was going to be a fan. I loved her sexy heroes, her strong heroines, the humor, and the steamy fun. As the years have gone on, she’s given me that time and time again and yes, there are some books I’ve loved more than others but the fact remains they’ve always been good books. I was nervous when she started this new series but I thoroughly enjoyed the first book; however this book flat out floored me. I love that this book was about a couple trying to figure out if they should stay together or break up, that there was no doubt they loved being with each other but a chronic illness was threatening their way of life, that it made them examine everything about the 8 months they spent together, that it made them take a good long look at themselves and each other, and that they loved each other enough to let go when it warranted and hold on tight when needed.
This book kind of left me wrecked, raw, and weepy but it also made me so damn happy because while light, fluffy love stories are great…true love is about getting through the hard parts in a relationship and that’s what It Take Two is all about; getting through everything together, learning to trust one another, learning to lean on each other, and learning that together you can conquer anything.
Isabelle and Shane have been together for 8 months, well technically 6 months with Iz trying to break it off for the last two. They claim they’ve been in love for the majority of their time together. Their relationship is fun, spontaneous, and the sex is off the charts. But their relationship is also hurting Isabelle physically and mentally.
She’s been keeping a big life altering secret from Shane and she knows the time has come to tell him about it. She dreads it because she knows she has to change her life but she doesn’t want Shane to have to change who he is to be with her.
Honestly I didn’t think Erin would ever write another hero that I could love as much as I did Dooley (see her book Just For Fun) but in Shane she’s managed to do that. He flat out floored me with his acceptance, understanding, and take charge attitude once Izzy’s secret came out.
That’s not to say it didn’t surprise him, give him doubts, or make him question everything but the fact that he was determined to become informed, educated, and be there for her was a true testament to how strongly he felt about her. Izzy on the other hand is having a hard time accepting her condition, her limitations, and the changes she must make in her life. I understand her confusion and for wanting to pretend it would go away and I even admire her for what she was trying to do with Shane, but she forgot one big important piece, they love each other.
There was just so much that was good about this story that it’s hard to pinpoint that moment that sent me over the edge and straight into love but I think it’s when I realized that had Isabelle and Shane not had this incident to deal with that their relationship might not have lasted. They claimed to love each other but during their journey they realized that they loved the fun, the adventures, and the sex but they really didn’t know each other. Honestly, they knew very little “real” about one another and that stopped both of them in their tracks. They began to see how superficial their relationship had been and set out to really discover each other.
While I will always be grateful to the sexy fun that Erin Nicholas gives us with each book, I’m pleased that she wasn’t afraid to take a leap and show her readers that she’s able to write the serious side of relationships. For an author like her, writing a book like this took guts and not only am I happy she took that chance but she proved she’s more than capable and as a fan and a reader, I’m thrilled and just so damn proud!
Title: It Takes Two Series: Counting On Love Series, Book #2 Author: Erin Nicholas Rating: B How do you fall out of love with a man who’s all in? Isabelle Dixon never should have said yes to that first date, but she couldn’t resist Shane Kelley’s larger-than-life personality. Except now Shane seems determined to make their no-strings fling into something more. If she thought dating Shane was hard work, breaking up is proving to be much harder. Especially since she’s planning on making some major life changes that don’t include staying out all night, Jell-O shots, and a sex toy shop punch card. She needs a restful cabin getaway—alone—to gather her thoughts. And the strength to finally end things for good. Shane has always prided himself on being the good-time guy. Exactly Isabelle’s type…or so he thought. Yet ever since he suggested her moving in, she’s been pulling back. Thing is, Shane does everything with gusto—including falling in love. He’s not about to let her get away that easily. Even if it means chasing her heart down a crazy road to prove that no matter what life throws at them, they make a damned good team. Warning: Contains a strange road trip with several weird tourist stops, some hot sex in a car wash, and two people who are just crazy enough to be perfect for one another. Review: It Takes Two is the second book in Erin's new series Counting On Love. But for those of you who are familiar with her Bradford series, you notice many familiar characters making appearances throughout. I have only been recently introduced to Erin's works - my first book by her was the first in this series She's The One. I enjoyed it immensely, and after getting to know the characters I already had my mind set to read this one. I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the first in the series, but it was still a great read. During She's The One, we met both Isabelle and Shane and in this one we still have Shane trying to convince Isabelle to move in with him. Isabelle