Incredibly cheesy with cookie cutter characters.

Disaster of a club, bad behavior all around, corny lines, an alphahole who's reformed and a meek sub that I could have beat up when I was eight. *rubs eyes* Overall, it comes across formulaic.

I've decided to review all the books in the Club Floggers series as a series rather than writing an individual review for each book. My reason for this is that I had similar feelings toward each story and they basically rated the same - 3 stars across the series. They are a collection of short stories, some a bit longer than others, with overlapping characters and set in the same club.

I was confused a little by the Goodreads list of the books in the series and from the best I can work out, the order should be:
#1 Vanilla Boy - 80 pages
#2 A Dom's Revenge - 22 pages
#3 Curious - 50 pages
#4 Beg - 31 pages
#5 Wanted: Two Doms - 23 pages
#6 Aiden's Training - 30 pages
#7 Two Dom's: One Pup - <50 pages

I basically read these stories back to back since they were so short. Overall I enjoyed them but they were a little too short for my liking. I felt that there just wasn't enough time to understand the characters and I really wanted to see more than just the sex, to know more about the men and what drove them and their desires. I felt it just skimmed the surface of the dominant and submissive nature.

I started the first book and had some doubts. Nash, the Dom, seemed to be a total asshole and I had no interest in seeing him win Paul over. However, as the story progressed he sort of grew on me. Throughout the series I struggled to become invested in the relationships (due to the short story length?)and so decided to just read the stories for what they were without trying to look for anything too deep or to question behaviours too much.

What I did enjoy was how many of the characters, both submissive and dominant, were from rock bands. I really like books with musicians! In fact I would have liked to have seen more of the rock star world beyond the bedroom or confines of Club Floggers.

These are stories definitely suited to someone who is looking for a quick read and to just dip a toe into a world of BDSM.

Now here's the part I wasn't too sure whether to include or not - the mention of price/value for money (which I don't usually get into). But I have decided to mention it as I know some people buy books on my recommendation and I think should be fully informed.

I got the first book free from ARE - which is fabulous so thanks to the publisher and the author! - and then bought the rest of the series. I am one of those readers with a compulsion to complete a series no matter what! All up, including the free book, I spent $12.94 on the books. They were priced at $1.99 and $2.99 each, and although the website had the word count for each story I didn't pay it too much attention. So although I enjoyed reading the books, I don't think the price for a 20/30 page book is good value. But I guess you can make up your own mind!

I now publish all my m/m reviews on my blog so if you want to see all my m/m reviews in one place come visit at Because Two Men Are Better Than One!

This is a story about an unhappy Dom looking for the perfect sub. None of the men he interacts with at Club Floggers do it for him, he is bored, and that lets him come up with a lot of cruel scenes for subs who vie for his attention but cannot hold it, no matter what they do. Then, one day, that changes and the story heats up with the steps of discovery he goes through – including a few surprises he had not counted on.

Nash isn’t sure what he’s looking for, but when he sees Paul for the first time he’s suddenly far more interested than he’s been in a very long time. He’s definitely one of those Doms who think that they have a ‘reputation’ to maintain, and he is not a nice man when he is in one of his moods. Still, I liked him more than the usual ‘I’m tough and cold’ type of guy. Maybe it was because, in the end, he was honest with himself and his new sub – while it lasted. The mistake of underestimating the effect his seeming devotion to a previous lover would have on his new sub was almost his undoing, but provides him with a real opportunity for growth.

Paul knows that he is a sub but, without any real experience, he's walking into a potentially dangerous situation. He knows Nash has a reputation for being abusive, so he plays it carefully. I like that he stands up for himself, and that he doesn’t let Nash walk all over him. When push comes to shove he rebels – and makes Nash think about what he's doing.

The developing relationship was interesting to watch – not as cold as a few I’ve seen, but not
overly emotional either. It still managed to hold my attention, and I ended up liking the story. If you like D/s stories where both sides explore new-to-them territory, if you enjoy reading about a D/s relationship with just a touch of feeling, and if you're looking for a short, hot read, then you will probably like this short story.

I own this book under a different title "Dominate Me" by B&N. I also own it in the Club Floggers Volume 1 under this title.

Club Floggers Volume 1 is not showing in Goodreads so I selected the individual books but it is available in AllRomanceEBooks.com. The entire Floggers series is available there and no longer available in B&N at all.

I was disappointed the new titles was not made a little clearer when purchasing (obviously as I now own 2 copies of this book so beware) but it wasn't expensive and the stories are hot, sexy and the characters very entertaining so I'm not going to complain too much.

I really enjoyed these books and look forward to reading the rest of the series that is now out!

I wasn't into m/m back in 2010 so missed this with it's original title but both title's suit the story well. I liked both the characters and the action well enough to have an interest in finding more from the Club Flogger series in the future.

The storyline and characters are good. However not only is it way too short but there were many typos, a few wrong words and severe bdsm mistakes.... ie: no safe word; no discussion of limits; Doms drinking; nipples take much longer than a week to heal, etc.etc.etc.
