I keep reading these because I’m invested in the story. It is kinda slow, not much happens in each book now it seems, but this one did keep me anxious to see what happens next.

Quick read. I am really getting tired of the series because it is taking so long. So much is dragged out. Nothing really gets accomplished in the book, but now we have guards for Jessie, for Kat, for Ryan, for Hannah. And nothing big happens. Can the books just focus on the 2 people out to hurt those 4 and not all the other random stories.

Jessie has gone from annoying for the sake of the story to balls to the wall annoying.

Anyone else tired of Jessie going against the grain with her job and never having any consequences for it? There is no way she wouldn’t and shouldn’t have been fired by now for putting herself and whomever she’s partnered with in danger.

With that said, this series is dragging out. It started out exciting and now is just one book after another with seemingly nothing being accomplished.

If it was only possible to give negative stars. There are so many things wrong with this book. It shouldn't be billed as a thriller, it should be billed as a fantasy. This series started off so strong, but it has devolved into nothing more than everybody pandering to a woman who has an inflated view of her ability to save the world.
-Jessie works for the police department, and she knows that not following procedure could endanger the prosecution of a criminal. So what does Jessie do, she breaks every procedure, the whole while having these long drawn out mental dialouges about why she has to do it.
-Jessie has a concussion. She has spent pages and pages and pages through the last few books bemoaning the fact that just one little head bump could either kill, cripple, or turn her into a vegetable. So what does Jessie do while she is on medical leave? She goes out and chases down suspects, putting herself in danger.
-Jessie and her family are being stalked by multiple serial killers, so Jessie hires body guards for everybody. And then she immediately stops listening to her bodyguard AND he LETS her do whatever she wants to do.
-Jessie is supposed to be on medical leave for this life threatening concussion, so her psychiatrist asks her to look into the murder of her friend. Not only is a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL disregarding her injury, Jessie's husband/boss allows her to secretly interfere in the investigation of another precinct with the help of the IT team.
-Jessie asks her best friend, who is suffering from PTSD and being stalked by the same multiple serial killers as Jessie, to investigate one of the serial killers as a private investigator, all the while disregarding the advice of both of their bodyguards and police procedures.
-And Jessie stashes her sister in a safe house, stopping her from starting college. But Jessie is running all over town, disregarding all safety precautions.
-And ALL of the trained professionals LET Jessie do this crap!

Make it make sense! I am done with this series.

This was another "Perfect" Psychological Suspense Thriller by Blake Pierce. The Perfect Appearance has three plots in this thriller. We have Haddonfield we learned is trying to hurt Jessie by killing people she saved in her cases because he couldn't get into her class last fall. The reason he couldn't get in her class was because she decided to leave and go back to being a profiler full term, that way she could work with her husband Ryan Hernandez and could work out some of the problems with him and Hannah that has come about because of her kidnapping. We have Ash Pierce who is out to get Hannah, Jessie's sister and her best friend Kat Gentry who Ash tried to kill them both. The Dr. Lemmon asks Jessie to find out what is happening with the case of her psychiatrist friend Gemma Britton and then as she is trying to figure out if she can help with the case another psychiatrist is killed and that is another plot for Jessie to figure out. There are so many twists and turns in this book and then it ends with a really a twist I would never see coming. This was another awesome Jessie Hunt Psychological Suspense Thriller by Blake Pierce. I can't wait to read book 30 in this series. I have other series by Blake Pierce I need to read but just suffice it to say if you read this series it will get you interested in Blake Pierce. I would highly recommend this book, this series and any Mystery book that might interest you. It was not just a good read it was excellent. Well written thriller by Blake Pierce.

I’m usually pretty hesitant about writing reviews for the Jessie Hunt series. The books are entertaining, however; sometimes the antagonists are repetitive with only slight changes. This book is definitely setting expectations higher for book #30.
Jessie, Kat, and Hannah, all have their own separate issues that were brought on from the same reason. They are working hard at keeping an eye out for one another but only from a distance, which is difficult for this close-knit crew. Jessie and Ryan are having trouble in their new marriage, which is understandable, given the stress that they undergo continually.
This book even had tertiary characters make a significant appearance in the plot. Ryan’s revelation at the end of the book brought us to the cliffhanger. We didn’t realize we wanted.
Overall, this book is long overdue in this series, and I am looking forward to seeing what Jessie Hunt and her crew are bringing in the future.

"Too late... "

OH! MY! GOD!!!

See, THIS is EXACTLY WHY I CANNOT STOP reading this series, EVEN THOUGH I know that soon I am going to have to WAIT for the final books to be released!!!

😳😬😵‍💫🥴

And I HATE waiting!

BUT MY HELL!

When authors leave the ends of their novels like THIS!!! (Ahem, BLAKE!) They make being a patient person LITERALLY impossible!!!

🤷‍♀️

I quite literally have NO CHOICE. I HAVE to keep reading. It's the LAW! 😉

The FACT that I have two library books due soon doesn't matter... Blake Pierce ended this book with the worst Cliff Hanger!!!

Library due dates be damned! I MUST FIND OUT what happened!!!

Come on Book #30! DO! NOT! BREAK! MY! HEART!

It’s enough!

I have been reading Blake Pierce books since the beginning when there was only one series, now there are so many series and books that I am beginning to wonder who is writing them all now. I love the Jessie Hunt series and every character in it. I am just getting very frustrated that each book is getting shorter and nothing gets resolved. The team has been pursuing a few serial killers for a long time now and it is just dragging along. But, I am very fond of each character so I keep buying them and reading them all. I think it’s time to tie up some loose ends finally.

Jessie is facing all sorts of problems - her marriage is crumbling, her health is suffering after having her head beaten consecutive times, she is being hunted by two different murderers, and her shrink asks for help after seeing a dear friend being killed. The story is fast-paced, full of action and mystery and ends in a cliffhanger that just makes me wish that the next book is published soon!
I thank Ms. Pierce for this ARC.

Manipulation.

Just that one word to describe this book of the series. There's always a need for the characters to justify their "push" to be part of a case to the point that, it may be justifiable for them but it's already making them the only people good to resolve a case.

Hannah Dorsey really needs to have her own series. She thinks. She acts. She's crazy. She's the wilder version of Nancy Drew.

For the first time, I was hoping that Jessie would be killed just to end all this. She is putting everyone else in danger.
I am so tired of these people, but I cannot seem to quit.

I tried to find information on the Blake Piere writers collective but have not been successful. Might be fun to join one and churn out these books one after the other.

Two serial killers on the loose - 1 dedicated to killing everyone Jessie cares about escaped from the bus carrying her to her trial and another new one killing therapists that can't heal him instantly. They better catch them next book or that will be the last one I read.

Slower than most but the end makes up for it. It’s like watching a series and some episodes build for the next few episodes. Onto the next one.

Jessie Hunt is still being hunted by the crazy woman who is determined to kill her and her loved ones. She is recovering from her last battle which caused a concussion. Her new marriage is suffering but she is determined to get things back to normal. She hires private security for everyone. When her therapist mentions to her that a colleague of her was just murdered, Jessie takes interest and decides to investigate even though she is not supposed to be working. Then another colleague gets murdered and it’s clear that a serial killer is killing therapists and has to be stopped.