however is trying to do her best to break things off. We finally discover why she is so intent to do this - despite her feelings for Shane - and it has nothing to do with his ex as hinted at in book one of the series. I don't like to issue spoilers, and I hope this tidbit won't ruin the story for anyone, but I find it important to my review of the book. We discover that Isabelle is struggling with a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. I really wanted to bring this up, because it lies close to my heart since my sister has been diagnosed with this. It's the first time I have never seen this confronted in a book before, and it really opens your eyes to what these individuals suffer through - even for those with some knowledge of it. And Erin has really done her research - it was full of informative information, some of which even I was unaware of. It was also nice to have a book where a couple was already together - and struggling to stay that way. I particularly liked how Shane did have doubts about their ability to remain together against all the odds....I think it gave him a reaction that was very realistic. I also liked how he didn't expect to do it all - he confronted Isabelle about her denial about her condition. I thought the whole thing was wonderfully handled by the author. Including how Isabelle's diagnosis didn't only affect Shane - I thought it was interesting to read how the relationship between Isabelle and her sister, Emma, has changed since the diagnosis. Especially if you read She's The One, and seen how close Isabelle and Emma are. This one is bit more intense because of the whole struggle with her diagnosis, but there are some light and fun moments as well. And some hot, sexy ones too! Let's just say I will never look at carwashes the same way again...LOL As always though, you won't be lost if you haven't read the first in the series. Or if you have never read the Bradford series. The book is stand alone, but I think to get the characters fully and understand them it would be best to read them all. This isn't my favorite of hers, but not one you want to miss either! It's very well done, knowledgeable, and endearing story that pulls at your heartstrings and it's well worth a read.
How can that book be rated above than 4? Sometimes I really think that I am not looking for the same things as most other readers or that I must come from another planet to not appreciate the same things as they do. But I don't. That book is short - only 200 pages. But really painful to read. I almost have to force myself to get back to it. And I mostly do it because I am not sure what to start next. The female lead was an incredibly immature creature, with an inconsistent and blatantly stupid way of trying to handle problems. The male hero started as a shallow guy but confronted to a problem tackled it and tried to get better. He didn't seem totally realistic to me, a bit too perfect and too willing to talk about his feelings and such. And for a long long while, there was absolutely no communication between the 2 of them. The only way they knew how to do something together, avoid an argument, reconcile after a fight over nothing is by having sex. So there's a boatload of hot scenes, not bad, but a symbol of their poor companionship and ability to really relate to the other in any other situation. I wouldn't bet on their ability to build anything lasting together or with anyone else.
I was given an eARC It Takes Two is the second book in the Counting on Love Series by Erin Nicholas. It follows the relationship of Isabelle Dixon, one of the Dixon Diva’s and police officer, Shane Kelley.
Shane has been trying to no avail to get Isabelle to move in with him. He has pulled out all of the stops and will keep doing so until Isabelle agrees with him. What he doesn’t understand is that Isabelle is hiding something from him, her brother and most importantly even herself.
It Takes Two hit very close to home for me as like Isabelle I avoid the very same problems facing me on a daily basis. This book is a step outside of the box for Erin and I believe it’s by far one of her best books to date. That says a lot coming from a fan girl like myself, but she has written a book that tackles relationships both romantic, and family bonds and the power that secrets can hold over people and hold them back.
This book is HOT as well. I’ve always enjoyed Erin’s ability to build a meaningful relationship between her lead character’s as well as the steamy sex scenes but she has raised the bar with the addition of some unique locations and tasty uses of Kahlua.
The second book in Erin Nicholas' Counting on Love series and just as great as the first one. It came as a surprise I enjoyed It Takes Two as much as I did, because Isabelle and Shane weren't my fav couple at first, but that quickly changed. They were heart-warming, endearing and so smexy :-) Can't wait to read Book #3!
Wow, this was a great story. It has heat, but also so much emotion and romance you'll be sighing a lot. The characters are realistic and engaging. The story is intense at times, fast paced, steamy and so very sweet. I adored it all and can't wait to continue the series! Highly recommended!
This is the story of how to break with a man that you'll always love.....reason: knitting! Iz and Shane were great together but sometimes i just wish i could smack their heads together and tell them:" get real both of you!"
The interesting thing about Isabelle and Shane is that they were already a couple (granted, a no strings attached couple) prior to the start of the book. At first I was worried that it might be confusing entering their relationship in the midst of everything, but the author does an excellent job of filling in the spaces.
