LILLA KING: 30-something married marketing exec
LILLA KING is a good wife. She cooks, cleans and has dinner waiting when her husband gets home. But there's something missing. Something Lilla desperately craves, needs. And the one man who's supposed to provide it is completely and utterly clueless. But Lilla knows it's just a matter of time before things change. Before she finds what she desires. The one thing standing in her way? Her marriage.

A trip to the grocery store leaves Lilla unable to keep her fantasies at bay. One look at the beautiful man working in the produce section has her sneaking out of the house and lying to her husband. One smile from him has her buying push-up bras and dancing stupidly in the aisles. One kiss makes her question what true love is. One night with CASH VALENTINE reveals she isn't the only one hiding secret desires.

What if the love you've always wanted, dreamed possible, and craved was right there for the taking? What if you could have everything you've always wanted, if only you didn't belong to another?

CASH VALENTINE: 24-year-old artist and grocery store clerk
"I want to knock her love out. I want to pull it from her chest while it’s beating fervently and be slapped for doing so. To play. To rumble. Truth and lies. Ugly sin and the prettiest fucking thing I have ever seen." --Cash

24-year-old CASH VALENTINE has always followed his heart. A free spirit and an artist, Cash passes the time working in his father's grocery store. When not goofing off with his friends at work, he's getting grief from his dad for being irresponsible. But Cash knows it's only a matter of time before something changes. And then one day, Cash's world shifts, and he can't get the woman he met in the check-out lane out of his head. What started as flirtatious conversation with a muse, turns quickly into stolen moments with the love of his life.

But what happens when the love of your life belongs to another man? And what if that man owns everything your family has worked for?

What would you risk for true love?

KNOCK LOVE OUT is a new adult crossover that will leave you wanting more. Told from both Lilla and Cash's points of view, readers will learn first-hand what it's like coming of age, falling madly in love and doing so with another man's wife, while watching the heartbreaking erosion of Lilla's marriage as she runs into the arms of another.

Imagine a sillier Will from Renee Carlino's Sweet Thing meets a less confused and more fun version of Caroline from Jane Harvey-Berrick's book The Education of Sebastian.

Lilla is 38 years old, she works in Marketing. She's lost who she is and desperately seeks fun, passion and true love. She is in a loveless marriage with Adam, a man who she has come to loathe.

I want to strangle my husband and slam the door as I leave. I want to leave a box of pasta on the counter that says, “cook your own food and suck your own dick.” ~ Lilla

Cash is an artist moonlighting as a cashier in his family's failing grocery store. He's highly talented, passionate, romantic and kind. His father is clever and serious, his mother babies him and has a very hippy state of mind and he's a mix of the two.

You don't speak. You don't try to fix. You just cling. You just allow your clothes to become a snotty dirty place and you keep your thoughts to your fucking self. Steady and silent. Strong and just there. I'm here. I'm just the shoulder and arms ~ Cash

Lilla purposely seeks out Cash for an affair after an encounter with the beautiful man. He inspires her and she becomes his muse. Cash hates her husband and wants her for himself, but he is supportive and kind.

I loved this book, it would have been 5 stars if it was sexier, but I think the author wanted to put across the fact that the two were in love and not lust. There was also a lot of silly dialog towards the end.

The book is well written and poetic at times, especially Cash's POV, he's very poetic. It's a very pretty, fun, silly and romantic book.

Writing style: 9/10
Dialogue: 8/10
Characters: 9/10
Romance: 10/10
Hotness: 6/10
Uniqueness: 8/10
Ending: 8/10

My star ratings:
1* Complete trash
2* Waste of time really, but I carried on for some reason
3* Half decent, usually down to personal preferences
4* Could read this again, only a little thing is missing, maybe more humour or romance etc...
5* Would read this again and again, unique story, adore this author

This one is a bit hard to rate because there wasn't anything necessarily wrong with it. This was me during the first half of the book
 photo tumblr_m94sdla9qU1r0dna4_zpse211a255.gif

I felt that the first half the story was realistically written. There are many women out there that have felt this way in their relationships or marriages. Feeling unappreciated, invisible, and resentful. Did I agree with her wanting to have an affair no, but I can understand where she wanted to be noticed by a man. What woman doesn't feel flattered when she's noticed? I felt the author did a great job bringing Lilla's feelings forward.

