Tara Brown is ruthless and diabolical. OMG This Book/Series is the most twisted piece of fiction I have ever read. After completing Book 4, Four Crimson Corners, I have a strong desire to re-read book 1 to look for all the hidden clues I obviously missed. Tara must have a suspect board in her office like they use on Law & Order to keep track of all the players and their evil deeds.

Seriously if you haven't read this series, what are you waiting for? These are the characters that you hate to love. They all have despicable qualities. Anyone of them could easily be a psychotic killer.

I cannot wait for Book 5 so I can lock myself in my room and re-read the entire completed series!

Now that the girls know about Sierra's kidnapper, they are trying to catch the person before they strike again. As more people die, the town's attention is being attracted to the five girls. Everyone is trying to figure out who is tarnishing their town's "pristine" reputation. When another one of the girls dies, the girls know that time is running out.

This book was most likely my least favorite book in the series, simply because it was told from the POV of Sage, my least favorite character. I always thought that she was too stubborn for her own good, and thought that she was the most spoiled out of all of the characters. The book didn't do much to change my thoughts about her, and if anything it solidified my dislike for her. I thought that she might have som deep character development in this novel like the other girls did, but she really didn't.

This book also seemed shorter than the other books, but maybe it was just the fact that the plot felt even faster than before. The action scenes just seem to intensify with each installment of this series, and I eat all of them up. The horror didn't seem to be as prominent in this novel, but it wasn't boring by any means.

I also really enjoyed the worldbuilding. Some of the most important events of this novel occurred on the roads of Crimson Grove, and so I was able to look into the town and see how it was shaped. This helped me to get past the fact that I disliked the narrator, and instead focus my attention on the story and the locations in which it was occurring.

I think it was important in this story to have a character that was disliked, but having a whole book in that character's POV definitely allowed the readers to see the horrible thought processes of that person. This definitely built up to the last book of the series, where I finally get to see into Rita's mind. I feel like Rita was never a full part of the group, and so I haven't seen as much from her point of view as I did with the other girls. Having an entire book in her POV will definitely make things more interesting, almost from the view of an outsider.

I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a new mystery/thriller/horror series to get into.

I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.

This book has felt the most like a “filler” out of the whole series. I wasn’t thrilled when the book started out in Sage’s POV… her and Rita are probably my least favorite characters. So when it switched back to Lindsey’s POV I was excited bc I love her lol!!!

But what I didn’t love was the weird love triangle between Lindsey’s bodyguard/FBI Agent and her and Vincent????? Totally unnecessary and annoying tbh. Especially when you remember that Lindsey is SIXTEEN and this dude is TWENTY ONE (or 22)?! It was a dumb subplot that didn’t help the book’s characters or it’s story grow in any way.

I really hope book 5 concludes everything nicely because I would hate to have read this whole series for another shitty YA thriller ending that leaves me feeling empty lol. But I’ve loved the series thus far so I have high hopes!

I think if these books weren't so easy to fly through and I wasn't in lockdown due to this virus then I probably wouldn't have carried on with the series because the further I get into these books the more far fetched its becoming.
I wished we got more from Sage's point of view than the first 30% of the book. She is the character I was most curious about and I wished it didn't change considering every other girl has gotten their own story.
I have some major issues with book three and this one, but I hope this is cleared up in book five - which yes, I am going to read. We got this far, didn't we?
Plus, I said I knew it was obvious from the start who was doing this - turns out I'm right but I still don't understand why. So I guess you could say I'm sucked in.

Nothing Is What It Seems

•••NOT for the homophobic, transphobic, closedminded or faint of heart!•••

This series must be read in order. The first book is "Pretty Girls Die First". The second book is "The Little Crimson Lies". The third book is "Third Time's A Charm". This is the fourth book. I can't wait to read "When The Lights Fade"!

No one is who they seem. Everyone has secrets. Theirs just happen to be bigger than most normal people's. Not knowing what is going on keeps getting more and more dangerous. The truth is more elusive than anyone could have guessed. How will they uncover all the secrets? Should they even try? Or is it becoming more of a liability to know the truth? Is there even such a thing as truth anymore? Who is going to die next?

There is no way I can wait for book 5! I HAVE to know the ending of this story. This book is in Sage's POV and I thought Serria was bad with the way she thinks...I was wrong. Sage is a monster in her rich privileged life and thought process. We learn a lot about the hidden Sage and I believe she is in on the whole scheme of things!! Maybe, maybe not...I don't know for sure, I do know she is a beast and I hope I never run into a person like her. LOL. This series is a must read, just don't let it mess with your head!! HAHA

Totally addictive!

I'm a fan of Tara Brown's books anyway but this has to be one of my favourite series, full of plot twists and unexpected revelations. And zesty characters, not all of whom I quite like... Bring on the final installment!

I am going to go crazy waiting for the last book. Tara Brown has a way with captivating you. Even though this series was about a group of spoiled rich kids, it was amazing. The mystery and suspense. Usually this far into the same mystery I get bored, but not this time. This is a must read series and YES they need read in order. Impatiently waiting for Hang Five to release.

I love this series!

Four Crimson Corners starts off from Sage’s point of view and then about halfway moves into Lindsey’s point of view. I really enjoyed getting to learn how Sage thinks and reacts to problems and she is definitely my least favorite of the girls. She is probably the fakest of the girls and the sneakiest. Tara Brown has wrote another amazing book and can’t wait to see how this all plays out.

This book follows Sage. She thinks she finds the loophole to stop the killer, but reveles she has been behind some of the threatening notes and messages the crew has been receiving. She is not the killer and has not helped the killer but she just can’t help her mean spirit she’s always had when with Rachel. They know who was torturing Sierra and they are starting to believe Rachel’s not actually dead.

Very good continuation of the story with lots of surprising twists.
Luckily just a part of this story was told from Sage POV... not my favorite character.

This is getting so good!!

This who done it series will have you glued to your reader. Someone is out to get a group of privileged teens. Slowly each one is being attacked. If they go to the police now, they will all be arrested. Little do they know the FBI is already on the case. Five princesses are down to four. Thinking about the what ifs, sheds some light on what is going on. I can't wait for the last book to see where this ends and who will be left standing!!

"Crimson Cove runs red as cutthroat land deal gets bloody!"

Secrets, lies, death and total U-Turn!
Book #4 did not disapoint! We're getting closer and closer as secrets are being revealed.
It's amazing how Tara can actually make you fall in love with the characters but can also make you hate them to the point where you ask yourself; 'Is that person really who she claims to be?'
You trust, you doubt and in the end you're shocked!

The wait will be very long for Hang Five!

I absolutely love this series and can not wait for the next book. this series has kept me guessing. I thought by now I would have a better idea of what was going on, but although some questions were answered I'm still lost. in my opinion that makes a great series.

Great.

I love this book but I knew I would. I do wish that it had more of a concluding ending but I guess that is an author's smart way of getting me to buy the next one!