This book also kind of hit home for me a lot because Isabelle has fibromyalgia, which a friend of mine also has. I didn't really fully understand the scope of how it affected my friend until I read this book. While her situation isn't completely similar as Isabelle's, I saw a lot of her in there. What I also loved is that Shane (and to a lesser extent, the recently diagnosed Isabelle) doesn't know much about fibromyalgia, so I kind of got to learn about it along with them. And it's explained in very simple terms. I didn't feel as though I was being overwhelmed with information.
Also, despite the subject matter, this book is still pretty funny. I won't give away the ending, but it had me cracking me up.
Well the first book in this series didn't work for me for several reasons so I was a bit wary going into this one, but my fears were unfounded because I ended up loving this one, even staying up late to finish it.
In the last book we were introduced to Shane and Izzy's relationship and also her desire to end it. Well in this book she is still trying to end it but to no avail, because she loves him and because Shane won't take no for an answer.
The book and the journey to being happy wasn't a simple one here, Shane loves Izzy and she loves him but things aren't that simple because there are issues at play, hidden truths. Shane is the guy always up for a good time, making people laugh and Izzy loves doing that and keeping him happy but she also likes quiet, being alone and because of her diagnosis needs it.
When Izzy tells Shane the truth he feels hurt because of her deception and it is also a lot to process because since he was a little boy it became his identity to make things better with his humour but he can't do that now. In this book I really didn't know how these two would work things out but they did, with great difficulty and love and in this process made this book a good read.
Erin has done it again in the second novel in this series. I loved the story of Isabelle and Shane and their crazy road trip to love. It was such a fun concept to go along with their road trip together and added a bit of fun to their light-hearted story. I loved Shane's character in the moments he was in the first book and his undying love for Isabelle and not caring what Conner thought because nothing would stand in the way of his love for Iz. And the there was Isabelle living in denial from the curveballs that life sometimes throws us. I loved how Shane helped her understand and come to terms with the issues she was dealing with. Overall I loved the story. By far my favorite part of the book has to do with Emma's yoga studio and Shane. No spoiler for those who haven't read it but it was definitely a laugh out loud moment as I was reading and it was great to visualize the characters in that part of the book. So excited to share my review on the next book with Emma's story.
I love, love this series by author Erin Nicholas. She wrote an emotional, heartwarming and sexy love story for Shane and Isabelle in It Takes Two. These two had incredible chemistry and their struggle to stay together ripped my heart out. I could not help but feel the pain Isabelle was going through as she tried to deal with her medical condition and spare Shane of having to go through it with her. I could not stop reading as this story had a little of everything that I enjoy. I loved how Shane came through for her and showed his love and devotion. Even though there were a lot of serious scenes, the author was able to provide some fun moments especially the yoga scene with the guys which had me chuckling. I seriously cannot get enough and looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
A cute enough story, but not enough real development. The majority of the book took place over one day, and it felt like one long info dump with a few sex scenes sprinkled in. It was pretty overwhelming, and the whole spy thing was totally unnecessary.
I also wasn't really into either main character, though I liked Shane more than Isabelle, so it took me longer than usual to get through this book. The secondary characters didn't help much either, and instead felt like caricatures up until the end, where we got to see a more human side to them.
I did appreciate Isabelle having a chronic disease, and the way Shane jumped in to learn more. It's not often you see a heroine who isn't absolutely perfect, so that was nice. It would have been nicer if we got to see a little bit more about how they planned on dealing with it, so I can only hope to see glimpses in future books.
I was so lucky to be given an ARC copy of this book! Another great book by Erin Nicholas. The second in her Counting on Loves series! I love how she has kept the characters from her Brafford series and now added new characters to continue the lives and stories. Erin brings her characters and the story line to life. Once you read this book you will never look at car washes and cotton candy the same! If you have not read this series What is stopping you?
LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!!! It is definitely my favorite of the series so far. Shane and Iz were so much fun to read and although it had such a great ending, I did shed more than a few tears through out the book at their struggle to that HEA. I am such a HUGE fan of Erin Nicholas and I am so enjoying this series. I CANNOT WAIT for Emma and Nate!!!! 5 out of 5 rating!! :)
Really enjoyed this book. Loved how sweet and heartfelt it was. I think I need to read more by this author. Full review to come on Fiction Vixen Book Reviews
Wow! Just when I thought Erin Nicholas has done it all she proves me wrong. I'm just gonna put it out there. When Erin sets her mind to it she really gets to your heart. She can have you laughing one moment and in the next moment you are crying and saying things like "oh my God." Erin Nicholas is one of the few authors than can really bring it emotionally in a book. She gets to your heart and holds on to it. She is very enchanting with her words and makes you feel what she wants you to feel. A fabulously perfect writer.