Cash Valentine. He is passionate and selfless. He's a successful artist that works for free for his father's floundering grocery store. It is while working there that he first meets Lilla. I thought their time together was wonderfully written. You felt their passion, sadness, and hope. I enjoyed reading him almost teaching her to find herself again.

Then the during the second half . I started to feel like this:
 photo kyle-richards-responds-brandi-glanville-c-word_1__zpseaebd865.gif
IMO, the writing changed. It wasn't bad but I didn't enjoy it as much. I didn't find the humor funny and the secondary characters kind of annoyed me. Although they were also there in the first half, they played more of a part as the story progressed. The story started to lose me and I did find myself skimming when Heath and company came around. I just thought to myself why is she adding all this juvenile humor??? I enjoyed the more serious tone the book had in the first half.

Overall it was an enjoyable read and would still recommend it. What bothered me may not bother others. Plus I would recommend it for the first half alone. 3.5 stars.

Received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I had a hard time deciding on how to rate Knock Love Out by Pella Grace. I really enjoyed the first half of this book. You meet Lilla King who is married to a man who doesn’t see her anymore or appreciate all the things she does for him. Lilla is miserable, lonely, and barley has any self-esteem left. Enter Cash Valentine, the young man who helps Lilla live again and builds her back up. As much as I disagree with cheating you sympathize with Lilla and understand how she could have cheated.

I started to not enjoy this book as much once . I felt like it was almost a different author from the change. The characters became very immature and Cash’s obsession with Mariah Carey was annoying. The epilogue was told in Cash’s POV and was extremely confusing. It was very jumpy and hard to follow and I’m not all that sure .

****I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

I would actually give this book 3.5 STARS. The first half of this book I couldn't put down, the second half not so much.

I loved the main characters. Lilla is a 30 something woman that is unhappy with the way that her life and marriage has become. That is until she meets Cash, a 20 something grocery store check-out clerk/artist. She finally decides to take her life back and acts upon her attraction to Cash. I am not a person that condones adultery, but sometimes there are circumstances that enough is enough in a loveless relationship. Cash is there to give her a life back.

What I didn't like about the second half was that Cash became extremely immature, he seemed so colorful and mature in the first half of the book. I hated their nicknames L-Child and C-Child and hers for him "Love Lump". He started to remind me of Jamie Kennedy in the movie "Malibu's Most Wanted" it didn't make much sense, nor did his obsession with Mariah Carey. Also, the end of the book was so rushed and jumbled that I thought I missed a chapter or two.

Overall, I loved the premises of the story. This book has the potential to be a 5-STAR book with some rewrites.

I was given this book for an honest review.

Lilla King is a thirty-something yr old who is in a loveless marriage. As much as she has tried to salvage what is left, she is emotionally abused by her husband.

Lilla decides she is going to have an affair...she goes to a town about 40 miles or so away so she can find someone and not get caught.

Cash (Warren) Valentine is a twenty-four yr old who works in his families grocery store and is a talented artist. Cash is suave with women and he knows how to give them what they want.

This is a story where Lilla and Cash meet...leading to one hot affair!

I didn't love this book but I didn't hate it! I in no way, support adultery no matter the circumstances. Everyone has a choice and I think what Lilla did was wrong, but ended up making the right choice.

I loved Cash 's neighbors...the friendship and back and forth banter made me continue to read on.

The first half of this book flowed well...it was easy to follow. The second half seemed to be dragged out, then rushed at the end.

*******4.5*********

I received this copy of ARC from Swoon Romance in exchange for an honest review.

