A sweet and sometimes emotional read you’re not going to want to miss! Jade Dare has not had the best luck with men, believes her "man picker" is broken, and plans on taking a break from men altogether. Knox Sinclair has experienced the same betrayal as Jade. It was actually each others' exes that hooked up, but he doesn't plan on letting his past control his future. Jade is insanely attracted to Knox, but doesn't want to catch any feels. When she agrees to a "one night only" Knox jumps on it, hoping to convince her for more. Feels are soon being caught between them, but can they overcome Jade's emotional baggage and interference from their past?
Carly Phillips is one of those authors I've just gotten into recently, but now I'm just one-clicking them all! I love all the interconnected family drama and seeing over and over all the characters I've come to love. I love how she combines a great story with just the right amount of angst so I'm left with all the warm fuzzy feels ❤️. Just One Kiss does delve into anxiety and mental health issues and I felt like it was handled with care. Just another great read! I can't wait for her brother's book next!

5 Love When You Least Expect It Stars!!
If Carly Phillips writes it, I’m going to read it and I LOVED Jade and Knox’s story so so much!! Neither Jade or Knox are looking for any kind of relationship right now given they’re both in recovery mode from their most recent relationships especially when their Ex’s got together and cheated. And just because they’re not looking doesn’t mean that Knox’s little sister won’t do what she can to bring them together. It all starts to come together when Holly’s dream of getting married at the hotel that Jade’s the Event Planner at since it’s a Dare Hotel, Jade and Knox start spending a lot of time together.
There’s definitely a draw to each other, but can they both stick to a one night only rule? And so it begins… a relationship that wasn’t wanted but is absolutely sexy and smart and healing. I loved how these two really got to know each other so much better with the exploration of their chemistry. Knox really listens to Jade and is so considerate and caring when it comes to this woman. And Jade isn’t sure how she’s going to resist this man’s charms… she puts up a good fight, but it’s a moot point because this man is meant to be her forever!
This story has everything I love about Carly’s writing. It’s filled with moments of laughing, swooning, fanning myself, along with some tense moments that had me on the edge of my seat. It’s a journey for Jade and Knox to their HEA but it was so worth it when it all comes together for them!

Taking a Chance
If you haven’t read Carly Phillips’ books you need to because this author always spins a tale that holds you on the edge of your seat until that last page is turned. Jade Dare is an event planner at one of her family’s hotels and at this point she has sworn off men due to failed relationships. Knox is also taking a break because of his crazy ex but that doesn’t mean he hadn’t noticed his brother’s ex. Both Jade and Knox have had eyes for each other but Jade wants to keep it to a one and only.
Well, you know what they say about best laid plans! Once just isn’t enough and there are surprises along the way. You can almost taste their chemistry between these two because it is so strong. This was one of those books I couldn’t put down because I just had to see how this author could work it all out.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Jade has been screwed over by two guys she was engaged to. The first only wanted her for her family money. The second is a whiny, narcissistic hockey player who cheated on her with his step-brothers wife. Yep, you read that right. Jade’s done with men. She doesn’t trust her judgement. That is until Knox comes back into her life.
Knox has no love for his step-brother, even before he slept with his wife. That was just the tip of the iceberg. Knox however had been attracted to Jade for years, but never acted in anything because he was married. Not to mention she’s his best friends younger sister.
They happen to run into one another while Knox is helping his sister plan her wedding or do they? Knox’s sister Holly is just a little bit of a matchmaker (and I love her!).
I really liked the chemistry between these two. Knox knows the Jade has walls up and for good reasons. I laughed, cried, melted, and got a little heated during this book.

