This book is creepy!!! (Well, at first) What do I expect? duh!! It is a diary of a mortician's artist, so it should be creepy because they are dealing with dead people, but the book turned out to be so good that I wish it was longer. I love the way how this book was written,it is a short story but let me remind you that the story is great and is detailed in a good way, that you will see that the author does her craft very well, that she does not feed her readers a piece of crap but a detailed things on what an artist, who is beautifying dead people really do and what do they feel when they encounter a dead people. By reading this book you can say that what you are reading is indeed a diary of a mortician artist and you would be **amazedbells** on the things they do. The story isn't dull so it would excite you to read more, to know what will happened next. For the characters, the author was able to conjure a strong and believable characters for both H/h. I wished that the author have written more of Jason's POV but it's okay since i've got a glimpse of what's on his mind. And for my favorite character Mr. POE, (meow) I love you! And thanks for saving Morgan**hugs**.:) The story is UNIQUE, it will forever stay on your mind if you read it, SO please do and (I bet) you won't be wasting your time and money. #justgreat

An intriguing book worth the read if you are in the mood for mystery and desire. I liked the diary entries that Lori used. They added a sense of intimacy and enhanced the encounters that Morgan found herself in with Jason. Great reading!

Morgan Paris is a Mortician’s Artist starting her first job at the Maxwell J. Delaware Funeral Home in New Orleans. Run by Jason Delaware and his wife Mercedes the funeral home is being used for something other than funerals. In addition to some dark and shady shenanigans going on after hours, Jason is obsessed with his new employee and Morgan feels the same about him, but his wife is a major problem. In addition, their hearse driver and all-around jack-of-all trades, Jared Walker is acting very creepy and not at all appropriate. While trying to fight their attraction to each other and keep it from Mercedes, Morgan is also trying to figure out what is going on when corpses start to go missing and then turn up again. Who in the funeral home is disrespecting the dead? And will her snooping get Morgan killed?

I can honestly say I’ve never read a story about a Mortician’s Artist. I never gave much thought to what goes on behind the scenes at a funeral home, but it’s pretty fascinating finding out all the details. The mystery surrounding the disappearing and reappearing bodies is a good one and very creepy. Mercedes is a witch of the first order (and a whackadoodle) and Jared is a nut bunny. Morgan is interesting and her character is very in-depth. Jason is ok, but I didn’t like his cat and mouse game with Morgan. Especially since he was married. The way he treated Morgan just rubbed me the wrong way. If I had fur it would be standing on end in displeasure. Overall though this is an appealing read with a slightly unconventional romance and a disturbing mystery to solve.

I was kindly provided an ARC copy of this book. I will say that while i enjoy erotic mystery, when I discovered it was about a make up artist in a morgue I was a little worried it was not my cup of tea. Boy was I wrong! The setting was dark and haunting but that is part of what draws the reader into the story. You have Morgan a loner character who enjoys her job making up the deceased, but she has such passion for her work that you cannot help but look at her profession in a new light. You have her boss Jason who is unhappily married to Mercedes and who are both unique characters within themselves. What starts out seeming to be a casual affair develops into something much more. There is a lot of mystery and intrigue in this book, along with sensual and erotic expierences I've never read anywhere else. It gives a fresh perspective on eroticism which i really enjoyed. It is nice to read scenes and dialog which seems fresh and new and not the same old plot twists. This book does have alot of erotic scenes including some darker things like necrophelia, bondage, sex clubs, and girl on girl which may not be everyone's taste, but i feel like they were done in a way that made it seem more erotic and sensual than lewd. I had a hard time putting this book down, and when I was finished I find myself waiting anxiously for the next one!

Very interesting read, i enjoyed it, the characters were fun and realistic, and i felt that i was able to get to know them. This was a quick read, and enough heat to get the imagination going first thing this morning *and* hold my interest.

This book was provided to me by the author as a gift. Thank you very much, Lori! Looking forward to the next book in the series. :)

Morgan's Diary, Tales of a Mortician's Artist Mercy! What can I say about Morgan's Diary? Well, once I started reading it, I just couldn't put it down. The story revolves around Morgan's (the new makeup artist at a funeral home in New Orleans) entries into her diary. Morgan's new boss, the very tantalizing and very married Jason Delaware, takes a liking; or rather lusting for Morgan and the two begin a hot, steamy affair. Mixed with the really graphic and mouthwatering sex scenes is a story within a story as Morgan and Jason discover that not all as it seems in the world of dealing with the dead and Jason's neurotic "crotch queen" wife is at the heart of it all. There's something for everyone in this book and I, for one, was looking for my boyfriend when I finished reading it! Lori does a wonderful job at creating characters with some depth and does a damn fine job on the imagery as well (not to mention the mind-blowing erotic sex that goes on too!) It may not be for everyone, but I loved the hell out of it!

This is the book that started the obsession with this series . Morgan is a mortician's assistant She starts working for mr tall dark and sexy Jason Deleware . The mortician and also married man who's wife is just a little on the extremely weird side . Mercedes is well lets just say that she has some very unusual tastes . Won't go into detail but you will either like her or really really hate her .
I adored the characters in this book . Morgan is such a kick butt character . She is strong and sexy and adores the people that she loves . She goes through so much you just kind of want to wrap her up and hug her tight . . Jason well he is just hot , sexy and oh so brooding . You can't help but fall for him and his ways . Mercedes on the other hand is evil oh so evil you really just want to strangle her any chance you got .
This story has it all the mystery and intrigue and oh so sexy scenes . Trust me the sexy scenes well the good ones will melt your kindle . So you must read this book . Its hot , hot hot.