I was a little unsure when I first started reading it as I had read something similar a few weeks earlier where the main character in unhappy in her marriage and starts an affair, so I was worried it was going to follow the same format, and I wouldn’t enjoy it. I was so pleased that after reading the first few pages, I could see that I was going to prove wrong. I really enjoyed it, and I didn’t want to put it down.

I have said before I don’t condone adultery in any way, but I could see why Lilla is unhappy with husband Adam, and why she went out looking to find what is missing from her marriages. When she meets 24-year-old Warren Cash Valentine, simple flirting turns into something more when sparks fly between these two.

I enjoy the storyline, about self-discovery, love, loss, truth, choices, consequences. It had a bit of everything, drama, angst, twist, and turns that kept the story interesting love the humor I laugh so many times, music references, romance. The age difference between Lilla and Cash didn’t bother me at all, mainly because it does happen, and one of my best friend is happily married to a man who is 12yrs younger than her. You know what they say, “ age is just a number ”

Lilla and Cash are great characters, and I like the bond that they share. I could definitely feel the connection that they had. These two were good together emotionally and physically. There weren’t as many steamy scenes as I usually like, but I didn’t mind as ultimately Lilla, and Cash’s relationship was built on love, not lust, and I like that. Told from both points of views, which I was really pleased about, as it was the main reason I loved Cash.

So let talk about Warren ‘Cash’ Valentine at the start I didn’t think I was going to like him as he came across as cocky and full of himself, but after reading his point of view you soon realizes its act, he is so not like that. I can tell you now if I had a Cash working at my local grocery (Tesco) shop. I would be very happy, and I too would change my weekly shopping to a daily shop. Wow I loved this man, his sprite, his humor, his passion, the way he thinks, the things he says, and most of all his love for Lilla.

“Love’s greatest problem is the people who don’t understand what it’s all about. You want it all, you’re going to fail at love. You want a piece of the pie love is going to taste fucking scrumptious. Love isn’t your puppet. You can’t pull love’s strings. Love should pull you” ~ Cash

This book had great supporting characters loved them all well maybe not Adam, Cash’s family and friends were what added to the humor of this book, crazy and very funny. Special mention goes to Cash’s mum poppy she was a sweetheart, and I just loved her.

Overall I really enjoyed this debut novel from Pella Grace I like her writing style, I felt the story flowed well, and definitely pulled at my emotions. Best of all you know how I love my epilogues; well Pella knows how to write one that doesn’t disappoint. Told from Cash’s POV I loved it so much, so I had to read it twice, and it had me reaching for the tissues.

If you are looking for a contemporary romance book that is going to make you laugh, smile, and swoon then Knock Out Loved doesn’t disappoint.

Favorite quotes:

“I wanted Lilla to look into my eyes and find a new world. See herself through my lens. Her own truth. ~ Cash

“How the hell did I end up in the kitchen of a produce clerk, watching him make me a turkey sandwich? A toasted turkey sandwich. Can the man get any better” ~ Lilla

The sadness in her bright eyes. The silence in her screaming mind. The enigma that is really quite simple? A complicated happiness” ~ Cash.

Thirty something Lilla King has been living a stagnant married life. She’s married to Adam who does not acknowledge any of her efforts no matter how hard or how much she tries to bring the spark back into her marriage. She is only left frustrated, discouraged, and tired of his resentment.

Twenty something Warren “Cash” Valentine is working for his father in their family owned grocery store. The economy has affected the store’s financial status so Cash has been working for free. If he had his way, Cash would rather be doing what he loves the most, expressing himself through painting.

Lilla meets Cash when she walks in Valentine’s Grocery store. There’s some flirting, definitely an attraction and the some entertaining banter going on.

I so love love love Cash! He is self-assured, confident, charming, thoughtful and oh so sweet! He is mature for his age, but still knows how to have fun. Lilla is a selfless, strong willed, intelligent and passionate woman. I liked that she acted more her age, she was not whiny or without a backbone. Lilla and Cash were perfect for each other.