Yes! So much yes for this book. I felt the connection between Jade Dare and Knox Sinclair from the beginning, even when they both thought they could heal their attraction in an one-night stand. The lies! It was some time since they last saw each other, since when his stepbrother, who was Jade’s fiancé, and Knox’s former wife, decided to cheat everyone involved.
Now she’s on a man fast and he just can’t help but act on his attraction. What was supposed to be one steamy night, become two, three and so on. More than that, they suddenly become best friends, a hand for support, a good heart sharing… I loved how Knox put every other man in her life to rest, he was caring, protective and so loyal. She was everything he ever wanted, his dream girl, SO strong, beautiful and so loving.
I liked that, for once, she was the broken one in the relationship, the one who needed to heal the most. And he never, ever, let go of heart hand, at the end, stealing her heart and soul. And things turn unexpected crazy when she finds out she’s pregnant. Wow, from her family emotional confrontation to that insane action twist in the end.
I loved everything about this story, and I can’t wait to read more about the rest of the Dare’s siblings and one can hope that there’s a future series in the work of Knox football team! Who doesn’t love some great sports romance, right?
If you love surprise pregnancy, emotional, soulmates and one-night stand stories, this one is a must.

Jade is on a much-needed man fast. She is now free if her cheating fiancé' and ready to take the event planning world by storm.
Knox Sinclair has always been sweet on the lovely Jade, but it is kind of awkward when she is engaged to your jerk of a stepbrother. He hasn't seen the lovely woman in months but when he accompanies his younger sister to a bridal expo, he is treated to more than giveaways and prizes. There she is looking more beautiful than he remembered.
The attraction has always been there, and they are both aware but when they find themselves having dinner together it becomes infectious. A deal of sorts is made. Jade will agree to one night no strings attached. Knox is a patient man, and he agrees because once he gets a taste, he knows he will find a way to make one night last forever! This couple has sizzle, chemistry, are funny, sweet and have great witty banter!

There are some heavy themes - mental health awareness for instance, but written with care and a deft hand, but everything is leading to love and happiness hard fought for, and so deserved by this wonderful couple who have chemistry in spades.

A sexy and sweet delight

There’s something so comforting about a Carly Phillips book for me. Comforting in a deliciously, sexy kind of way. As expected, I devoured this book of two people who secret fantasies of each other are now, finally able to come true.
This is book 6 in the Kingston Family Series and also links to characters from other of Phillips’ series’. This story, more than most, stands completely alone (possibly because neither Jade or Knox are actually part of the Kingston clan) and while you’ll get snippets of other stories, you don’t need to have read any others to enjoy this tale.
Jade is the kind of heroine that I can really get behind. She’s a strong, career woman and has had a lot of success - except maybe in love. However, it was her insecurities and imperfections that made me like her the most. She wasn’t blind to her faults and didn’t make excuses for them. She tried her best to manage her physical and mental issues and her complete ownership of them was really nice to see.
Knox was, well, a bit of a sweetheart. Wrapped up in a sexy as sin package with a wicked little glint in his eye. The guy falls hard and fast for Jade which had my little heart going pitty-patt. I loved the way he tried to convince Jade to give them a chance, even getting a bit caveman at times. He was just the perfect hero and I couldn’t ask for more.
Carly Phillips is the master of sexy stories and this knocks it out the park. Jade and Knox are explosive together from that very first kiss. Which, of course, we know, is not going to be their first or only kiss. Thank goodness. There’s plenty of sexy goodness but it’s parcelled up with the emotion and feelings that make this a story that I raced through, enjoying every second.
For a pair of characters with plenty of emotional baggage, you’ll be pleased to hear that this is not a heavy or angsty book. There are some more difficult topics woven through the story but at no point did I feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable. Very well handled all-round.
I left this story with my heart light and happy. Carly Phillips just never disappoints and this story had an extra dash of sweetness to go alongside her usual sexiness. There’s also a little teaser for the next book in the series about Jade’s brother, Asher, which had me salivating in anticipation. I can’t wait for that one but before that, you’ll definitely want to read this story in all its sexy, sweet glory. 5 stars from me.

