You’re an accomplished Mompreneur who can do it all. So why do you often feel like such a hot mess?
The truth is, as successful as we are as working moms, we all sometimes feel like a hot mess. We take care of our businesses, clients, staff, and projects, and then return home to take care of the demands there. At the end of the day, so many responsibilities fall on our shoulders. At times we screw up, but we do the best we can. And that is wonderful! You are wonderful.
But you don’t just need cheerleaders or concepts for empowerment. You need real tools to help you ease the struggle and make changes in your business—and in life. That is what author Clara Capano—a sought-after speaker, coach, podcast host, and blogger—provides. In this book, Clara will help you
• develop healthy boundaries as a working mom; • communicate effectively in both business interactions and relationships on the home front; • create a foundation for self-care; • realize the power of your vision and how to communicate it; and • establish a mindset to keep you focused, purposeful, and passionate.
The positive changes that working moms make will impact generations. As we improve ourselves and our lives, we also improve the lives of our families, friends, and clients. We might not be able to have it all today, but we can still have it all. It may simply take time.
I guess I knew it all. But Clara managed to put it into a really short and powerful book. The book is packed with practical advice. Starting from the correct mindset, finishing with time management tips, if you are a working mom, you can relate to a lot of examples.
This review is for the *audio* version of Clara Capano's book, due for release July 25th, 2023. At 4-hours long, Ms. Capano puts together a good how-to for Mom-preneurs, who are fighting to have a business identify in addition to their identity as a mom. She offers pragmatic advice on how to juggle the conflicting demands of raising children with having a professional life. There are a lot of personal stories from her own life and she often quotes from well-known books or personalities to drive home a message.
I think this would make a good audiobook for any mom looking to start or revisit a business opportunity. It provides helpful guidance on how to manage your life and expectations. 4-stars. Pub date 7/25/23. 4-hours (audio); 192 pages (hardcover).

I REALLY tried to read this book. I wanted it to be helpful. I could not get past the overusage of the word "mompreneur" and once the author laid out her schedule of the day, which included a scheduled nap time in the middle of the day... I had to stop. How many working moms ACTUALLY have time for that?! It was a huge disappointment, as I was looking forward to getting new strategies and tips for managing my time better as a working mom and wife.
There were some valuable nuggets of information in this book, so I'm glad I read this. It was a good reminder of a lot of topics I already know, but I need to be reminded of but there were a few parts that I thought were just fluffy. I also couldn't get pass the word 'Mompreneur.' Overall, some good concepts but room for improvement so I gave it an average rating.
I received this book as part of a Goodreads Giveaway.
this book was okay. it had some helpful & insightful tips but the one thing I didn’t like was that every chapter was basically just a repeat of what was said in the previous chapter, reworded differently. I felt like a lot of the information in this book would’ve been better suited for an article rather than a book because it was basically just the same information regurgitated each chapter in different words.
Practical advise and strategies for successfully balancing family, self, and business for Moms. While aimed at Moms the strategies are adaptable for anyone looking to change their approach to work and find balance in all parts of life. Thanks to NetGalley for providing an ARC for my honest review.
There were a handful of takeaways from this book such as the platinum rule, but unless you are a CEO or have money to afford an assistant I suggest you steer away from this book. Personally, I found this book to be more about how to be successful at business and not as much about balancing working and parenthood as I thought it would.
Others may find this book to be inspiring and helpful to succeed in "doing it all." I personally did not find it inspiring. I do acknowledge that it has some good insights and thought provoking questions to ask yourself, however I found it to be coming from a very privileged place. I did not finish reading it
A couple of useful tips, although it can get a bit repetitive. This motivational book is best for businessowner moms. Some suggestions just aren't that realistic for some working moms.
This is truly a success manual it has action steps at the end of chapters. It gives good examples and everyday life experiences. Actions, thoughts, and advice when in the position of a working mom. While, a lot of the information given is applied to daily success for all walks of lifestyles.
I’m not a mom, but I did get a lot of value out of reading this. It did inspire and motivate me in certain areas of my life. My only complaint is some of the points were a little repetitive, but overall a useful read. Thank you for the free copy!