What I like most about this book is that Lilla’s predicament is so true to life. When someone can be in a relationship where they are just coexisting and eventually fallout of love. And the beauty of knowing, they can once again fall in, when the right person comes along. And age.....it’s just a number.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.

The premise of this story started well, a housewife looking for a possible fling and the cashier willing to indulge with her. Lilla was a woman who appeared to be neglected by her husband. She became part of his routine and no longer his wife and partner. There was no real explanation of how this happened or any real closure on their separation. It just kinda ended. Cash seemed to just be everything her husband wasn't. He gave her passion, love, and most of all, his attention.

I struggled with finishing this novel. The characters all "spoke" the same way. It became instant love without a real hardship to overcome, even her husband just seemed to disappear after a few pages. I just sort of lost interest in the story since I couldn't seen any real change or growth with the characters. The first half started so well, then the second half felt sort of rushed and jumbled. I think there is real potential here that could use some tweaking.

I enjoyed this story tremendously! It is such a fun read even tough we deal with heavy subjects like the end of a marriage and cheating. But the characters are great. Warren Cash Valentine is an artist that also works in the family business to help his father. Lilla King is a costumer from said family business who is very unhappy in a loveless marriage with an emotionally unavailable husband. She feels neglected, discarded, useless and unloved. Cash has a way with the ladies and his charms are irresistible ( at least to me they are!). Little by little Cash helps Lilla see herself again and what she truly deserves. I looooved their exchanges. I love witty dialogue and great writing, and this books has loads of that. I truly enjoyed reading this story and think its a perfect addition to anyone's summer read list.

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review...

30-something Lilla King finds herself frustrated with her marriage and with life in general. In her eyes it is the same every day. She takes care of the house, plans the meals, buys the groceries and then prepares those meals without any acknowledgement or appreciation from her husband. Every day he comes home from work and does his own thing like she doesn't exist and if he does comment on what she's done its always critical. She feels so alone, longing for some type of physical connection.

One day she finds herself in Valentine's Grocery contemplating the idea of an affair because she's so desperate to even feel noticed. This thought turns into a plan of action when she catches the eye of 20-something Warren "Cash" Valentine, the son of Valentine's Grocery's owner.

What starts out as innocent flirting quickly evolves into an affair. Cash not only gives her the physical connection she's been yearning for but also touches her emotionally, helping her find the way back "to herself" and eventually back into a life full of happiness.

This is the story of Lilla King's journey to independence, happiness and love.

Knock Out Love is told through the eyes of both Lilla and Cash, so for the entire story you are able to get a better understanding as to the circumstances in their lives and whats behind their reactions to those circumstances. This is an easy read and you will have no problem following the story.

It was hard for me to fully review without alluding to some spoilers so if you don't like spoilers then please don't read any further.

Unfortunately, for me, I had a hard time emotionally connecting to the story. I found Lilla to be a hard character to really even like. Don't get me wrong I can understand why she felt the way she did and even the driving forces behind those actions but I just didn't agree with them. I felt it took her too long to admit to Cash or even herself that she was as much of a reason as her husband was for the demise of their marriage. It would have been one thing if she had been honest with him about her unhappiness before engaging in an affair. I would have had more respect for her if she had chosen to talk to him and given themselves an opportunity as husband and wife to make things better before deciding to end things. I think it would have helped me to believe in the love between her and Cash.

I'm glad Lilla grew into an independent and happy woman but I was also frustrated with that growth because it felt extreme. When she was with Adam she wasn't happy and definitely wasn't independent and with Cash she was happy but maybe too independent, always hesitant to fully let him into her life and make the ultimate commitment to his love. Was she afraid she would lose herself again? If that was the case then maybe she didn't learn as much as she should have on her self discovery journey, because I believe you can have independence and still be in a fully committed relationship.

