My wife and I purchased this book in Sackville, New Brunswick, as part of the 250 anniversary year of Sackville's settlement.
It is a non-fiction book that deals with the settlement of Sackville and other towns in Nova Scotia, which took place after the expulsion of the Acadians. We took a look at the dykes it talks about in our previous trip to this area. My great, great grandfather came from this area and we were checking out our roots.
Some interesting things about Sackville is it was out on the fringes of Nova Scotia and then became part of New Brunswick when the Loyalists took charge and was again on the fringes.
I finished this book while at the Grand Lucayan Resort in Freeport, Grand Bahama, and on the airplane ride back from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
