Shae has been sent on vacation until her family can work out how to recover the lost data for tracking shifters. She chooses Venice, California because while it is close to home, she's never been there, and she hasn't had a break in years. All that's on her mind is enjoying the hot sun lying on a beach during the day, and partying all night long. When Shae meets her sexy Japanese landlord, she thinks she's found a little more fun than she had planned for. Eiji Tanaka might be hot to look at, but his icy attitude has lots of room for improvement. Shae decides to find her entertainment with another man, Darryl, who she meets in the club surrounded by his boys, all of whom are more aggressive than she likes. When Eiji shows up to warn her against getting involved with Darryl, Shae can't imagine what's his problem. Since she's used to juggling more than one man in her personal life and her professional one, she figures what's the harm in enjoying them both. That is until she learns the greatest danger can be found close to home.
I love paranormal .. but with bit emotions .. this book so much sex and action that emotions are no where. First i donot like heroine she is very confusing and being shifter killer have very less understanding of shifter which not sound good to me. Hero is ok ,,but his emotional/thought are so less express that its hard to connect with him. And many times he is not there for her .. (not good for me!)
Many places i skip the reading bcaz they are repeated and only from heroine point-view .. shh!! why not authors shows hero thoughts or there feelings...
Overall not good read .. but maybe ppl like if they like lots of sex with less dialogue.
High drama, high action, and high sex drive. This book did not disappoint. The things that happened to Shay were totally unexpected which made this book more enjoyable for me. There seems to be aaa few secrets in the Keith family and I'm anxious to see how everything turns out. Can't wait for the next book.
The characters were intriguing, the plot was suspenseful, and most of all the characters were lovable. Great work by Ms Lockwood, I cannot wait for Book 3!