Cash on the other hand looks at life so simply...go after what you want, speak up for yourself and when he gives his love to another person whether it be a friend or girlfriend, he is all in holding nothing back. He had several redeeming qualities of a leading male character, but I had a hard time falling in love with him and Lilla together in any capacity. I never understood what made her his "Eden." It's like he was her life coach and had a relationship with her on the side. Why did he want to commit to her? What were the reasons he didn't want to be with anyone else? What qualities did she possess that made him feel complete? Those were all questions I needed more answers to.

In conclusion, I will say Lilla and Cash do get their HEA with everything wrapped up nicely, which is definitely a bonus and Pella Grace does a great job with her writing, allowing readers to follow the easy flow of conversation between the characters. I still think you should read this book for yourself, just because I didn't "feel the love" of Cash and Lilla doesn't mean you won't.

I have 3 words for you- Warren "Cash" Valentine!! I so love you!!! You are my new book boyfriend!!!

I am writing this review as soon as I wipe the last tear from my face. I want this to be fresh. This book I thought would be a roll in the sake for a woman looking for something she was missing. Wrong!!! So so wrong! I have read a lot of books this year alone. This book what can I say stole my heart & if any book is capable of keeping a piece of my heart right within it's pages this book will forever have it.

Lilla King a 30-something unhappily married woman who falls for a 24 year old grocery clerk. She sets out to find the spark that is desperately missing from her marriage & life. Warren Cash Valentine is an average cocky smart ass young man or so she thought. He is highly gifted and not afraid to live life to the fullest. Their steamy romance which is just suppose to be a roll in the sake turns into one man's wife becoming another men's lover.

"I didn't say I was happy. I just said he wasn't a bad person. You can be two good people who just aren't good together. That's the part you don't get." Lilla

"Lettuce know if we can help you with anything" Cash

"Attention customers, we are featuring a special in the frozen food section. With every purchase you make today, Mariah Carey will dance for you." Cash

This book sings to your soul or at least it sure sang to mine. It took ahold of me right from the beginning & just when I thought I knew it goes & proves me wrong. I have laughed throughout books before but nothing like this. Maybe it's all the music references & slang used throughout this book. I felt like I was back in Cali living in my youth being wild & free. I can't even begin to say how much this book captured me & held me captive within its pages. I stayed a willing participant just to laugh, sing & be free again. I could feel it really feel it like the light was shining from the pages feeling the warmth on my cheeks. My face hurt from all the smiling & laughter. Warren "Cash" Valentine I am in awe of you and can honestly say I fell madly deeply in love with you. You kicked Remington Tate to the curb. LOL I loved his bad mouth, his free spirit & how truly he loves. The relationship between Cash & his mom Poopy made me feel all squishy inside. It was really refreshing and love how he calls her Lady Bug. Too cute!!!! Cash's neighbors and friends were down right gut wrenching crazy fun. I have never highlighted so many parts in a book as I did with this one. I wanted to remember it all. I cried just knowing it was coming to an end and boy did I. It's over & already I want to read it again as if I had never even started. I highly highly recommend this book!!! It is so witty and down right hilarious. My favorite saying in this book is, "Ask me how many fucks I give." Cash
PELLA GRACE I love you for writing this amazing book! I really seriously just can't say thank you enough. Your witty humor was nothing short of Fabulous!!! I could really be friends with all your characters well except for Adam. Adam he needs a straight swift kick in the balls. LOL =)

How does one sum up a book such as this?

The book opens up where we meet the main character Lilla. Lilla is in what one would call a stand still in her marriage, and that is not by her choice. She's fully invested and at her husband's beck and call. Lilla does everything she can to get her husband to feel for her again, to remember the little things that "once was." Which shouldn't be that hard for Adam (her husband), considering she goes the extra mile in everything she does for him; she cooks extraordinary gourmet meals every night, cleans the house, grocery shops, and tries her hardest to be REMEMBERED. Everything she does is with Adam in mind. As for Adam? He's the kind of person who forgets their anniversary, and then proceeds to get angry that she's wearing a family heirloom necklace-whilst Lilla is cooking their anniversary dinner. To him: she's being reckless, to her, she's showing she cherishes the things he used to give her.

