There I was, driving a busload of hot cheerleaders back to their college after the big football game when the damned ground opened up and swallowed us whole. I woke up in the wilderness on an alien planet, with a disembodied voice going on about a quest to save the cheerleaders. Hell yeah, I plan to save the cheerleaders!
Goblins, orcs, and football zombies—yeah, I said football zombies—inhabit the woods and are intent on our destruction. And then there's The Voice, granting us quests and providing the cheerleaders with different classes like Huntress, Enchantress, and Fire Weaver.
Of course, I should mention the bevy of beautiful women all around me, twenty-four seven, vying for the attention of the only man around—me. We're going to have to fight for our survival with everything we’ve got while also trying to find our way back to Earth.
What to expect:
LitRPG and progression elements Town building Battle scenes Some cursing Non-conventional relationships
It's a bit on the cliche side, but it's still fun. I enjoyed reading it. The only downside, for me, was the number of characters. Here is the list so far (and it's probably not complete): Maeve- Huntress - redhead, hazel eyes - 3rd sister-wife Alex - Shadow Dancer - black hair, brown eyes - 1st sister-wife Nikki - Martialist - platinum blonde, 5' 11" - 2nd sister-wife Olivia - Greek, gunmetal blue eyes Alana - Healer - Polynesian, brown hair with tawny eyes - healer Hiroku - straight jet-black hair, dark brown eyes, Japanese Dee Williams - Harem Mistress - 1st wife Hannah - Cheer Fighter - light gold hair and blue eyes Inola - Tracker - Native American, earth brown hair Megan - strawberry blonde Kayla - ash brown hair - Wise Woman Amber Sammi - Fire Weaver (village chef) - streaks of red through black hair Tiffany Alyssa - Crystal - Warrior Acrobat - black hair with blue lines, 5' tall Yanira - Latina, hungry brown hair and eyes Asley Londyn - Personal Guard - silvery eyes Izzy - brown hair Bridget - copper (red) head Maria Jordyn Jasmyn - curly black hair and green eyes Mackenzie Stefani Zoe Jada Chloe Paige
The protagonist has the bad habit of allowing all the girls in the novel to continuously push him around like a wimp. Especially that Asian biatch who kept talking like she was some type of Karen. I think the novel could have done better with a protagonist who has a personality that would not take sh!t from anybody and would also be reasonable to listen to the girls opinions but would ultimately choose a path he thinks it's best.
A 12" cock? Really? Is DJ 16 years old? Fantasy is one thing, but this is ridiculousness in the extreme. Perhaps a chat with a few real live women might educate you on the uses of a foot long cock! Well, you can really write in the snow! That's about it!
So, I give credit where it's due. The take a smut plot and go all in. There is a fair bit of it. It's petty good. There is a semblance of a plot to fuel it.
There's a severe lack of variety however, beyond mostly, blonde, brunette, redhead. The author kills off or removes some of that variety even... one I would've liked to see more about.
But, besides that there are so many women it's hard to get more than basic characatures of them, with a few exceptions. Hopefully that changes.
I will say on the plus side, the MC is respectful, about consent even when he is being pressured, and the story seems to have a moral impetus in that regard, which is refreshing. There's an attempt to thread the needle between confidence and arrogance/douchebaggery, and mostly manages.
Most of the really good stories like this at least try to find and explanation as to the need for the smut to be like it is. There are no explanations. Maybe book 2 will have it? The kind of SA from a thing on the MC is my last gripe.
It's decent overall though for an introduction, but the best in the genre but solid. KU it to see if you like it perhaps. The twist at the end is enough to have me try the next at least and see if it improves
Not terrible as far as the genre goes. I wasn't really fond of the beginning half of the book. A little too much over the top Sexualized, innuendo, et cetera. I get ITIT was part of the setup. But I personally also read these for the fun story lines. The actual adventure soda speak in this case sucked into a new world. With game lit Like properties. The system is a bit nebulized but it started to have some siblings of structure. I'm hoping Buy book 2 will have more structure. I did enjoy the second half of the book when they were actually doing something like battling and exploring. So looking forward to that in the second book before I make full judgment on the series.
I liked the characters, especially Brandon. He has a good heart and tries to help everyone without being too misogynistic. Sometimes succeeding and sometimes failing with the girls. I like the girls in the book, especially the main ones. I am not a big fan of the Harem Lord and paramour story device. I didn't like how the girls had no choices without the Harem Lord or die. But after finishing the book, I'm okay with the main character uses the system versus what others might do. I like the action and fantasy elements. The litrpg elements are decent but not the best in my opinion. The various harem scenes were fun and not too cumbersome that it blocked the flow of the story.
I read/listened to this because I read reviews that said it was good even though it was a harem fantasy. It wasn't a pulp harem fantasy and it had a story but it wasn't really for me. I usually listen to books at 3.5-4.0 x's speed and I was wishing for a 6x speed to get through this faster. I'm not saying it is bad because if you want a sexy graphic fantasy adventure this is for you. I personally would only give it 4 stars and that's because it's not someone I enjoyed but could appreciate and see that there is a good book there. I'm bumping up my rating to 5 stars because my biased view shouldn't hurt the author. I already have the other two books and am half way through the second book and unless something drastically changes I will give all 5 stars but for me they all are 4 star books.
I love it so far but hysterical whining girls hope they get with the program soon uggg so not cute I hate hysterical girls and I am one so annoying. But other than that I think 🤔 this is going to be good 👍 I love brandon ❤️ ( side note see how the girls are acting... this new age of women are ridiculous this is why a majority of men are backward and confused and yall complaining their are no good men because yall dummies won't let them be men he has to base all of his choices off them acting stupid he's conflicted about compliments men have no ideahow or what to say.) Poor brandon is going to have to get a backbone to deal with the spoiled girls or they are going to run all over him 😕
This story will definitely get you bonked by the horny bat. It's a fairly cliché isekai set up. If you prefer not all the girls immediately fauning over the MC this is the story.
My main complaint is formatting and the MC struggling to accept his new reality. Hopefully he gets over it sooner rather than later.
Strictly a sex book for teens with extremely limited story line. What little story line there is has already been written previously by other authors and done professionally. Personally, I believe this is a waste of time and not worth the cost. It certainly does not rate five stars. This one is a very strong pass.
A very unique portal fantasy with dungeon\gamelit aspects!! The world building is a little slow or Skippy at times but hopefully it'll improve as the series continues!!!
Not till the second half did u t get better. I see the next hurdle! Why does the all powerful voice have so many problems?penny needs a body! She needs to be guided c to stay "good".
For me I like a little more story and a lot less sex! For my taste constant sex becomes more of a turn off than a turn on. More battles with humans or beasts makes little difference, just less continuous sex.
If you don't take it too seriously then it's a lot of fun. Funny too. Very lacking in worldbuilding though, but I'm assuming it's going to clear up in the next books, given the questions they're asking in the novel.
One of the best harem stories I have read….and I’ve read lots of them. Lots of girls. Lots of adventure. Minimal stats to bog the story down. Real characters. Looking forward to book 2.