This must be one of the longest running series in contemporary romance, because I’ve been reading about the Dare family, etc., for years. But each new romance is fresh and compelling, and I hope we can continue to meet new couples in this world for years to come.
Jade Dare is on a man fast. After going through relationships with two losers, she's focused on her job as an event planner at one of her family's hotels. But when Knox Sinclair's younger sister, Holly, decides she wants to get married at the Meridian and a cancelation comes up, Jade has no choice but to spend time with her secret crush. The man who's also her ex-fiancé’s brother.
Knox Sinclair has always thought there was something special about Jade Dare, but when his brother started dating her, he know he had to keep his distance. Months after their breakup, when Knox has a chance to spend one forbidden night with Jade, he jumps at the chance. He's willing to see where things go, but Jade made it clear it was one night only. That is, until he has a reason to see Jade more frequently through Holly's wedding planning, and all bets are off.
Although this romance touches on things that may be troubling for some readers, Phillips addresses some difficult subjects with care and grace, offering awareness and understanding for the reader. She gives us relatable characters with real-life issues who we have no choice but to empathize with. She then adds in a little suspense and danger for a captivating, heartfelt, phenomenal story that is sure to please even the most skeptical romance reader.

Just One Kiss is an entertaining read that ticked a number of boxes for me. All it takes is one night to change the course of one’s life. From the moment Jade Dare and Knox Sinclair met again the attraction sizzled between them.
Life hasn’t always been easy for Jade and the fact that they have history only complicates matters. However after a few nights, Knox knows that he wants it all with Jade but can he convince her to take a chance?
The chemistry and attraction between them is impossible to ignore and when Knox turns up and learns that Jade is pregnant, he is initially shocked but happy. Jade has a great deal of anxiety and is concerned that her family history could be passed onto their child.
I really felt for Jade, you could feel the anxiety, pain and angst as she struggled. Knox has a hard time trusting thanks to a nightmare of an ex wife and yet he is prepared to open himself up to Jade and I admired him.
I fell hard and fast for both these characters, particularly Knox; there is so much more to him than meets the eye and he ticked all the boxes for me. His unwavering belief that they are meant to be together was heart warming.

