Unicorn For Sale: An Unconventional Romance

Rate this book
Tessa's life was already a mess before her boss started losing it just days before the biggest fundraiser of the year. Working for a sham charity, juggling multiple couples for casual dates, and keeping way too many secrets from way too many people means this unicorn is one busy person.

All that trouble means Tessa finds herself reaching out more and more to Finn and that couple she was definitely only supposed to see as a one time thing. But she’s just reaching out as a friend, of course… until something happens that turns everything upside down and reminds Tessa why she created her unicorn rules in the first place.

But Tessa barely has time to process that when life ramps up even more. From a last-minute date auction, a chaotic sugar mama, an unexpected nemesis from her past, and - oh yeah - that whole fake dating thing with her brother’s best friend so he won’t tell everyone about her secret divorce, book two of The Unicorn Confessions series has Tessa still putting the “hot” in “hot mess.”

With a cast of old favorites and new friends, this rollercoaster plot bounces from hilariously absurd to heart-wrenchingly relatable. Join Tessa as she continues to explore how love and romance can exist outside traditional relationships in this witty and steamy tale.

This is book 2 of The Unicorn Confessions series. Book 1, The Unicorn Confessions, should be read prior to this for the best experience.

The second book in The Unicorn Confessions series, by author Cheryl Terra, takes readers on a hilarious and steamy journey with Tessa, a unicorn who is busy juggling a sham charity job, multiple secret relationships, and a whole bunch of secrets. But when her boss starts losing it just days before the biggest fundraiser of the year, Tessa finds herself reaching out more and more to Finn and Julie - a couple she was only supposed to see as a one-time thing. However, things take an unexpected turn, and Tessa is soon reminded why she created her unicorn rules in the first place.

As if that wasn't enough, Tessa also has to deal with a last-minute date auction, a chaotic sugar mama, an unexpected nemesis from her past, and a fake dating situation with her brother's best friend. Despite all the craziness, Tessa manages to maintain her sense of humor and navigate these challenges with the help of old favorites and new friends.

This rollercoaster plot is both hilariously absurd and heart-wrenchingly relatable. Readers will find themselves laughing, swooning, and rooting for Tessa as she continues to explore love and romance outside of traditional relationships. With witty writing and steamy scenes, Terra has crafted a sequel that is just as enjoyable as the first book in the series. Fans of contemporary romances and humorous novels will not want to miss out on this delightful tale.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. Tessa is back still working at the charity doing community outreach with Chuck. It's time for the Recycl-Ball and Loni Less is up to her same tricks. Always messing up stuff with her brilliant ideas that she previously shut down. Dana, Chuck and Tessa are struggling to keep up. The newest change came a month from the actual ball. Let's not forget that Tessa still has to spend a weekend with Zain to pay him back for keeping her secret.

After reading the first book in this series, I thought I could not love a book more but this second book exceeded expectations. Tessa is more open. Readers will feel like they are Tessa's bestfriend or at least wants to be at the end of this book. Tessa's family and the ex from hell are a big part of this book. Readers will get additional background on why Tessa is the way she is. I really enjoy that Tessa has no qualms about her body and is proud of it. The way she rolls with the punches when someone tries to put her down makes her even more endearing.

Get a jumpstart on this series. You will not regret it. I have enjoyed this series immensely and am hoping for more. I felt like it ended on a cliffhanger. Please Ms. Terra don't leave me hanging. I need more.

Book 2 and I'm still loving Tessa Lane unicorn extraordinaire and her sexploits!

Though Finn and Julie are missing from this book, new characters like Claire more than fill the gap they leave behind, as does Zain and his infatuation with Tessa. Cheryl Terra can sure write people from the inside to the outside - she has a gift with characterisation, inventing fun people you would so love to have in your own life.

Again, like the first in the series, I can't praise this book enough! This story is a cauldron full of quirks, cuteness and quick fire banter. It's smart, sexy, funny, serious, on the pulse, and soooooo needs reading by the whole world!.

The tension in this book does not disappoint! This book follows the first one (The Unicorn Confessions) so read that one first. We are following Tessa as she continues to navigate through life and her lack of commitment. But she has found some new people to help her with this. We meet some new love interests and are left wondering exactly what Tessa wants from each of them. This book is great for people who like best friend’s brother, sugar mama, hidden truth, he falls first, emotional scars and great character building.

A Great Read

This second installment in the series is fantastic. The WTF moments are epic, with new intriguing characters joining the story in this book, it's a great read. Even though it's best to read this book after reading the first book in the series, the author gave enough recap details from book one to make this passable as a standalone story. But honestly, book one was so good that I recommend you read them together.

So many twists and turns. Tess may be a hot mess, but the book isn't! It flows beautifully and you want to know what happens next. Sensitive topics are handled with poise and you can't help but root for Tessa! Can't wait for the next installment.

Wonderful continuation!

I loved how this book really expanded on the relationships in Tessa"s.life. we learn so much about her history and how that affects her present. Knowing I only have one book left is bittersweet because I want to find out what happens, but I don't want it to end.

Great second installation in the series. Loving the work drama and the addition of Claire to the list of amazing characters. The ending was a perfect *chefs kiss* cliffhanger. So glad book 3 is out and I can fond out what happens next.

I loved this second instalment of The Unicorn Confessions, which like the first leaves the reader on a cliff-edge.
I enjoyed reading about the characters, new and old, and their "adventures".
I do wonder though whether this series, or at least the last two books might be better as a single book rather than a seriers of three.

This was a great sequel! Our favorite Unicorn, Tessa, is up to all kinds of shenanigans with some new people! I love how independent Tessa is. She is comfortable with who she is and what she wants…but it looks like she may be giving up her “one night” rule! This book ends in a bit of a cliffy so I am excited for the next book in the series!!!