In It Takes Two we get Isabelle Dixon's story. Isabelle is a party girl. She is one of the sister's who gets into trouble the most. She is fun loving and likes to party. Everything changes for Isabelle when she gets a life altering medical diagnosis. Everything changes in Isabelle's world. Shane Kelly is a friend of Connor Dixon's and a police officer. Shane is also fun loving. Shane is the life of the party and loud.
Shane has fallen for Isabelle. Isabelle once thought Shane could be the guy for her. However her medical diagnosis changes everything for her. She discovers her lifestyle must change and has to come to terms with it. Isabelle tries to keep her diagnosis from Shane which is a problem in itself. Shane doesn't give up on Isabelle and they end up on an adventure together.
Shane and Isabelle are perfect for each other. I must say when I read this book I wasn't expecting it to be this deep. Erin Nicholas wrote everything perfect. She did her research on the illness and wrote it perfectly. I really felt it all in this book. I cried, laughed and even had heartswooning moments. I was hooked from page one. Erin Nicholas had me intrigued and mesmerized throughout the entire story. As of now It Takes Two is my favorite of the entire series. Erin has opened me up to a new world that I knew little about and made me more aware and sympathetic to the issue. I really felt like I was a part of this book. I could feel the love that the Dixon's have for one another. Kudos Erin for this powerful and heartfelt book. Grab your copy and see for yourself why Isabelle and Shane are perfect. See why this is my favorite book. I've read this book now twice. I couldn't put it down.
I loved reading It Takes Two by Erin Nicholas, book two in her Just Everyday Heroes: Night Shift series, formerly the Counting on Love series. This is Isabelle and Shane’s story. Isabella is one of the fun-loving, trouble-making Dixon sisters who try to get away from the watchful eye of their older brother Conner. Shane Kelly is a fun-loving cop friend of Connor’s, who’s fallen for her. Before a medical issue can force Isabelle into changing her crazy lifestyle as a party girl, she thought Shane could be the perfect guy for her wild and crazy night. Six months later she is still seeking him out and can’t seem to let go. Shane Kelley has fallen fast and hard for Isabelle. He won’t take no for an answer after numerous requests that she move in with him. He thought their biggest obstacle was her brother Connor but it seems there is something bigger causing the problem; Isabelle is keeping a secret from him. Isabelle and Shane take a humorous road trip to see if they can truly make it work between them. Each stop, on their way to a vacation house, has humor, angst, trials and truths. There might even be a little fun game included in their adventure, not known to all the parties involved.
Ms Nicholas did an excellent job telling Isabelle and Shane's story, taking the time to let us see what it is like to fall in love, have life throw curveballs, and see how we are able to react to these situations in a way that will build our relationship rather than tear it apart. A relationship can be a good thing; it can even be the best part of life if we handle it well; which we may not always be able to do.
This wonderful story drew me into the lives of her characters, making me forget the world around me. I had trouble putting this book down, turning page after page, not letting go until I turned the last page, still wanting more and really looking forward to the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book to other readers.
I love this author's writing. Even when it's a trope that I don't like, or I feel has been done to death by others, when Nicholas handles it, I thoroughly enjoy myself. Every. Single. Time.
Isabelle and Shane are a great couple. I loved learning more about Shane, and his childhood. Learning about how his larger than life personality developed was handled beautifully. But I liked that he came to realise that a) it was time to grow up a bit, and b) quiet is good, too.
Isabelle frustrated me so much. I understand that it's hard to come to grips with such a major life change. I have friends who have been affected and they're still mourning the loss of their "normal" lives. But my friends have never been so casual when it comes to their diagnosis. And that leads me into the part of this story that didn't work for me.
My friends have usually had to struggle for years before finding a doctor who will listen to them and acknowledge that it's not "all in your head". Isabelle's diagnosis seemed rushed in that regard, and I suppose that fed into the idea that she could keep living her life however she wanted (even though she really couldn't). Yet it wasn't very realistic. When you've been suffering for years, been told just to "lose weight" or it's "your imagination", that final diagnosis is so relieving that you immediately start making changes in order to finally feel better. (The mourning comes years later.)
I'm all for inclusion in books, and I want to do away with ableism and ableist language as much as the next person, but it just wasn't handled authentically here.
But overall, the author is one of my go-to people when I want a good book. It's fun to catch up with old characters, and learn about new ones. The writing, dialogue, and pacing are all top notch. I'm so looking forward to the next in this series, and whatever Nicholas writes next.