Jade’s young life was not the best which affected her adult life. I felt bad that she had such bad migraines as I could relate. The Dare brothers were always there to watch over her, especially after she had two ex’s that were awful. Knox’s sister wants to get married at the Meridian where Jade makes sure all the functions at the hotel are handled to each person’s satisfaction. Knox goes with his sister to one of her meetings and can’t get Jade out of his head. Jade is against any kind of commitment, but she was attracted to Knox also. Knox’s step brother is one psycho and does some awful things to Knox and Jade. I loved watching Jade and Knox grow closer. Jade’s brothers were fun to watch when they found out Jade was seeing Knox. There are a few exciting scenes that had me wishing I were there to help Jade! I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Just One Kiss by Carly Phillips was a sweet and sexy accidental pregnancy romance that did crazy good things to my heart. I am really enjoying Carly's Kingston Family series, and have been looking forward to Knox and Jade's romance. Jason Clarke and Samantha Cook narrate in this audio. Usually 3rd person POV is not always my favorite, but with these two narrators I barely even noticed, and I found myself fully enveloped in Knox and Jade's romance. Samantha did an amazing job showcasing Jade's vulnerabilities due to her complicated past, and her passion and determination for a hopeful future. Jason was swoon-worthy as Knox! He conveyed Knox's charismatic and dedicated persona as he fell fast and hard for Jade. Plus, Jade and Knox have super hot chemistry that both narrators did a fantastic show portraying.
Overall, I loved this book! If you are a fan of an accidental pregnancy romance with a hot hunky football owner, a loyal event coordinator, overcoming cheating exes, wedding planning, a matchmaking sister, an overprotective brother, dinner dates, fancy galas, super hot steamy times, a trip to the Caribbean, a little bit of danger, and a HEA that proves that one kiss can lead to one happy family, then you will love Knox and Jade's story. Just One Kiss by Carly Phillips was a sweet and sexy accidental pregnancy romance that did crazy good things to my heart. I am really enjoying Carly's Kingston Family series, and have been looking forward to Knox and Jade's romance. These Dares just get hotter and hotter and Carly doesn’t seem to be heading into a conclusion of this series any time soon—for which I am truly grateful. This story picks up pretty quickly after the end of Aurora and Nick’s story, bringing us the story of Nick’s little sister Jade and the man that really shouldn’t capture her interest much less her heart, but that she can’t seem to resist. Jade has had a hard time with relationships, especially lately, and her new outlook is to just go it alone, but the heat between her and Knox, the brother of her ex-fiancé is off the charts. When they are thrown together by his matchmaking little sister, Knox Sinclair knows he should resist the temptation Jade represents, but the woman is just too much for him to turn away, and really what could a no-strings night of passion hurt. But one night isn’t enough and soon the pull between them leads them both into dangerous, and intense, territory that neither of them is sure they are ready for. Can they both accept that love strikes in the most unusual of circumstances and they were perhaps meant to be together all along, or will a dangerous rival put a permanent end to their chances for a happily-ever-after? I really cannot say enough about this book except that I loved every minute of Jade and Knox’s tear-filled and passionate story. Jade has so many issues and so many pains in her past to work through before she can devote herself to a healthy relationship, but the emotion that Knox inspires finally gives her the impetus to put in the time and effort to heal herself. The traumas of her past could have broken a lesser woman for sure, but with the support of her family and the love of her life, I can see she will be the best lover and wife to Knox. She was sweet and sassy, but she definitely gave him a run for his money, making him work for her love and prove himself to her even as she had to come to terms with her own shortcomings. I loved watching her finally heal and accept the pain she’d buried for decades in order to have a healthy and loving relationship, giving all off herself to her man. Knox certainly has his own issues and hang-ups when it comes to love, and who could blame the guy, but he knows that what he feels for Jade is special and he is determined to show her they are meant to be together. His strength and appeal, combined with the consideration and loving nature he shares with those in his inner circle contrasts beautifully with his strong and determined personality making him the perfectly rounded warrior to prove to Jade they are perfect together. While he obviously has to work through his own stuff before he can promise forever to Jade, once he offers himself to her wholly he never backs away, even when he learns the secret she hid from him, devoting himself to making her happy and keeping her safe. The heat and passion between these two is off the charts for sure, but the sweet and quiet moments are just as beautiful to watch as these two broken hearts find solace and healing in one another. I am dying to read the next story in this series and watch the next Dirty Dare fall in love. Honestly this series just gets better with each story and I personally hope that the Dare family continues to expand with new branches on an endless family tree. Keep the magic coming, Carly.

I've been enjoying each entry in this series, and now we've circled back to The Dirty Dares, the cousins of the fan favorite Dare family from the original Dare to Love series! The first Dirty Dare, Nick, was the hero of the last book, and now his sister, Jade, is the heroine here.
Jade Dare is done with men. She's had 2 broken engagements. One only wanted her money. The second one cheated on her with his stepbrother's wife. So now, she no longer trusts her own judgement. But when circumstances throw her back into the path of said ex's stepbrother, she's wondering if she's sworn off MEN, or just relationships. Because one night with Knox would be worth whatever happens.
Knox Sinclair didn't exactly have a happy marriage, but he was still SHOCKED to find out his wife was sleeping with his stepbrother. They're now divorced, and he's happy flying solo again. But, when his stepsister, who he's VERY close to is getting married, and he unexpectedly crosses paths with Jade again, he wants her. He was always attracted to her, though he never would've acted on it in the past. Now, there's no reason they can't do exactly what they both want. But, it turns out once will never be enough.
Knox and Jade were electric on page together, and I couldn't wait to see them burn up the sheets. But, after a single encounter, neither of them can forget the other, and that leads to a second time. And a third. And more... Until a big surprise catches them both off guard, and sends Jade spiraling. This all felt very realistic to me, and I appreciated that she needed to think things through before she decided how to proceed.
The Dare family always gives good side character, and this one was no exception. Knox's stepsister Holly was also wonderful, and I loved her bubbly self so much. So, of course, it gave a massive contrast to his HORRIBLE stepbrother, and Jade's ex, Theo. He was definitely the villain of this piece, and in fact, that storyline went a completely different way from what I was expecting. I appreciate that it wasn't the same old thing, but I'm also not sure if I loved the way it went.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story, and Knox and Jade's connection was too strong for them to fight. I especially love when a hero is the one to fall first, and that was definitely the case here! I'm looking forward to the next book, after the setup for it took place at the end of this one. Can't wait!

