Best one yet!
The start of a new series, and I'd have to say the best book by this author so far! This book hit all the right notes. Garrix was a fantastic morally grey, and I'd go so far as to say Maddie was as well.
The chemistry between them was off the charts. and I enjoyed their journey together. It was great to read about 2 characters as psycho as each other. Loved all the side characters and can't wait to read them all.

DNF @ 24%/6 chapters
It isn't horrible, I probably could have finished it, but I dislike how much telling is happening and I feel absolutely no chemistry between the main leads. Garrix insta-loves Maddie who is only just kind of curious about Garrix at this point. It is a weird dynamic and I don't believe in them.
Also all the telling is detrimental to the story because it feels like we are getting contradictory information. Is the Brigade known to the criminal world or are they considered a myth? And if they are trying to keep to themselves, why are they making an alliance?

Maddalena is the bomb, and I want to be her when I grow up. Lucky woman gets Garrix all to herself and shows her brothers what she is capable of. Strong, fierce, independent, and so deserving of love. Garrix spies Maddalena and becomes totally obsessed with her. They are the ones their outfits count on to take care of tricky situations, and when they cross paths, the sparks fly. The attraction is incendiary between them. Maddie can be a little bratty, but Garrix wouldn't have her any other way. Mix two organizations together and watch the fire burn, baby! I can't wait to read more about the Vettore Family.

The Fixer is Book 1 of The Vettore Mafia series by Mael Malone Aka M Bonnet.
I really enjoyed the start to this new series, and as I am going through a mafia genre, this really was something I looked forward to read.
This book did not dissappoint me at all, I loved the storyline and you will too if you like possessive Mafia men who are possessive of the female lead then this book will be for you. I look forward to reading the next in the series.

The Fixer, book 1 of the series The Vettore Mafia by Mae Malone @maemalonebooks, is the alter ego of M Bonnet whom I am a fan of & this book was no different!
This was a fantastic Mafia book that grabbed my attention from page 1 & I couldn't put it down. So good! If you like OTT MMC, a fierce FMC, & both are unhinged in the best ways & super spicy, this is for you.

I want to be Maddie when I grow up. This mafia romance was such a fun read with plenty of action. Maddie (FMC) and Garrix (MMC) are both professional unalivers. She is “the fixer” for her father, the Don, and he is a mercenary with a professional group called “The Brigade.” When they meet sparks fly and I will just say this, their demons play well with each other.
Maddie is tough, smart, and not afraid to get her hands dirty if it means protecting her family. Garrix first sees her when they are both are in the same place to unalive the same person. He watches her in action and is instantly smitten.
Garrix is a walking red flag but for those of us who like our romance a little dark and spicy, he will be your next book boyfriend.
I loved these two together. Their dialogue and interaction made me smile at the most inappropriate times. Their idea of date night can only be found in books.

Garrix and Maddie together are *chef's kiss*. Their relationship moved relatively quickly with this story but I still feel like we got a lot from it. Usually you say a couple is two sides of a coin, balancing each other out, but in this case, these two are more similar than anything. And what I loved the most about their relationship is how Garrix saw her as an equal, not a possession (although he was VERY possessive) to put on a shelf. He didn't stop her from living her life and doing the things she needed to do. He didn't hold her back and although he was super protective, he knew she could take care of herself and allowed her to do so. They were a team.
I think the characters in this series are going to have some really interesting stories. I would love to see French's and Max’s, but I can see that JC's book is next. I really hate his character but I figure he's got a lot of changing to do so his redemption arc is going to be a huge one. Hopefully he gets some sense knocked into him, maybe by a woman in charge since he's so against them being in powerful positions.

What a wonderful start to this new series Mae Malone (M. Bonnet) delivers in The Fixer #1 The Vettore Mafia.
As a lover of the darker Mafia romance genre this ticked a lot of boxes for me, and certainly lived up to the blurb. Add in the age-gap and I was hooked.
Garrix is perfectly represented as the Alpha jealous/possessive lead male. He had the total 'touch her and die' vibes.
He was perfectly matched by Maddalena, who was no ordinary pampered Mafia princess. I loved the age-gap (12 years) too.
Both were integral to their organisations: Maddalena as her position of 'fixer' for the Vettore Mafia and Garrix as second in command of the underground operation known as The Brigade.
The storyline had intrigue, betrayal, mystery, and enough steam between Garrix and Maddalena that the sparks flew!
She was such a feisty character and I was rooting for her!
Add in the Russians and other shady shenanigans and this was a perfect start, and I'm looking forward to more.