And that forgotten anniversary was the final straw. So, the decision is made.

"I want to have an affair."

If she can't get it at home, by gosh, she'll find it some where.

This is where we meet Cash. A cashier at the local grocery store she frequently shops. She thinks it'll be a fling and simple. But Lilla soon finds out he is no ordinary man; he's an extraordinary man. He's much more than a fling. He's an extremely gifted artist; he's kind and considerate; he paints her heart and soul with the most beautiful and swoon worthy words; he makes her think; he shows her you don't have to just coast by in life with your "significant other"--just because of a piece of paper saying you're officially married. And that equals trouble and perfection all in one.

* side note*: If there was one man that could walk off the pages and straight up in real life, it'd HAVE to be Cash. My GOODNESS. He is everything one could dream about in a partner. He's sexy, thoughtful (he draws flowers on Lilla before he makes love to her the first time, FFS), has the sweetest and dirtiest mouth in the world, he knows how to tease and please a woman. And then when it's time to tousle around in the sheets-- it's always "her first" and him second. And most importantly; he knows respect; he always remembers.

To end this: This book is "heavy hearted subject with a light hearted touch." You feel for Lilla and her whirl wind and unexpected journey in finding the girl she once was, and stumbling upon true love on the way.

This book is blissfully magical and the greatest thing you could ever immerse yourself in. AND it will ALWAYS make you remember to pay with Cash. ;)

Okay this book I would have given 5stars to! But my moral compass just wouldn't allow me (lol)

First thanks to the author for the opportunity to read this book.
I enjoyed it! From the beginning to the end. Wanted a bit more at the end but we can't always have what we want.

The book is about a housewife who's marriage is dull, husband doesn't notice her (I mean really doesn't notice her, what does she have to do other than stand naked in front of him) She does everything for him. He comes home and dinner is waiting, house is clean, everything is just perfect!
She does everything to get him to notice her. And then she decides she wants to have an affair! Okay normally I would say no, seriously work on your marriage do something, but this guy just didn't get it
So she meets someone, and boy does she meet someone! Hot/younger guy, who you would think just wants to have a fling with her.

But he takes the time to get to know her and actually helps her with her self-esteem (thanks douche-bag husband) and he falls inlove! Normally its the women that goes head over heels first, but....ya...

She tries to save her marriage but the husband just disappoints everytime!

I mean if he really loved her he would fight for her, wouldn't he! (Or maybe its just my romantic side coming out, lol)
Well don't want to give away to much of the story, but all I can say is... Pella Grace told this story like I think would have happened in the real world.
I believe this book is for those young housewives who is in a depressing marriage and husband is more consumed with work and doesn't notice you! Not that I am saying go out and have an affair, but sometimes things happen and you can't control where destiny takes you.

And if you can find real happiness with someone else then who can stand in your way. Cause if you not happy in your life then what is the point of living!!!

Definitely recommending this book!

Thanks for the opportunity to review and looking forward to more.

ANOTHER FAVE OF 2013

5 outstanding stars!! This was a book so not my style, yet it was. I was in book Heaven the moment I started up until the very last millisecond that I ended it. This is a book I will keep with me forever. This was an unexpected beautiful story of the constant dealing of life.

Cash and Lilla are two totally different people, yet very similar too. Artistic, funny, wonderful, loving, uncertain, lost, found, happy, and sad. They're two people who you'd have as your friends, because they're those people you'd want to reach out and hug or shake their hands. There's a strong bonding connection with these two, and you feel their magnetic zing pulsing through the pages of their story. It's addicting and glorious.

Learning about these two people, characters, friends, or whatever you want to call them, had me laughing my bum off or in tears at points. They share burdens and just life in general. These two function like normal folk, not the pretend world of fiction. Gosh I'm in love. Seriously, I need more. More more more!!