Carly Phillips's Dare series has been a reliably entertaining collection of books for years and this latest release shows itself to be a worthy addition to the family. Bringing back familiar characters who were previously put through the wringer, it's wonderful to see them finally get the HEA they deserve in a steamy tale that touches on a few heavy issues along the way.
Jade Dare has been unlucky in love with two broken engagements in her past, one due to finding out he just wanted her money and one due to cheating on her with his brother's wife. That most recent betrayal has turned her off men completely and has her devoting herself to her career as an event planner. She can't leave her past behind her completely though when her ex's brother re-enters her life as she's planning his sister's wedding. Jade might not want a man in her life forever, but she's more than happy to spend one night with the sexy Knox. One night soon becomes more though, especially when she ends up pregnant. From that moment on life changes irrevocably for Jade as she deals with fears over what her mother's illness means for her child, along with a man determined to make the three of them a family. Through it all Jade's a likable heroine who's had a difficult life due to her mother's mental illness and men who never wanted her for herself. She’s the kind of heroine you can relate to while cheering her on to embrace the love so blatantly being offered to her by Knox.
Knox Sinclair always felt an attraction to Jade, from the moment they first met there was a spark, but he knew he had to keep his distance. While helping his sister plan her wedding though he's brought back into Jade's life...and this time he has no plans on leaving. Jumping at the chance to have one night with her has him making the most of it, making her want him as much as he wants her, which ultimately leads to a life-changing event. Knox might've been shocked by his impending fatherhood at first, but he quickly went all in, determined to make Jade his forever in a heartfelt journey to HEA.
This was a couple worth rooting for! They were both unlucky in love, with more to them than meets the eye, and together readers were able to see what was below the surface of what they showed the world. Knox was immensely appealing, sweet and sexy, as well as determined. Jade had a tough exterior but below the surface were fears over what her mother's mental illness meant for her, and ultimately her child's, futures. These fears were understandable and addressed by the author in a respectful way that had me wanting Knox to just hug Jade's worries away. From the first page to the last this was a satisfying story that will tick many of the boxes for readers. Here's to many more Dare romances in the future!

This was such a phenomenal story. Absolutely loved Knox and Jade.
Jade is a beautiful woman who has decided to be on a man fast from anything serious from all men after her last two relationships have ended very badly. One man only wanted her for her money and the other man cheated on her. Theo, the cheater, cheated on her with his stepbrother, Knox’, wife. How low and self-centered can one man be, unfortunately she knew to well. So Jade is putting all her focus on her wedding planner business.
While at a Bridal and Wedding Expo for her business, she runs into (or should I say gets run into) by Holly, the stepsister of the man that was married to the woman her ex-Theo cheated on her with. Jade is surprised to see Holly and even more surprised to see Knox. Like any living breathing woman, she found Knox extremely attractive from the first time she met him. Years later and she still finds him just as attractive.
Knox is at a Bridal and Wedding Expo with his stepsister Holly because he loves her dearly and would do anything for her. Never in his wildest dreams did he think he would run into one of the most beautiful women he knew, one of his good friends sister. Knox has always been attracted to Jade but never acted on it because he was married at the time. However, years later, now divorced because his wife cheated on him with Jade’s ex-fiancé Theo, he was getting to see Jade again.
What starts out as just a dinner among three friends, Holly has left leaving Jade and Knox alone for dessert and conversation. I’m surprised that it was the same author who wrote Just One Dare wrote this, because while I didn’t like Just One Dare (book about the FMC’s twin), I devoured this one.
Anyway, this was written very nicely. The 3rd person pov here surprisingly didn’t bother me much, but I figured if the author divided said pov in 2 ways, his and hers, why not make it 1st person pov in the first place? I think I’d have connected more with the characters then. But still, this was totally fine.
The storyline flowed well with lots of interesting and emotional details and events, I was captivated from the very first moment, or hell even from the synopsis. Normally, I’m not really a big fan of ow/ om drama, or at least one that was mentioned so frequently throughout the book, but in this case, I think it was necessary and perfectly done, I was loving every second of this ex drama lmao.
The chemistry between Knox and Jade was good. I love that they got to spend time together to get to know and be comfortable around each other. They were so likeable and been through a lot so I’m glad that they finally got what they deserved. Now everyone say thank you Holly haha.