Equally deadly second-in-command mercenary of the secret brotherhood elitist group. Masters of private hits, also feared by the Mafia, are untrustworthy due to them being a secret brotherhood group.
His task of utmost importance at hand.... convincing Maddalena they are soul mates who belong together. With closely matched psyches it must be fate.
I've never read this author's work. However, I am a fan of shorter books, less than 300 words, and this one fit the bill without feeling rushed. Enjoyed the plot. Very few typos. Good vocab. I'd read more of this person's writings.

Well I am now officially obsessed with Mae Malone’s writing. This book had me hooked from the prologue and never lost my interest.
Our FMC, Maddalena, is the youngest and only female of the Vettore Mafia children. She is a curvy plus size FMC who is an absolute bad*ss, and I loved her! She is against any man distracting her from her work and family, which makes it a lot of fun when Garrix comes for her.
Garrix is a psycho, but a lovable one. He’s completely unhinged and doesn’t waver for one second in his feelings for Maddalena from the moment he first sees her. Oh and the filthy mouth he has? Hot damn it made the spice all the more delicious.
The book is filled with action and plot, but Mae Malone still fits their love story and the spice in there perfectly.

I loved loved this book!!! I think this maybe my favorite of her so far .
The stalkerish, sexy, smut, mafia, strong asss female with the best personality , entertaining as hell, steamy , keep me on my toes was spot on just amazing !!!
The way she handles herself she is such a bad a$$&& .
G holy hell women I had dreams of him that night ! His attitude 🔥🔥🌶️🌶️🖤🖤the way he cared for her! He didn’t give a 💩about who he was talking to her in family he was like she’s mine !!!

The Fixer is book one of the Vettore Mafia Series. This was a great way to start off the series!
Garrix is a man who knows what he wants, and he wants Maddelena. It was insta love for him and nothing was going to come between him and her. He was a bit obsessive at times.
Maddelena is known as the Fixer for the Nuova Notte. I found this refreshing, as the females in mafia families usually do not have a role in the family. She was a badda$$ and didn't take crap from anyone. She definitely doesn't like feeling like she is owned by anyone, so she makes it very hard on Garrix. She fights the attraction as long as she can due to her stubbornness.
They literally are perfect for each other. They both take care of their loved ones and are both bloodthirsty.

This was definitely a different take on a Mafia romance, and I really enjoyed it. The age gap sold it for me, and we all know I love a good dark romance.

There is banter abound, and so much mystery, twists and turns in the plot that kept me hooked, wanting to read more about these two and their world. They fall hard, fast, and the chemistry is real.
This was a fantastic read and my first by the author, and definitely sticking around to read more!

The fixer is a hot new book from Mea Malone, giving us a fierce, strong, independent women in the mafia world known for cleaning up the messes they leave behind. I absolutely love Maddalena! She is everything I want in a strong FMC. Then we have Garrix our MMC, and he is OTT possessive and damn does he fall first, and I loved that because he is known for being just as firece and known to take out anyone and the leader of his own. i’m a huge fan of M. Bonnet, and Mae Malone is her mafia pen name. i knew i would enjoy this because i really like her style of writing.
Mafia is not what i usually read, but there were elements of this book that drew me in and i couldn’t put it down!
we start off with stalking, obsession, and one of the most badass FMCs that i’ve read in a while. The fixer here is the *daughter* in the crime family! just as powerful and lethal as the men in her family and the entire organization.
the only man able to bring her to her knees is her equal. there is NO slow burn here, and she fights him beautifully.
i want more, and i’m glad this is going to be a series.