It takes Two is the first book I’ve read by Erin Nicholas. It was also the first I read in the Counting on Love series, and I hate when I read a series out of order. The good news is that these books can stand on their own with minimal carrying over and lots of explanation to previous happenings.
Isabelle Dixon thought she could have a wild and crazy night before she has to settle herself into a new lifestyle because of a medical issue. She thinks Shane Kelley is the perfect candidate for the job. 6 months later she can’t believe she is still seeking him out and can’t seem to let go.
Shane Kelley has fallen fast and hard for Isabelle Dixon. He has asked her to move in with him multiple times and won’t take no for an answer. He thought their biggest obstacle was her brother Connor but it seems like they can’t get past something bigger. He won’t give up even when she seems to be keeping something really big from him.
Isabelle and Shane take a humorous road trip to find out if they can truly make it work between them. Each stop, on their way to a vacation house, has humor, angst, trials and truths. There may also be a little fun game included in their adventure, not known to all the parties involved.
I love the dynamic between the Dixon sisters, each with their own strengths and issues. Isabelle seems like a good mix of a party girl with a stay at home girl. She has to make some big choices with an unexpected health issue that hits her. She wants to hide herself away from the world but also loves being with Shane. Can she have it both ways and have them both happy?
Shane is the over the top, romantic boyfriend we all crave in life. Well maybe. He does go a little over the top sometimes but hey props for creativity. He loves Isabelle and wants to be with her all day every day. He knows she is hiding something from him but can he overcome the issues to make her happy for forever?
If you haven’t read anything by Erin Nicholas, what are you thinking? The Counting on Love series, which apparently is a semi continuation of the Bradfords series with brief appearances by some Bradford characters, is the perfect place to start. I haven’t read the Bradford series yet but I’m anxious to now since completing the Counting on Love series.
If you read the first book, She’s the One, you know that Isabelle Dixon has been trying to breakup with Shane Kelley who she has been dating for the last eight months. Shane is loud, the life of the party, and goes to the extreme with everything he does. He is a lot like Isabelle’s sister Emma. Isabelle wants to be like Emma and has been her shadow. But Isabelle found out awhile back that she has fibromyalgia and that is why she gets so worn out and has places that hurt. She has to slow down and not do as much as she has been, and she knows that is not how Shane can live. She hasn’t told Shane about her diagnosis so he has no idea why she is trying to break up. Isabelle decides to use her bosses cabin to get away and decide what she needs to do to feel better. Shane is determined to go with her. What an adventure they have!
I love this crazy Dixon family! It was interesting finding out why Shane lives the way he does. Isabelle is too nice and always wants to please everyone around her while ignoring how it affects her. I enjoyed seeing how the two handled their differences and what they could each do to have a good relationship. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read the book.
A heroine with fibromyalgia--finally! As a sufferer of fibro and someone who reads 180 books a year, I can tell you that a main character with the condition doesn't happen very often and this one is a first for me. Kudos to Ms. Nicholas for not only being brave enough to tackle the condition in her book, but doing so in such an extensive and caring way. She gave Isabelle not only the widely known symptom of muscle aches, but included the fatigue, fibro fog (brain fog), sensitivity to bright lights and the ever present threat of paying the price the next day for being too active. She explored the hardships that relationships go through due to the changes in ability to do things that plague the fibro sufferer. I don't think this subject could have been dealt with any better than the way Ms. Nicholas did it. Five stars just for that! This book didn't just deal with illness. It dealt with the romantic relationship between Isabelle and Shane with humor, compassion and heat. Isabelle's condition did require more of Shane than either he or she thought he was capable of. The "mystery game" that took place during the trip they took supplied comedic relief when the other may have been overwhelming. I really enjoyed this book!
When I pick up an Erin Nicholas book, I am confident I will be settling in for a fun, warm, funny, sexy read. I know I'll be wildly entertained, my heart will be warmed, my motor will be revved, and I will be incredibly satisfied. Often, I will also be moved deeply. And sometimes, I'll get my world expanded in a way I didn't expect. It Takes Two is one of those times.
It Takes Two is the second in Erin Nicholas's Just Everyday Heroes: Night Shift series (formerly known as the Counting on Love series). It's about Isabelle and Shane. Isabelle is one of the Dixon sisters, a fun-loving group under the watchful eye of their older brother, Conner. Shane Kelley is an equally fun-loving cop who's fallen for her like a ton of bricks.