Holy mother of Lilla and Cash, I am a slave to your words. This book blew me away. Honestly, I've been waiting for a story to grab my full attention for awhile. And Knock Love Out did it for me. It grabbed me and shook me to the core. I'm in love with you and your characters Author Pella Grace. I cannot wait to read more of your work, and fall in love all over again! I'm just in complete awe of how astounding this book was. Get yourself a copy ASAP! Like right this minute. Snap to it. Don't forget this book is AMAZEBALLS!!! Yep you heard right, freaking AMAZEBALLS! 5 stars plus a million <3

I was not crazy about this book. What bothered me most was the writing style. It was not engaging enough, and felt like it was describing things after they happened instead of while they happened, and in shorthand no less. No emotion, just snippets and sentence fragments. This really didn't do it for me. I felt like I had to go back and piece together what happened. So much of the book was written in this manner, especially important parts like when the main characters have kiss or have sex for the first time, that is was really anticlimactic. I guess its supposed to be artistic or poetic, or something but it didn't work for me.

As for the story itself, the heroine wants to leave her husband for a younger man. Nothing new here, but again no emotion, no feelings of guilt, she takes off for 2 days and her husband doesn't even cross her mind. And when she returns, her husband barely has any reaction to her being gone. I felt barely angst or drama in this book, which for a book with the subject matter of a married woman, cheating, deciding between two men, should be full of.

What I did like about this book was the interaction between both the mc's and cash's crazy friends. It was silly, funny, and quirky. I found it endearing, and made me warm to the book. Also the Mariah fetish was really cute.

*I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Wow! I'm definitely in love with this book! The author has definitely great writing skills and she deserves to have bestselling books in the very near future! Seriously, I fell in love with Mr. Warren "Cash" "Money" Valentine! He's so cocky, so faithful (a huge plus for me!), so sexy, so cute with his Mariah Carey obsession (LOL!) and his barbie doll, and his couch jumping, hips swaying, fist-pumping while dancing a Michael Jackson song! I was seriously laughing the whole time!

He's just a unique character I must say. He's a total sweetheart with a combination of being a bad boy! I think that's just deadly! He's 24 yrs. old and Lilla is 39. But she's oozing with hotness wearing short shorts and sexy tank tops. And oh yeah, she likes dancing with Mariah Carey's Heartbreaker...

Their chemistry is undeniable from the moment they first met in the grocery store! I cracked up with that "Cucumber" episode! And I just loved their continuous banter the whole time!

You need to read this, guys!

One of my many fave lines from the book:

"How many fingers do I have, Honey-girl?"
I know it's gonna be wrong. "Ten?"
He rolls, grabs my wrists and tugs me to his chest,
rolling on to his back again. Hands to hands.
He laces our fingers. "Twenty."

This was a great book up until the end. I loved 24-year old Cash. A surfer dude, old soul living in a young body. I also liked 39-year old Lilla. She knew her imperfect life wasn't all her husband's fault. A lot of it was, but she caused some of the pain also. So, Cash and Lilla meet at his dad's grocery store where Cash is working for free to try and help out his dad in these bad economic times. He's cute, laid back, philosophical and sexy as hell. Lilla has had some thoughts of an affair, trying to pump some life into her stale marriage and the boy checking her out at the grocery store fit the bill. The writing is witty and original. I could feel their vibes as the relationship developed.

The big problem with the book was the end. If I read it correctly in about (what seemed like) 20 pages But, we just got the highlights and I was disappointed.

Wow! Just. Wow! I didn't know what to expect when I picked this book up. I don't normally like to read "Cougar" stories or about someone cheating on their spouse. BUT I am SO SO SO happy I bought this. From page one, it had me hooked!

"I want to strangle my husband and slam the door as I leave." Words that I think many women can relate to, but Lilla actually lives through a tough marriage feeling unimportant and unnoticed.

Until Cash steps in. Cash, a much younger guy, is the complete opposite of Lilla's husband and exactly who she needs, so she can be who she needs to be.