Maddie and Garrix are relationship goals when we finally admit we’re all not quite sane! 😂🤣
I loved the debut novel from Mae Malone! Maddie is The Fixer for the Vettore mafia family and Garrix is a mercenary with The Brigade. Together they make one heck of an explosive team! The was an absolutely brilliant story that enthralled me from page one! Maddie was such a strong, independent FMC and Garrix was 100% accepting of that! Even though he was super protective, he always let Maddie to her thing! I can’t say enough great things about this book so you should just go read it yourself. Me? I waiting on book 2!!!! 😁

The Fixer, book 1 in the Vettore Mafia series by Mae Malone was gripping and exciting from the very beginning. We have a insanely bada$$ FMC who does not take shit from anyone, let alone her family. She has worked hard to have the respect she’s been given. Then que our walking, talking red flag of a man Garrix who wanted her as much as he wanted to unalive her. Garrix is possessive, stalkery ball of goofy bloody bad that we all enjoy with our romance. I am highly invested in this universe Mae has written and I cannot wait for the next installment. 4.5 stars, 5 spicy peppers!

Damn!!! Maddalena and Garrix are bloody, badass, batshit, filthy, sexy couple!!! Maddie is a badass female capo not afraid to get bloody and dirty. Garrix is second in command to a secret mercenary group. He falls for her while watching her take out a mutual target. This story was delicious. Its world building and the respect that Garrix and her family, except for her brother JC, show her is strengthening. She has respect from all secondary characters as well. A must read. I cant wait to read about her 4 brothers and see what is up with JC because he is on my shit list right now.... let's see

Clear your schedule because this book is one you won’t want to put down. The storyline is amazing and Garrix and Maddelena are fire! She is a total bad a$$. She is the fixer in the mafia run by her family and Garrix falls instantly for her. He is possessive and the perfect alpha male. He’s the good kinda stalker the one I love my book boyfriends being. But he’s not the only one stalking her. The tension in this book is palpable. I can’t wait to get more from this world.

Times like these, I really hate the star rating! Not only did I read, and re read this twice, but I fell into the worst book hangover! It's easy to say this will definitely be atop 2024 read for me! Mae pulled out all the stops! 10/10 recommend! Since 5 stars is all it allows that's what i shall put, but in reality it me it's like 100!

EVERY TIME i am blown away by the level of talent in their writing. start to finish i was entrapped by the writing skills. Where to start, The Fixer is a new release by Mae Malone and let me tell you I lived, breathed, and possibly dreamed about it for a solid 2 days. You get a strong, fiery, take no prisoners FMC That is a boss in her own right and paid her with the sexy as sin Garrix, a mercenary with an obsession. Hands down one of my favorite books so far of 2024 and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Garrix despite being cray cray I love him. Maddalena is his Bonnie to his Clyde. These two are perfect for each other. He has no filter and lacks no tack but he was a great character. Especially when Maddalena was being forced down the aisle marry mr nose picker. That church scene was epic. The whole book was an awesome and didn’t lack anything even steam.

I have never been so obsessed with an FMC in my life. Maddalena was an absolute bad a** and she was unbelievable throughout this entire book. As a Mafia Princess -not a princess- a queen - she demands respect and gets it. Garrix is such a dom and he falls head over heels and goodness, he takes such good care of her. The way he gets her to submit and be her- DAMN! The story was unreal and kept me engaged the entire time. I thought I had the end figured out, but I was wrong. I can't imagine JC having redemption but I am here for it.

I love Maddie and Garrix and their story. It is a captivating mafia romance. It is dark spicy and sucked me in very fast. Well written with compelling storytelling and characters..both Maddie and Garrix are lovable, she is a BA amd he is a bit psycho, very much a walking read flag. I loved them all the more for it. These two worked very well together.

This was a slightly different take on a Mafia Romance and I absolutely loved it.
The romance took the show and the mafia was riding its coat tails. It was appreciated that it was the normal mafia dynamic in the family with the women being coddled heavily and the men only got to work.
It was a bada$$ crazy FMC and the MMC to follow at her side.

Addicting. Obsessive. Unfiltered.
This was a blast! Garrix and Maddie are wild. Unhinged king and queen who quickly find themselves to be the perfect match. They’re crazy matched which makes for an explosive time.
Fast-paced and sooo much fun, this felt like a very different and original mafia romance. Can’t wait to see what’s next in this world.

This was a blast! Garrix and Maddie are wild. Unhinged king and queen who quickly find themselves to be the perfect match. They’re crazy matched which makes for an explosive time.
Fast-paced and sooo much fun, this felt like a very different and original mafia romance. Can’t wait to see what’s next in this world.