Ms Nicholas tells Isabelle and Shane's story well, taking the time to let us see what it is like to fall in love, to have life throw curveballs, and to see how we can react to these situations in a way that will build our relationship rather than tear it apart. A relationship can be a good thing; it can even be the best part of life if we handle it well...which we may not always. After all, we're human. But we can make choices that help us keep the right things front and center. And what joy results!
A different take on romance for Shane and Isabelle. Instead of falling in love and starting a relationship, they are trying to figure out if their love is enough to stay in one.
Shane is the life of the party and doesn't like quiet or taking it easy, but Isabelle has fibromyalgia and is realizing she can't keep up with how they have been.
The author did a great job of making an honest portrayal of what both Isabelle and Shane were going through. Neither was perfect in how they reacted or handled the issues that arose. I was really glad this story was told in dual narration because I don't think it would have worked nearly as well if we only had one perspective.
I also love the glimpses that we get of the crew and ladies from the Day Shift series and, of course, Connor. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Isabelle had a one night stand with Shane, who is larger than life and loves a good time. Isabelle however has been hiding a secret she was recently diagnosed with a medical condition that requires more down time. Not being able to keep up with Shane makes her try to break up with him.
Shane isn't hearing it though, he doesn't want to lose her especially without a good reason. She decides to take a vacation for a week to figure out her condition and what she can do to manage it. Shane ends up inviting himself not knowing the real reason for the trip. It ends up being a one day trip with a game that was a little ridiculous and had me rolling my eyes. I wish it was focused more on the two of them without all the distractions of the game. I think a lot of this could have been solved with better communication.
Book 2 in the Night Shift series starts in an odd place.: the heroine is trying to break up with the hero. I don't think I have ever read that in a book before, so I knew this would be a unique story. I could really relate to Isabelle's struggle to deal with a chronic illness. Listening to her thoughts about it just made me go, "Yep. True. Absolutely." It was comforting to see that struggle on the page on such a realistic way. Shane's reaction was very honest, too. He wants to fix everything for her and has to face what it means that he can't. Along the way, there are some very funny scenes and some really hot ones. I love the way Erin Nicholas incorporates everyday things into her characters' sex lives.
Shane and Isabelle were a couple. What started out as a temporary fling soon became more than either of them were expecting. Could the secrets Isabelle was keeping tear them apart?
Shane never knew he could love like he loved Isabelle. When he almost lost her in an accident, his future became clear. She was going to be his forever. Unfortunately, Isabelle didn’t agree. Oh, she loved Shane with everything in her but could he handle what her future was about to become?
Don’t want to give any spoilers. This is a heart wrenching story of love and sacrifice. It is also a hilarious mystery, adventure story with lots of hotness and some interesting new uses for foods and carwashes. Just another day in the life of these Everyday Heroes: Night Shift guys….
Love this series so much!! This is the love story of Isabelle Dixon and Shane Kelley!! Two party animals who thrive on attention and partying must find a way to slow down and live a quieter life!! When Isabelle finds out she is sick, she tries to ignore the pain and live vicariously through Shane! Shane loves Isabelle but once he finds out about her sickness, can he change his ways and still love being with Isabelle?? This is the questions that Isabelle keeps asking and pushes herself to make life better for him. Maybe, though, Shane can make life better for her!! Don't hesitate to read this great book and great series!!
Shane loves to be the creator of any party, loves spree and loves Isabelle, but Isabelle loves all this in Shane and loves him a lot, but she keeps a secret that can change the whole life of Shane. When Shane decides to go with Isabelle for her rest trip He did not know he was going to have to know that she suffers from fibromyalgia and needs to change her life. What neither Isabelle or Shane imagined was that love works miracles, makes people discover themselves or find out in yourself or in people who love strength and faith.
Book Two in an awesome series lets us get to know Isabelle and Shane. Isabelle's got issues and doesn't want to get involved with anyone. Shane doesn't want anyone to get in his way of his pursuit of Isabelle. Izzy's sisters and brother, Conner, were introduced in She's the One, the first in the Everyday Heroes: Night Shift series. Really, really makes me want to go find Trudy's bar and hang out in Omaha. Wonderful character development and real life issues. I really can't recommend Erin Nicholas as an author to read. Fun, sexy romances! A great beach read or for warming you up on long winter nights. Awesome!
I enjoyed this book about Shane and Isabelle. Isabelle has fibromyalgia and she has to make some lifestyle changes or she will never get better.