Cash is so full of life. So unexpected. Young, yes, but as he would say, "Who gives a fuck?" He embraces life day by day and isn't afraid to love his "honey-girl." He's every woman's fantasty - romantic and real, artistic and full.

"I'm trying to make you see. You're just like the colorful sky, Lilla, this beautiful creation, forgotten. Hidden wonders unseen, by those who don't bother to look any longer. I look. I can see them."

I highlighted so many great words in this book that I can't share them all. It was deep. It was sexy. It was sensational!

Do NOT miss reading this. It's so worth it!

This story was absolutely lovely. Sexy. Smart. FUNNY!!! It had everything.

Pella's writing just blew me away. Every sentence packed a punch. I loved Cash's playful personality (AND his cockiness!) and his love for Lilla. He was a hero without verbal or physical boundaries, and it totally worked. Their banter was hilarious, as was Cash's obsession with Mariah Carey. Lilla's vulnerability and honesty were endearing, too. There are so many people stuck in loveless/selfish marriages, and although I in NO WAY condone having an affair, it was believable that an affair with Cash was the only thing that was going to save her from a soul-destroying future.

Seriously, I could be here all day talking about it, but really, you should spend less time reading the reviews and more time reading the novel itself. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

In Knock Love Out, we get a story one could only dream of. Lilla King is tired of her marriage and life as she knows it. She meets Cash Valentine, a cashier at the grocery store towns away from her home and makes up her mind to have an affair---WHO DOES THAT? Too awesome. So totally something you'd only dream of doing. You know you've thought about it at one point or another...hot and steamy affair with that hot guy (or gal) you passed that one time way back when? Okay...maybe it's only me.

Lilla has been taken for granted by her idiot husband for most of her marriage. This makes it that much easier for Cash Valentine to sweep her off her feet. Can it be possible? What can actually become of an affair between the 24-year-old artist who's still finding himself and the older woman who's stuck in a dead-end marriage? Find out in this story that's so sweet you wish it were true!

100% RECOMMEND TO ALL.

Fell absolutely head-over-heels in LOVE with Warren "Cash" Valentine. You would be hard pressed not to. This is a story for EVERYONE. It's a beautifully told story that is a true representation of a section of life most people wouldn't normally think about or look deeper into. There's plenty of great top-notch humor that will leave you rolling on the floor to balance out the "Abandon ship!" moments your heart will be screaming time to time. Honest and real. Life isn't perfect and its a bumpy road, and for Lilla and Cash, they're just navigators that collide along the way and travel together and find something so amazingly unexpected.

Knock Love Out by Pella Grace was exactly the read I've been looking for. Her voice is unique, talented and one that really catches readers. From page one, I was hooked. Following the relationship that sparked between Cash and Lilla is one I think most women and/or men can relate to. And Pella did an amazing job at capturing all of those emotions that come along with it. I finished this book in one sitting and plan on reading it again. I didn't want to leave the world that was painted through my mind as I watched a true love story unfold. Great job Pella!

I usually don't go for contemporary romance, but KNOCK LOVE OUT grabbed me and didn't let go, leaving me wanting more. The dual POV was perfect, seeing the story through both Lilla and Cash's eyes with such clear voices to each.

Definitely, I recommend this to anyone wanting a fun, sexy, keep-you-up-all-night-reading kind of romance novel!

This book hooked me right from the beginning. I loved Lilla and I loved Cash!!! The only reason it did not get 5 stars from me is that there were parts I felt went on a little too long and I saw a few typos, which drives me nuts as an editor. But overall, I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. Not only is it a sweet love story, it's HOT HOT HOTTTT!!!

Get a divorce FIRST! Romanticizing cheating is disturbing to me. Cheating is ugly in every respect. I don't find it entertaining on ANY level. It's sad that anyone does. And a HEA rubs salt in the wound.

I really enjoyed this book. The story is told from both characters POV. I like seeing how the story unfolds from both characters perspectives.