I loved Knox and Jade's story so hard, I don't have the words to adequately express my feelings.
I loved Jade so much, her anxiety and health issues make her so relatable because so many people suffer from the same issues. And despite everything she's been through in her life, she's grown into such an amazing, caring, giving, warm-hearted woman, and her character is truly inspiring. And in Knox, she has found her perfect, swoon-worthy match. Patient, caring, and dedicated to proving to Jade that not all men are a§$holes and that he is well worth her time and feelings, he is equally amazing and a character that any warm-blooded reader can instantly fall in love with ...
The plot kept me on the edge of my seat with some twists and turns I wasn't expecting.
I don't know how Ms. Phillips manages to make this series even better with every new book! I highly recommend this book, it truly is a must-read!

Jade is a strong and smart woman while Knox is an alpha and swoon-worthy. They have history together because once upon a time Jade was a fiance of Knox's stepbrother. But with everything they have been through, I don't think their love is forbidden. They're both single when they reunite and they have a chance to give into their attractions... at least in Jade's part. I think Knox wants more than one night with Jade and it makes me like him even more. Usually I would feel like I'm missing something if two characters have history together but an author leaves it out of their story... but I don't feel right that with Jade and Knox's story. Well, I do feel their encounter is a whirlwind but I am okay with it.
I really enjoy reading Just One Kiss. Their love story has a perfect amount of everything combined... sexy, sweet, and a little bit sense of dangerous so it's easy for me to decide to give this book 5 stars.

This is the 6th book in this incredible series, and this is Knox and Jade’s story. Jade is so sweet and caring, and with her bad luck with men, she has sworn off them. Jade is an events planner, and she is helping Knox’s younger sister to arrange her wedding. Knox has a huge heart, and now the more time he spends with Jade, the more he wants, and when they have a hot 1-night stand, they both know once is not enough, and he is determined to keep pursuing her. The chemistry between these two is intense and undeniable. This is a beautifully written story which has angst, drama, family, friendships, betrayal, tension, emotions, suspense, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page turner.

Another winner by this author! It was everything we have come to expect: the chemistry, the story, and the fabulous characters. As we had met Jade Dare, it was fun to get to know her a letter better. Knox is my new book boyfriend. The way he is with his sister and Jade is perfection.
In the romance department, Jade and Knox are on fire together. But their past has both guarding their hearts, her more than him. So will this fling make it past a night or two?
The part of the story that had me riveted is the sibling rivalry, jealousy, and one party’s misguided revenge. I love how the author can seamlessly bring families together for the angst this book needed.

I this book! This books reminds of the saying “You don’t know what you had until it gone”, or “ The grass is greener on the other side, but it really isn’t”. Loved the ending!

This is the third pregnancy in this series when they’ve used condoms. One of them is book which I read out of order but still… three. Where are these people buying their condoms and do they need a lesson on how to use them? Other than that, I really like this one. Jade is the Dare sibling in this story and she’s very likable. So is her beau, Knox. This series is like crack. The narrators were great and I definitely recommend this series if you’re looking for something light and not realistic.
