Inked & Kinked #3

Good Girls Don't Misbehave

Rate this book
The trouble with five-year dry spells? They make you do cringe-worthy things. For Jess McDermott, it’s mistaking a hot stranger for the male escort she hired. Oh, and one other teensy problem. The sinful devil responsible for those toe-curling O’s…happens to be her new boss.

Marc Winchester doesn’t do commitment. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for blind dates. Thanks to a matchmaking mother dead set on curing his playboy ways, he’s faced with a night of agonizing small talk and zero sparks. The last thing he expects? His date to be anti-relationships, and all for getting horizontal with him instead.

It’s a match made in heaven—until they realize they hooked up with the wrong person. Now Jess is desperate to forget that night and Marc. An impossible task, even without the added complication of his family purchasing the nursery she manages. In other words, they’re stuck with each other and a combustible chemistry that shows no signs of withering.

Falling in bed together once? A mistake. Doing it again? Inevitable. Only this time they’re risking the one thing they can’t afford to lose—their hearts.

At the ripe age of seven, I penned my first epic, complete with stick figure illustrations. Sadly, my drawing skills haven't improved much, but my love of creating fantasy worlds is still going strong.
Yep, I still love writing about fairies, ghosts, and other supernatural creatures, only my stories pack a little more heat these days.

I currently reside in Michigan with my husband and overgrown lapdog. I'm a member of Romance Writers of America and Greater Detroit Romance Writers of America.

When I'm not writing or working the day job, I'm usually tinkering in the garden (weather permitting) or drooling over those smokin' hot Winchester Brothers from Supernatural. Strictly for research purposes, of course.

Oh ho! A MASSIVE misunderstanding leads to Jess and Marc spending the night of their lives together. I mean, these two were connecting on all levels. In all ways. Multiple times. Then the truth comes out and YIKES. Marc wasn't the date Jess had arranged and Jess wasn't the blind date Marc's mother had set up. So they went their separate ways thinking (while secretly lamenting the thought) that it was a one off deal and they'd never see one another again.

Joke's on them, though, because Marc happens to be the new owner of the nursery Jess works at and SURPRISE their chemistry doesn't look like it burned itself out after that one night. Soon Marc is facing down members of Jess's family who have a protective streak and Jess is desperately trying to remind herself why the two of them can't jump in bed together again.

Meddling family, bar brawls, commitment issues, a small town with a big heart, tattooed men who know their way around a relationship (and how to grovel like a champ), a man who applies himself to tasks with gusto, and a lady who likes her new boss wayyyyyy more than she expected to. GOOD TIMES!

Jess McDermott lives in a small town and works at the local nursery. When she decides to hire a male escort to help her get passed her five year dry spell. The last thing she expects to see her escort again. Marc Winchester does not do long term, so when his mom sets him up on a blind date he reluctantly goes. When Marc and Jess mistake each other for their dates, they are instantly attracted and forgo dinner and hit the sheets instead. It's only in the morning do they realize their mistake and Jess over reacts. Marc is surprised by his reaction to being rejected that he lives town to oversee a business deal for his father. However Marc and Jess are surprised that the business that Marc's family purchased is where Jess works. Marc and Jess attraction has not waned and it only grows but both have fears they must overcome. Overall, this was a very well written book and this author proves once again why she is on my must buy list. I throughly enjoyed reading this book and cannot wait for the next installment.
